I came here with my date after we spent two hours walking around in the freezing cold looking for somewhere to have lunch. We figured we would stop here to check the GPS and have some hot chocolate to warm our spirit and bodies up. The hot chocolate was delicious but they didnt have whipped cream! But the barista was nice enough to give me loads of marshmallows instead to make up for it. The hot chocolate wasnt very sweet but it was tasty. We also got a chocolate chip cookie and a brownie. The brownie was a bit dry but the crispy chocolate chip cookie was delicious. I would have licked the plate clean if I wasnt on a date. The shop itself is very small with limited seating [they do have a bathroom though!]; but the seats are sort of cool. They are built into the wall but they dont offer back support. On a side note, be sure to bring cash as they dont accept cards and the menu is on a chalkboard to the left of you when you come in.

I went in for a coffee, because I have passed the place a few times and had high hopes. Firstly let me say that was the most delish danish I have had in a while, but the iced coffee I had was incredibly sour, no amount of milk or sugar could mask it, and so I told the gentlemen there and asked for a drip coffee instead, but even that was sour, and also I have never had coffee that was orange, maybe a tint of orange, but this with half and half was actually orange. A waste of money, sadly. I wouldnt recommend someone go in for a nice cup of joe, stick to the bodegas or head to starbucks. Me ill just stick to my bustelo and french press at home.

Great coffee, delicious pastries/bagels, Van Leeuwen ice cream, and great customer service. The bathroom is clean, the WiFi works well, and the seating is creative for a rather small space. Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful and they have good taste in music.

These guys got it right. While they are not by any means the MOB of the JaVa. They make some amazing drinks and their pastry is really good as well. Not your average StarMoney or DinkyDonuts but a REAL deal!

Smart, funny baristas make this a fun neighborhood spot to hang out. Great coffee is a given. The pastries and snacks are also tops. Get the cold brew instead of iced coffee if you want to get extra wired.
