I moved from Wa state where coffee is in our blood! And not just any coffee, GOOD coffee! Ive only found two places in the North East that serve coffee I will drink and this shoppe is ONE of them! Im in Kent a col times a year and I made it a point to stop for coffee at this darling shoppe! Yes, the staff are young, but I have always found them to be fun, friendly and completely competent. The people complaining should try smiling, and striking up a conversation. It works for me every time. ALWAYS had a pleasant experience, and have been going for 3 yrs now! The chocolate is also very good. Not the best Ive ever had, but definitely worth trying. The place is small inside, but has seating outside if you want to enjoy the weather and the charm of downtown. And no, there is no public restroom use. Its a tourist town, and the bathroom is in the back for the employees. Can you imagine the traffic if it were for public use? You cant hold that against them. There are gas stations and a grocery store where you can use a restroom if need be. Stop in and give them a chance if you know about great coffee! Totally worth the time and expense!

This is a local tradition. Great coffee, chocolate, chai tea, hot or cold, and now ice cream too. Known for their very sweet, practically dessert latte specials. Being lactose intolerant, I appreciate the varieties of milk alternatives offered for the lattes. They have moved to a new location north on Main Street, to a separate building by the train tracks on the west side of the street. Ample parking, a nice outdoor terrace, and a lovely restroom. (In a town that recently lost the only public restrooms, sorely needed in Kent.)

the Kent coffee shop has a very relaxed environment, with a family-esque staff that makes you feel at home. the chocolate is phenomenal, as well as their various baked goods. their truffles were noticed by Yankee magazine in the fall of 2010!

As soon as you walk in youre senses are overwhelmed with the delicious smell of coffee and chocolate. The staff was kind, pleasant and engaging. We were visiting CT from PA and will definitely be coming back the next time were in the area.

The staff here is young, incompetent and often rude. And, dont expect to be allowed to use their precious bathroom even if you spend plenty of money on their mediocre products. The chocolate is horrible.

A nice sense of community. Bring your notebook or a book of short stories and sit awhile. People pay for each others coffee before they get there and leave a note on a special board, its really nice.

Very nice store. The menu is large and the coffee selections are great. Honestly the only drawback is that it is a bit pricey. They also have a good selection of chocolates and other goodies.

They have a new place next to the railroad tracks ,Very good coffee as good as Starbucks and they have chocolate too,, plenty of parking around back
