The Towne remains "the gathering place" in Buffalo: visiting Musicians, touring actors and dancers, local politicians, and its "regulars" all enjoy the truly Greek experience of wonderful food, good drink, and warm and friendly staff. I have seen Rockettes, and NFL Quarterbacks enjoying their meals at the Towne. The chefs are truly talented: one can have a very satisfying "Swiss Mushroom Melt" but also very nicely done Prime Rib or Mediterranean style Grouper, all at very reasonable prices. I believe their fish fry is the best in town.! You will always be greeted by the impeccably dressed and professional manager, Thomas, and his lovely wife. The Towne have recently started a Brunch which is simply beautiful and gives terrific value for the cost of about 18 dollars, including a Mimosa! There are breakfast options such as scrambled eggs(very fresh looking) and fantastic appearing poached eggs, with all breakfast meats available. The Brunch has excellent roast beef and turkey carving stations, and then very crisp looking salads such as ceasar, green bean, and multiple pasta options. There are white scoops of pure greek yogurt with bowls of berries, fruit and granola to go with it. The deserts are lovely Baklava and other "dulces"very reminiscent of Greek cafes. The Brunch reminds me of those one sees in hotels in Europe: NOT piles and piles of glutinous seafood newburg, but, fresh foods, meats, and breads tastefully arranged on a very neat and attractive setting. I really think it is a "different" kind of brunch, more Europe than Buffalo. My impression upon observing the brunch was "there are some finely trained chefs in this restaurant" I have been a customer of the Towne for over ten years.

Ive been going to the Towne since I was a teenager, and went often later on when I lived in the neighborhood. It has gone through a number of changes over the years (of course, since it has been there for generations). Something that concerns me is the inconsistency of the eating experience. Probably less so for the quicker meals, like souvlaki or burgers. But meals like mousaka can be great one time and not so good another time. What is real good is their rice pudding (I like it with whipped cream on top). Their gyro meal is good, not the pressed cold cut type you get elsewhere. Prices, like at most places, have consistently gone up at the Towne. So for basic food like hot dogs or an omelet you should be OK. But for some of the other meals, it might be good one time and disappointing another time (undercooked or overcooked, for instance).

I LOVE this place! As a college student from out of state, I am always on the lookout for great places to eat and explore. I found this place my freshman year, and it continues to be one of my favorites (Im a junior now). Ive always had amazing, fresh breakfast here, their homemade yogurt is AMAZING! I went here this past week for dinner, and of course, it was also delicious! Well priced, especially for dinner! I got two meals out of my plate, they are very generous with portions. I had a gyro dinner with Greek potatoes. My favorite breakfast is their stuffed French toast. If you are new to the city or exploring Buffalo, I recommend heading over to Allentown and visiting the Towne!

Went in and ordered 2 beef and lamb souvlaki and one chicken souvlaki dinners . Very disappointed, the lamb and beef were not chunks of real meat but ground beef ( hamburger) and I guess ground lamb . We took our meals to go and when we opened them the aroma was good but the meat was over cooked and BURNT and VERY dry . If I didnt have a drink I couldnt eat a bite . We went out on a friends boat to eat our dinner and it was HORRIBLE . Bottom line , ill never waste a dime there again . Oh yea 3 dinners 43.00 and change . Not worth it .

The food was OK, helpings are not plentiful. And the coffee was weak (very eeak) We asked for tea because the coffee was crappie and it was Luke warm. So we asked for more tea but this time with hot water so the manager brought it either the wait staff. Made us look like whining complainers but really all I Want is a good cup of coffee or at least a hot cup of tea. Not too much to ask I think.. Wont be back

From Greek food to breakfast to Texas Hots, the menu is varied … there is something for everyone, and the quality of the food ranges from very good to darn-near fine dining. Be sure to have a hostess seat you, as this is the only part of your visit where things can go wrong. The waitstaff is welcoming and efficient. The prices are quite low and the portions are more than one would expect … so, chow down.

Waited 45 minutes for our food when the place was barely 30% full. They add gratuity for parties of 5 or more....really, 5?? The food was average to poor and the service was non-existent. Im not sure if the place has really declined like this or I was always too hung over when I used to come here to notice. Either way, Id go someplace else if I were you.

Ive always like this place and have eaten there many times. But tonight they over charged our take out and we didnt notice until we got home. When we called, the manager refused to do anything about it. I wouldnt say they are overly concerned with customer satisfaction but this is BS. They really dont care.

Bad. Waitress was pretty rude. Never came back to the table after dropping off food. Had to flag her down after we saw her finally come out of the back for a few napkins. Beef on their "slovaki" breakfast was way over cooked. Canadian bacon was just pathetic. I will not be eating here again, ever

Nothing fancy, just a simple Greek Restaurant on a busy Allentown corner. Go for the fruit pancakes, but stay away from the orange juice, which Im convinced is just pure water. Quiet and enjoyable though. Waitresses can be a bit slow in terms of service, even when the restaurant isnt busy.

5⭐Customer service! Great diner food. I love their soup, especially the avgolemono, chicken lemon rice! And my go-to meal, the chicken pasta orzo (with extra feta and no fungus) and a great salad and pita! Did I mention the in-house hummus? Yum! Yum! Yum! And saganaki! Flaming cheese!

We made reservations a month ago for New years day brunch. For 13 people . It was written down right in front of there eyes and the still looked shocked when we arrived. Very unprepared for such a fine restaurant. I will definitely look into other places before I come here again.

Good food....but the homefries are always burned....like leftover from the day before ... parking is usually sucky too, because they allow non prooprieters to use their parking lot,,, this has forced people away from they,re , once was thriving restsurant.

Very friendly waiters. The chef sometimes comes out and hes friendly. The food is good, but pricey. Chicken fingers should not be over $9 for a small Greek restaurant. But it is a nice place to see friends at 4 a.m. when the bars close.

Its a large Greek diner in an extremely advantageous location. Service is usually very good. Food is just ok. If youre just looking for eggs and coffee, this will get the job done. Dont order the fancy stuff and avoid the Sunday crunch time.
