After viewing the winter wonder (the frozen tower of water at the Glen Iris Inn), four of us enjoyed a delightful dinner at the Yard of Ale on route 63 (piffard, NY). The service was attentive and friendly. (the owner stop to say hello). Shrimp bisque soup, excellent, Prime rib juicy and generous, the ceasar salad was crisp and flavorful. This restaurant is comfortable and relaxing. Highlight of the day!!! JIM carozza

Im grateful to Google for helping me find the Yard a week ago; Im not sure I wouldve discovered it on my own. Yard of Ale is an historic landmark that is an out of the way place from Rochester. However, it is a gem in every sense of the dining experience and makes for a great special event destination.

We came in with a big group (and had reservations). They seated us immediately and were very friendly. The food took a while to come, but that was expected with our group size. Very good experience, and the food was yummy. No problems with our order.

Ive always had great dinners at Yard of Ale. The service is always good and the staff is very friendly. The bread plate is very classy. LOL. $7 beef on wicks on Wednesday night is a deal!

Menu looks more exciting than the food, had veal parm the veal was shredded and covered with breading and cheese. The coconut pie highly over stated nice interior but very noisy

Love this place. Great stop for special occasions. Has lots of room for private events and there are always creative and delicious features to choose from.

These folks have paid attention to prep and presentation dish by dish. A quiet and comfy historic rural building. Great for a date or small meetings.
