Took my family here for hibachi one weekend night when I could not get a reservation at Benihana, and it was great- I actually thought the food, service, and ambiance (it was less noisy) were better than Benihaha. Also the combo selection was better, for example they have hibachi duck and tuna, in addition to the usual chicken/shrimp/steak dishes. The hibachi performance and progression was pretty much identical to Benihana. I also ordered the cajun salmon sushi which was fantastic. I didnt at all get the sense that this was greasy generic food. Wait staff were attentive and friendly. The prices were about the same as Benihana. Inside it was clean, well lit, and average looking inside (i.e. there no japanese achitectural pretense like Benihaha). From the outside, the place looks generic, being in the middle of a strip mall next to a grocery store, but as a plus, theres plenty of parking. If youre looking for a pleasant and enjoyable Hibachi, I would highly recommend this restaurant. PROS- Great food, atmosphere, and service CONS- Uninspiring facade, average Hibachi prices. BY THE WAY- THIS PLACE DOES EXIST! (theres a post below that says otherwise)

EXCELLENT FOOD & GREAT SERVICE I have seen this place a million times when going to the supermarket and never thought to stop in as it doesnt look like anything special from the outside. The waiter was so friendly and other members of the staff stopped by frequently to ensure everything was perfect. The food was great and far different from your typical Chinese food takeout. (This is a Japanese place but also serves items you would find in a typical Chinese takeout place) They filet fresh chicken and toss it in the sauce. None of the meat is similar to that you find in typical takeout places (i.e. mystery meat). The cutlets are so thin and well cooked. I never had Chinese food like this. Spicy Pineapple Chicken - fantastic. General Tso Chicken - perfect. Shrimp Tempura - fresh. Small green salad - pretty good. the lettuce was a bit wet. (but at least that means they wash it) Almond flavored hot Sake - delicious. Seating -- the tables have a good amount of space between them. It is much bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. I look forward to going back here.

A fantastic place to have a meal. A nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Of course the food is well worth it. Have both hibachi, dinner tables, and sushi bar. Plenty of delicious meals for everyone to pick. Highly recommend for the every day meal out to party occasions. Kids love the hibachi shows and their chefs are the best. A very family friendly restaurant to be in. They even celebrate your birthday by taking a picture of you and place it on their walls. If you or someone else is trying Japanese cuisine for the first time, then this is the restaurant to go to. You will not be disappointed and will want to come back for more.

Huge portions of shrimp tempura, perfectly fried, good variety of battered onions, garlic, eggplant, cucumber and sweet potato; Christmas Tree sushi was very good; Miso soup tasted bland, probably watered down; tempura sauce was similar, didnt have any grated ginger to make it authentic tempura sauce; service was fair but server had no clue about tempura sauce; family atmosphere so be prepared for extreme noise from Hibachi area due to kids & teenagers

Im obsessed with Sushi Ya. I love their food, drinks and staff. Marsha at the door and Paul the manager/owner are so friendly. I picked up an order and got a little treat, a glass shot of my favorite white zinfandel wine... After-all, youre always family at Sushi Ya. Dont forget to check the outrageous photo wall of all the loving customers. Truly a hidden gem.

Terrific quality fish and great sake selection. I had nice pieces of salmon and white tune, as well and a nice roll. Service was outstanding, the wait staff was very attentive without being overbearing. Started dinner with the "Clear soup" which was a first for me and it was delicious. Ill definitely be visiting here again. Prices were reasonable too.

We tried a couple of different rolls and appetizers to start with and all were great. We then went into the hibachi area and had filet mignon and shrimp, which was very good. The staff and owner were exceptionally friendly. Would definitely go back.

First of all , dont go to that rest depend on rating , it is way overrated, it is a filthy place , no decor , food is not good at all , and when you walk in it feels like massage salon , dont waste your money find a better rest to have sushi good luck

Disappointed. I found the menu a bit pricey and was disappointed they didnt honor a coupon because of a misprint. Waitstaff and chef were nice but host and manager were unprofessional. Food was nothing special Not going there again.
