I have eaten lunch here twice, separated by several years, and have been impressed both times. With the lunch entrees you have the choice of soup or salad, vegetables and potato salad (option) sides, and a desert (with coffee or tea) of fruit with chocolate fondue. I have had the chicken and the pork loin in cognac with apples, and I found both cooked in a very nice manner. The presentations are simple but everything is well done. The ambiance and service fits the food, and the wood-fired oven adds a very nice odor. I would go very often, but alas, I live many hours away; I make a point of trying to go when I am in the area.

Just dined there this weekend. Big disappointment. Keep in mind this is a small restaurant. My table was a party of three and it took 40 minutes to get one appetizer, a shrimp cocktail. It took almost an hour to get our salads and they were old, some leafs wilted. Total time to get our entrees was an hour and a half. Two of us ordered the duck and it was overcooked and the potatoes were dry. To top it off, I ended up very sick that night from the meal. Spoke to the owner and he was not very apologetic. Will never eat here again or recommend to anyone.

I went there for dinner with my mom for the first time. The dinner was great. The owner very nice lady was there to talk to you and help you with your order. The waiter Peter, very nice young man. The dinner was was very good. My mom , also enjoyed her dinner as well and also liked her cup of coffee. I give the Millbrook Cafe 5 Stars. Bob from Pleasant Valley, NY

I found this restaurant by accident a few months ago. My wife and I and 2 friends have been going there almost every Friday night since. The food is absolutely to die for. The service top notch. The chef cooking in a wood fired grill is amazing to watch. Dont miss out. oh and did I mention the "Lemontini" Fun Bill Pope LaGrangeville

Had lunch there yesterday. I had Caesar salad and BLT, wife had ribs and son had shrimp cocktail. All were really good. Everything is made to order so do not be in a hurry. Sit back and enjoy a beverage. The beer selection was good but the Bloody Mary was a little bland. Im definitely coming back

Worked for them back in high school, and really sucked at the job. They were patient and nice and really tried to teach me. The food is great and service is great there. Id highly recommend to someone looking for a nice local night out.
