We met friends there for Cinco de Mayo 2017. What a complete scam. They advertised that they’d be giving out free shots every hour, yet we never saw even one free shot. We grabbed a menu and ordered only to find out we couldn’t use the regular menu and had to use the “special” Cinco de Mayo menu. Guess what? Compared to the regular menu, and according to our friends who’ve been there before, the “special” menu got us much smaller portions for much higher prices. That’s really special, isn’t it? Here’s what we got: Margaritas in SMALL plastic cups packed with ice for $10 and $12.50 each! Two TINY beef empanadas on a plate for $9.99. The smallest order of nachos I’ve seen in my life for $11.99. Five jalapeno poppers (three were very small) for $7.99. And none of the food wow-ed us. All told, we spent $94 and were still starving and had four cups full of ice left. We really felt we were ripped off. We won’t be going back and we can’t recommend the place. You should NEVER have to leave a place feeling you’ve been scammed.

I had our purchased a Groupon & excited to finally try since I had heard good things. Unfortunately my experience was not pleasurable. 1st they gave me hard time @ Groupon insisting it was not valid on fri & sat. I had to show them fine print and details to prove it did not state restrictions. While eating I realized that when I opened voucher earlier it had redeemed (but did state date & time which was while we were in restaurant). They were annoyed w me and proceeded to lecture me on how to use groupon. The waiter was very rude about it I was taken back that it will be some time before I try and visit again. Re: maybe it was because it was the day after cinco de mayo however the ckn tortilla soup was lacking flavor & same w ckn quesadilla. Cheese in quesadilla tasted like provolone. The ckn fajitas were good.

OMG!! We got charged $1 for a couple of tablespoon of hot sauce. Who charges for condiments?? Mexican food and hot sauce...hello!! The hot sauce should already be on the table. We went on a Tuesday for an early dinner. We were the only one at the restaurant. They had happy hour but the waiter couldnt give me the same prices on the drinks because I have to sit at the bar. Anyway, I ended up not ordering a drink. Too bad, they could have had a few more dollars. Anyway, food was bland (thats why I asked for hot sauce), lacking the typical Mexican spices. My kids, who are usually all over the yellow rice, did not even touch them. We would not go back to this place, even if it was the last Mexican restaurant in our town.

I have been here a few times. The food is good for the area. I only gave two stars because I am disappointed in my experience tonight. I went for Cinco de Mayo. They handed out a menu with "specials". The specials was the regular menu with higher prices! So when I ordered the nachos, I was even more disappointed that they served smaller portions than normal. Who raises prices and gives less food for a "special". They took advantage of their patrons because they knew people would come out for the holiday. Also, they advertised free shots every hour for Cinco de Mayo. They did not offer free shots the entire time I was there. I will probably not revisit this restaurant.

Went to Excelencia Mexicana last month for my birthday to try someplace new and my experience was great. I ordered some guacamole as an appetizer and it was to die for! Definitely going to order that just for take out next time. As for my meal I had the enchiladas . As for the enchiladas they were yummy and it came with rice and beans, the portions are generous and the prices are fair. The most fun part was when they came out with fried ice cream and my friends and I got to wear sombreros, it was a cool touch. Service, staff, and place is wonderful.

Horrible expierence. First they were short staffed. So everything took real long and even though the waitress was running around the manager just stood at the entrance watching her run around. Second the portions are so small now. Even the side of rice was small. Then to top it off. After we all ordered entree s and a appetizer and dessert it was a kid s birthday. They said they can bring out a scoop of ice cream with a candle. Ha. $2.50 for a scoop of ice cream they charged me. This place is a rip off now. STAY AWAY.

Eating in this establishment was one of the worst experiences of my life... From the time we ordered it took an hour for our food to come... They got two orders wrong, when one of the orders was replaced it had a hair in it... I got a seafood paella that was terrible! It was covered in cilantro, dry, and it was for two but not a large serving was brought... The exterior doors caused a draft to constantly be flowing through the place... I can guarantee I wont be eating here again nor will I be recommending it to anyone....

Love the food, hate the service. Ive honestly been here a handful of times and today I decided to come here for my younger sisters birthday. Worst decision ever. Im sitting here fustrated with the outcome so far... Meal took forever to come out, I didnt get my chips and salsa the server that took my order was not even friendly. Im not coming back thats how disappointed I am.

If I can give a negative star, I would. Went there yesterday , was helped by one employee and boy was he UNPLEASANT. Acted like we were a bother when we came in. Wasnt interested in having ppl come in. Food wasnt even great. Hardly got any rice and beans. Its just plan terrible. Would NOT RECOMMEND. WILL NOT RETURN.

What a wonderful decoration and original candles jars!! The food was very good and original while service was superb. I had the Guacamole Excelencia as appetizer and I would highly recommend it! Definitely coming back for xmas!......had a Monster Margarita my wife and I and truly enjoy it! thank you guys!

Everything was very good! The fresh made guacamole was delicious. I loved my burrito bowl. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The staff was kind, friendly and attentive. Even the bar was fun and funky. Definitely will be back!
