DO NOT EAT HERE - save yourself the aggravation. Should have believed the bad reviews. Definitely were right. Came in for dinner with my family. The premises are deteriorating, ripped seats (foam popping out) with not even an attempt to tape them, all juke boxes are broken. Food was average, nothing spectacular. What made it horrible was the service. One older waitress with a ***t sandwich for an attitude. I was not the only patron who noticed. Very unhappy individual who should never be working in the service industry. She literally rolled her eyes after an extra request. I didnt even ask for refills on the soda as I was afraid of "extra ingredients in the cup. Was thinking of no tip to show dissatisfaction, but then decided with a 10% last minute - BiG mistake. Somehow the owner passed that info to the waitress, who I could hear on my way out discussing me and mentioning some unsavory things about my personality. Hey owner - only reason I didnt cause a scene was because my kids were there. Terrible way to run a business, that is why it is deteriorating. Hopefully others will heed my advise and go to plenty of other diners in the area (ex: Dennys and Silo Restaurant is only few min away).

Stumbled upon this place last winter, nothing else was open in this sleepy hamlet of Lake George NY. We sat at the counter directly in front of the entrance. We ordered our food and I noticed to my left, not 3 feet away, a manager/employee/waitress was staring at us. It was not the same waitress that took our order. I tried to ignore her but finally gave her a "look" so she moved away, to the hostess stand- behind us and by the front door, still staring right at us. Did not know what her problem was, but she was very strange. I gave her another "look" but to no avail. What was her problem? Did she think we were going to dine and dash? Not a chance. A family in a minivan with 2 well mannered kids are hardly a problem. Was it the first time she saw people with all their teeth? Not sure what her problem was. Oddly, the food was not bad..not great but not bad. Service was OK. But the woman employee staring at us left us all very unnerved. We paid our bill and left- we will never return.

Never got our meal. This is a diner, not a fancy restaurant, and we ordered things that should have been ready in a few minutes. There were no tables open so we sat at the very uncomfortable counter. We both ordered ice teas and they appeared to be instant ice teas - bad taste and what appeared to be undissolved powder on the side of the glass. A table opened up so after asking the person at the register if we could sit there she said yes. The waitresses started complaining because the waitress supposedly assigned to that table wasnt the one who took the order, so we had to move back to the counter. When our food orders werent out after about 1/2 hour we left.

Just avoid this place...my wife and I normally love "hole in the walls" and traditional diners, and that is the reason why we stopped by this place...the food was beyond mediocre, bordering on awful, the service was rude and extremely curt and the clientele looked like it had just left a Donald Trump rally...we had to ask for coffee refills many times, my potatoes arrived cold and both of our meals looked like they had been haphazardly slapped onto the plate...to echo a previous reviewer, it seemed like everyone in the place was looking at us without actually looking at us...very odd vibe, but most importantly, the food was not good.

after looking up different places to get breakfast online we decided to go to the breakfast spot on route 9n. When we got there, however, the place was closed for the winter season, as were many other places. We drove for an hour searching and finally came across this diner. How I didnt see this place when I first looked for breakfast spots is beyond me. Its not big but its cozy and friendly. The food was great and satisfied our appetites after looking for a meal for such a long time. The waitress was friendly and our food barely took any time to get to us. I will definitely be going back again during my trip :-)

The staff here is really friendly, nice and the food is delicious and really affordable too! They serve breakfast throughout the day and have a great selection of breakfast and lunch items. My only complaint is that there was the occasional, pesky fly buzzing about but aside from that, dining there was a fab experience. The pancakes and BLT are great!!!!!

Food is good. Place seems a bit militant in how they treat people. Had a waitress run over my 4 year old twice on the way to and from the restroom. Guess they figure they get a lot of out of town guests here who they will never see again so screw it. Food was decent. Id eat here again but take out only.

Weve been coming here for the past 5 years and its always been ok but when we went back this past weekend the place was filthy, dirty and disgusting. The tables were sticky and the floors were covered of food that had been dropped and no one bothered to clean up for at least a few days.

Obviously only locals have this place running the amount of flies that were in the restaurant were disgusting the food was ok I could do something better at home but since I was on vacation there are not many places that serve breakfast I would not come again

Best place for breakfast in Lake George Village. Though the place is tiny, the food was really great. We visited during Columbus Day Weekend, and it we stopped on our last day. Its a shame because had we known, definitely would have visited everyday.

I love diners. Sadly they are slowly disappearing but Prospect Mountain is still going strong. Will any of the food on the menu merit a Michelin star? No. But they do serve some good diner classics. I had an omelette and coffee and it was great.

The western omlete was delicious. Didnt care for the toast. Small joint with an old look. I had a party of six and had trouble fitting in a booth. Parking is free and readily available. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Would go again.

Stopped here for breakfast one morning. The service was fast and friendly and the food was good! The home fries were more like scallop potatoes then actual home fries but they still tasted good just not what I was expecting!

My favorite place when I am in town . I love the breakfast specials, and if I am really hungry I have the steak and eggs. They have different specials every day for lunch, some homestyle, always good.

Diners beware, if you have a shellfish allergy this place isnt for you as everything is fried in the same oil. I also have a gluten intolerance, so besides salad there was nothing on the menu for me.
