Ive been to this restaurant multiple times. The best way to describe the place is "inconsistent". The first time I went, the food was fantastic. I got their Gorgonzola Sausage Cakes for a starter and they were amazing. The house dressing on the salad I believe was a warm bacon dressing, which was also fantastic. Then I got the lobster mac and cheese, and that was phenomenal. All in all, a great first time. It was downhill for subsequent visits. The next time we went, I got the same sausage cakes and they were INCREDIBLY greasy. There is a proper way to cook this kind of fried cake, and they did not do it that way on that particular day (typically a pan-sear is the way to go, this tasted like it was deep fried). Then I decided to get the lobster mac again (I settle into "food ruts" when I find something I really like), but was told 5 minutes after ordering that they were out of lobster. So I switched up my order for a portobello rizzoto. That was pretty fantastic, so I was appeased, but annoyed that they were out of lobster at what was the beginning of their dinner hours. The next time we went, we switched up to a fried ravioli for our starter - it was over cooked and gummy. I believe I ordered the lobster mac again (what can I say? The first time made a REALLY good impression) and was told again that they were out of lobster, but I could substitute another seafood. Seriously? If you never have lobster for the LOBSTER MAC, why have it on the menu? So I did swap it out for shrimp. Bad idea. The flavor wasnt even close. The last time (and I mean it was the LAST time we will ever go there), we waited 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order (it was NOT busy), another 10 minutes to get the drinks, another 20 minutes to get our salads, and approximately 10 minutes AFTER receiving our salads, I was informed they were out of whatever I ordered. How do you run out of food so often and why did it take you so long to tell me? My wife and I were there for 3 hours total, and its not because we were just hanging out. It was because the service times were so terrible. And you know what? When I complained, NOTHING was done. NOTHING! I emailed the owners about it - never received a response. This was about a year ago. Ill never return to this restaurant and I tell ANYONE who even breathes their name to stay far away. They lost potentially loyal customers that day and gained people who tell others to never go there. Seriously, if you enjoyed a previous dining experience there, just wait. It wont last.

ABSOULTELY HORRIBLE! Four of us decided to try this restaurant because we have never been there before. Well, upon arrival the outside looked very shabby. Deck is old and needs restaining. The trim around the outside had paint peeling. No landscaping. Once we got inside, it wasnt any better. The paint was peeling on the wainscoting, wires for the speakers hanging from the walls, very little decor. But, we were willing to overlook that if the food was good. Unfortunately it was awful. I ordered seafood bisque which said on the menu it was flambeed. When I asked the waitress about it, she had no clue what I was talking about. When the soup came out, she gave me a shot glass of sherry on the side. Did she expect me to pour the sherry on myslef and light it? The soup was so terribly salty, that I only ate the seafood out of it. My husband took one spoonful and gagged bec. it was so salty. And it cost $9.00! Complained to the waitress and asked her to let the chef know. The bread was stale pizza bread that came with tasteless dipping oil. Awful. The salad was good. I ordered stuffed orange roughy with a cream sauce. That too was terribly salty. My husband had a strip steak that was very fatty. The couple we were with ordered filet mignon that was overcookedand had a stange taste. My friends fries were overcooked, obviously in old oil and inedible. In fact a table near us had three kids who all ordered fries and the kids refused to eat them. When my friend complained about the fries they offered another side dish. He ordered smashed potatoes which were cold and had a very strange gummy texture. We all complained about our dinners and asked to have money taken off our bills. The hostess offered a free dessert, but we are not dessert eaters. Again we asked to have money taken off our bills, but the hostess said that because we ate our meals, they couldnt do that. I said that we ate only SOME of the meal because we were hungry! She ended off taking only $2.00 off of each bill, pathetic. She said because the owner wasnt there, she couldnt do any more. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! TERRIBLE CHEF. WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!

I have been meaning to try this place for a while and tonight we went to our another place that had a line out the door so we decided to try something new. My wife and I arrived and were greeted by a nice Hostess and seated right away on a Friday night. The menu was interesting but we figured for the first time there, we would keep it simple. My wife had a burger and I had the Rueben. The food was great and the prices were OK. The waiter was OK even though you could tell he lacked experience and was not as attentive as you might expect. My only complaints have nothing to do with the food, but the ambiance. No tablecloths, the front step/landing is broken and I tripped, and the noise level was incredible. I had to ask the waiter to repeat himself over and over. I would suggest a little maintenance to the exterior and soften the interior somewhat. Table linens would add a little class and deaden some of the noise. Additional sound deadening materials should be placed on the ceiling & walls would quiet things down a lot. To me it was like eating a good meal in a school cafeteria.

My favorite restaurant FOR SURE.....been here 4 times and everything is always DELICIOUS!!! Customer service is good, the one blonde hair hostess (owner) is extremely friendly and always goes around to each table to make sure everything is good and everyone is satisfied. Hilltops chicken wings are awesome!!! The chicken literally comes right off the bone!!! I guess its because they are smoked, then deep fried briefly, and finished by baking after applying the sauce...mmmm! Their soups and fish fry and stuffed pepper dish and salads are excellent! Presentation is EXCELLENT too! Prices are very fair. Delicious newage, classic and healthy food options...they are always busy, but the Wait for a table never is bad!! Extremely satisfied....and Im a tough critic to please. My SINGLE and ONLY complaint is their decor....outdated and blah. But Im more than happy to look past that! One of the best, consistent restaurants in Niagara County/Lockport/Wrights Corners. Thanks Hilltop!!
