If we all scream for ice cream than youll enjoy losing your voice for this place! After youve strained your vocal chords for cold confectionery treats you can nurse them back to health with something as original and refreshing as it is soothing. Id gladly volunteer to have my tonsils surgically removed if it meant Id be treated to Odd Fellows until I could resume eating solid table fair. There are plenty of stores whipping up flavorful chilly deliciousness, I believe what sets them apart are the culmination of the ingredients and the recipe. It can certainly be argued rhetorically its just ice cream, right? Many make and have made delectable frozen treats and have yet to think outside of the proverbial and mundane "its just ice cream" box. The opposite is true for the folks over at OddFellows in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Imagine yourself for a moment roasting marshmallows over an open camp fire then squeezing that gewy sweetness between a piece of Hersheys milk chocolate and two graham crackers. Now imagine that traditional american oldie but goodie as two scoops of ice cream and a cone. Again, roasted marshmallows, milk chocolate, and graham crackers pulverized into an iced cream in a cone of your choice. My words fail to describe just how decadent these treats are. This is just one of the many examples of the way ice cream was meant to be enjoyed and experienced. Oddfellows is your typical atypical ice cream shop if that makes any sense. We were in town and decided to drop by and see what all the noise was about after OddFellows aired on our favorite cooking channel. The venue is clean, vibrant and hip. The staff is accommodating, friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. If ever you are in Brooklyn and in the mood for some ice cream patronize this establishment, your taste buds will thank you for it!

Charming and innovative. Flavor profiles are stunning-- you can taste the premium ingredients like foie gras, olive oil, salt...sometimes its subtle like the Extra Virgin Olive Oil ice cream and other flavors are intense like grapefruit jalapeño sorbet but the best thing is the combinations that change every visit to the shop! They are not complacent and you have to try more than just one flavor. The ambience is exactly what you expect for Williamsburg, Brooklyn today. The soda fountain bar is a showstopper- nostalgia done right. Staff is pleasant...they make you feel welcome which is surprisingly missing from a lot of New York spots. Chef Sam Mason is the consummate host and really knows what hes doing. There is intention with the ice cream he handcrafts. OddFellows is ice cream with conviction. They have a purpose. Stop in regardless of the weather. You appreciate life more after leaving OddFellows.

In the hipster filled Williamsburg neighborhood youll find this local ice cream shop which is great to cater to all the new residence buildings being built here. Its a large ice cream shop with plenty of tables and great service. We got to taste test any flavor we wanted but my go to was the pecan pie ice cream. Full of flavor and you can taste every main ingredient. Very refreshing on a summer day. They rotate very creative flavors through each month so its interesting to see what they come up with. This month they had a basil ice cream that was also pretty good. The store has a circus decor theme and with a yelp check in you get a monkey mascot pin.

Before we ordered, one of the employees came and gave my son a sample of two flavors, which I thought was very nice. Thank goodness we ordered before the line exploded, because it definitely got crazy. I ordered the oddflavor of the day the Boozy rosè sorbet, errrrrrmmmmahgasssshhhh it was soooo good. I wish this flavor could be the only sorbet I eat for the rest of my life. Lesigh I just got the lil man the chocolate chunk, which he devoured. Hes an ice cream monster, so Im sure he would have eaten any flavor. Mr. Hangry got the caramelized white chocolate on a sugar cone. I will definitely be coming back and hopefully get more boozy sorbets!!

Big Gay Ice Cream may rule the roost in Manhattan, but OddFellows has a lockdown for the best ice cream in Brooklyn. The main reason to walk down towards the water when in Williamsburg is their diverse list of seasonal flavors all homemade made from fresh ingredients. Take for example country biscuit ice cream with chunks of buttery biscuits or tobacco leaf smoked chili huckleberry. The list goes on and on, Guinness flavored ice cream, sesame kumquat pumpernickel, manchego pineapple with thyme and oatmeal cookie dough. Bottom line: If you like ice cream and like unique flavors, then OddFellows is a must visit next time in youre in Williamsburg.

Oh, come ON, people! This is quite literally the best ice cream store in THE WORLD, let alone New York. The PBJ with Toast was astonishing, with fabulous PB flavor and little croutons for crunch. The Cornbread was rich and flavorful and sublime. Maple Bacon Pecan is, I swear, one of the worlds top ten ice creams, with bits of bacon mingling with sweet *candied* pecans. Also in the worlds top ten is the Lime Tarragon. Ask for a taste. I guarantee you itll put a smile on your face as your brain wonders why its never, ever experienced anything quite as good. Edited to add new flavors: Chamomile Peach, Celery, Grapefruit Hyssop, Beet/Goat Cheese

For an ice cream place that prides itself with unique flavors, it fell short. So first of all there was only one server, and he was extremely slow, It almost looked like that he was high on something.... go to "ample hills creamery" for example to see how service in an ice cream shop should look like. I tried almost all of their flavors, but nothing was outstanding! So I decided to go with the miso, and the black paper cherry topped with corn flakes... Its funny that the only thing that I liked was a topping: the corn flakes. Bottom line: none of there flavors impressed me to wanna come back...

I got there pretty late (close to closing), but they were more than happy to accommodate for my late night craving. The service was great, the entire staff were friendly and smiles all around. This was a really cool place to hangout, although some of the chairs and tables were a bit wobbly. Nice, clean bathroom, self served water in cone cups, makes perfect sense in an ice cream shop! They have a lot of flavors to choose from and daily specials too. I would definitely go back and try more of their options.

The ice cream was ok...I would have rather spent my money at Ample Hills where I have yet to be disappointed. We had the displeasure of having a miserable girl serve us. She had an attitude and a stank face from the time we walked in. I left feeling like I inconvenienced her by going there on her shift and actually ordering ice cream. Even if the ice cream was good, I would never go back. Customer service is part of the experience and her customer service was terrible.

Tried 3 flavors, all way too sweet. And really heavy handed and fake-tasting. Like their banana pudding tastes more like candy banana flavor than actual banana pudding. The olive oil strawberry didnt seem to be mixed well; I kept getting a waves of olive oil, which was kinda gross. Gave it two stars for its restroom and its proximity to the boardwalk. Yuck, I still have the flavor of olive oil in my mouth as I write this...
