I am usually the type to just read reviews and and make a guesstimate how good the food is. I am from Flushing, Queens and I can say unequivocally this pizza is exactly how all Pizza should be. I have had Lombardis in little Italy and Vezzos in Murray hill which are both very good. But nothing like this pizza hits home. Im kinda surprised that there are actually bad reviews. I have live in queens 20 plus years and I cant even count on both my fingers and toes how many times I have had their pizza and its pretty consistent. If there are any adventurous tourists that want to taste a real slice of NY pizza. Here is a place to go. Its simple go in get your pizza and get out. Nothing fancy but the pizza :-)

This is the best pizza place in NY. The pizza is amazing. I love the tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. Amore does the best ratio of tomato sauce to mozzarella cheese. So many pizza places put on way to much mozzarella cheese on the doe. With the other pizza places, because they put on so much cheese, by the time the pizza pie is ready you can barely see any tomato sauce. The pizza looks way to cheesy. The pizza maker at Amore kind of spaces out the mozzarella cheese on the doe and uses a nice amount of tomato sauce on the doe. The finished product is a perfect looking pizza pie.

This is the type of Pizza joint that made Pizza famous in America. Their Neapolitan round slice is outstanding. The thin crust and delicious sauce with the right amount of cheese. The place is also packed and they pump out slice after slice. This Pizza is just a simple work of art. This is the food that powers the people that are the salt of the earth. This is a slice of heaven that is not to be missed. Leave DiFaris Pizza to the clueless out of towners and Midwestern transplants that grew up on microwaved chicken nuggets. The real NY Pizza in in Queens at Amores.

I grew up in Flushing Queens my whole life. I worked in Manhattan, I went to school in the Bronx, and in my teens I hung out Brooklyn. Hands down this is the best pizza in New York. For the past twelve years I lived on South Beach and my first stop when I go to New York is Amore. Yes, the place is nothing to brag about the employees are rude but who cares the Pizza is AWESOME!!! Its the most amazing sauce and thier slices have the perfect amount of cheese and a thin crust.

Great food but horrible staff, was in there today and was minding my own business when a old woman who works there, one whos so ugly that she tries to show her breasts to compensate for it asked me to move my seat up because it was touching her chair. lol wheres the customer service at these days. Also the fat girl who takes the orders needs to act more civilized. Excellent pizza but horrible staff and possibly owners too.

This is the best pizza joint in New York City. Ive started going there since I was a little boy. I live in Miami Beach now, but every time I go back to see my family in NYC, I always visit Amores. I know the founders, Big and Little Sal, and their sons - and that other son via Poland - Andy! :-) Theyve stayed true in making only the best pizza! They are truly Making America Great Again! God bless you guys - Robert

Amazing place to hear music. We came for the Johnny Clegg show, scored table seats 8 feet from the stage- he smiled at me :-) And holy crap- the sound system is kick-ass!!! The place was packed and we were elbow to elbow with people at other tables, but the waitstaff was pleasant and competent. I swear it was the happiest place in Manhattan for a couple of hours.

Best cheese slice in Flushing (and queens?) next to Lucias. Slices are $2.75 (recently upped) and the only con is that sometimes the pizza comes out super hot and I burn the roof of my mouth. Not their fault! But it is totally worth the burns. Just take your time and enjoy your slice instead of shoving the whole slice in your face like me and youll be fine :)

By far the worst pizzeria Ive ever been to! I had a slice of pepperoni and mushroom pizza and spaghetti with meatballs. The pizza was under cooked, all the toppings was still cold. The spaghetti with meatballs is the worst, the sauce is just sour doesnt even taste like tomato sauce and the meatballs has no flavor and too dry.

I just moved to L.I. after living within 5 minutes of Amore, for the better part of 40 years. This is the pizza I was introduced to as a young child, and the pizza I grew up with. I know the two Sals and Andy practically all my life. There is NOTHING that compares, or even comes close to Amore. I really miss that pizza.

Only God can make a better slice!!!! If you dont agree, your lying to yourself. Bet you cant eat just one. Once the blisters on the roof of your mouth go away because youll rarely get a reheated slice. Youll be back to get more. And BTW. Dont listen to Jiang whatever his name is. Hes too skinny to comment

The best pizza in Queens hands down BUT if you want the worst customer service and rudeness from the employees AND the fat owner or whoever he is, this is the place to go. As a business owner or manager or whatever he is Im surprised I havent seen anyone snap back at him for how disgusting he can be.

The only reason I gave them one star is because there slices are good. The owners are cheap AF!! They treat there employees horrible, they are racist towards there customers..... I have heard it with my own ears and Sal Jr. Hit on one of the waitresses and when she turned him down he fired her!!!

Horrible! No health grade posted, and when I ordered pepperoni on my slice the man who had just taken my money (bare handed) stuck his dirty hand in a container of pepperoni and put it on my food. He also threw my change at me across the counter, awful experience.

Been going here since as long as I can remember. The pizza here is distinct and I have never had a slice that tastes like theirs. So much that all the locals who have been coming for years call it eating Amores instead of eating pizza.

The BEST pizza HANDS down. Better than Defaras, Grimaldis, and all the other overrated tourist trap pizzerias. Only Pizzeria Suprema across from Penn Station comes close. So great to be living back in Flushing after a 30 year absence.

Who cares how the service is when the pizza is the best youre gonna get in NYC? You pay, you get your pie, you enjoy your delicious slices at home. For the record, Ive never really had an issue with any of the employees here.

Pizza not quite as good as it was years ago. Best pizza was when AS and CR worked there, along with the owners, Big Sal and Little Sal! Those were the days!! Bring CR back!! Different customers and workers these days.....
