I came to the Bakery for breakfast every day during my college years. After college I went away and started a family. When my kid was born I returned to town and a daily ritual was renewed. The Bakery was once again a dependable daily for at the very least great coffee and fresh service. Over nearly another decade I continued to trust this spot on the daily. Now the allure of the Bakery has been passed on to my 8 year old who looks forward to her cookies and croissants. The staff treat everyone like a good friend. They are the measure of what any community should expect from a business. Cheers!

I have lived in New Paltz for several years and rarely go to the Bakery, but every time I give this local "landmark" a chance again I am wildly disappointed. Their food is mediocre at best, over overpriced, and there dreaded haired staff is obnoxious. Get a sandwich from Convenient Deli, or Tommy Cs, as they are both significantly better, and you dont have to question whether or not the gross individual behind the counter washed their hands. Their baked goods are nothing special. Just because they are the only bakery in town doesnt make them good.

The food is delicious and I, personally, find the staffs personal hygiene to be ideal. They are always friendly and accommodating when I stop by, and I have never had a meal there that I was unsatisfied with. A great mom & pop stop for those looking to avoid the greasy, grimy convenient deli, or even the often stale and overpriced Cafeteria. Their prices may be high in some peoples eyes, but I find the quality and service represented in this local business is worth a small premium on their goods.

A pet peeve of mine is when a place of business can not get simplist order right.I was the only person in line and order a toasted bagel with butter and one with cream cheese.Neither of them touched a toaster and had inedible amounts of butter and cream cheese on it. It was stale,hard and a huge disappointment.For me if youre to lazy to toast a bagel it has me questioning the cleaness of the worker.How far does this laziness transfer.Blonde girl at counter-get it together!

Hey Kay Hansen! Your review is as accurate as your spelling. The staff at the bakery could not be more hospitable. Also, if you want a certain amount of cream cheese, ask for a certain amount of cream cheese! They are not mind readers. They also have some of the best bagels Ive ever had. Its a great place to hang out, unwind, and eat some tasty treats. Dont trust reviews that say "simplist" Or "cleaness" instead of cleanliness.

I go to The Bakery almost every day! I live and work nearby, so its my favorite local place. My boyfriend and I stop in everyday, sometimes more than once. I usually get a coffee/tea and a sandwich or something small. Everything Ive had there is so delicious (especially the black & white cookies!) and the staff is super friendly and upbeat- always smiling/laughing. Its a great kid-friendly spot as well :)

Im relatively new to the area and I like to choose places to go and eat based on not just the food, but environment as well and this place has it all! Great selections, and comfortable place to sit down and eat with the family. Whether inside or outside, its fun and inviting. Great place!

Enjoyed the food. Delicious spinach croissant almond crescents and energy bars. Love the variety of bakery and food items and especially enjoying that out door tables. staff fellow was personable Engaging and helpful. Would definitely recommend the bakery to any of my friends.

I have been going to the Bakery since 1995. I love this place and although I live in NYC right now, I always make it a point to stop at the Bakery when I head up North or passing New Paltz. Everything there is great, the food the ambiance, all wonderful!

Lots of great sandwiches. Fresh bagels and good coffee. Friendly and helpful staff and plenty of seeing. Just what you need before and after a hike or climb at Minnewaska or Mohonk.

Coffee and breakfast sandwiches are really good. The upstairs room has games and toys for kids so I could enjoy my breakfast while my toddler played. Cookies are great too!
