Read mixed reviews but decided to come give it a try since it is closer than going to Astoria.. I gave this place a 4 because it was mostly good and for a new place, my parents liked it. We had a party of 5 and most of us would give it a 3-4 star. First off, heres our thoughts on the dishes we tried- Matcha (?) cookies - these came free as soon as we sat down. They were pretty good! I would definitely consider buying a box just as a snack. Shouyu Tofu appetizer - my boyfriend is a big tofu fan and he really liked it. It was a cold dish which we didnt expect but nonetheless good. Takoyaki - ehh it was not wonderful and I have had better in Astoria but it wasnt terribly bad or anything. Just could be better and possibly have more squid. Tonkotsu Ramen - I ordered this and it had lots of flavor. The noodles werent anything special but the soup was pretty good and full of flavor. Toppings were nothing too special though. Tonkotsu Miso ramen - boyfriend ordered this and got the super-sized option. The bowl was big but it did not have much flavor until you got to the bottom half of the soup. When I first tasted the soup it was bland and watered down but once he got to the bottom he told me to try it, and it was very very flavorful. I recommend mixing the soup and try the soup at the bottom. I think this was the Tonkotsu that most reviews are talking about the "bland flavor" so if you order, I recommend the Tonkotsu ramen and NOT the Tonkotsu MISO ramen. Spicy Miso ramen (forgot the official menu name) - lots of flavor! My mom and sis liked it. I thought it was good but the spices definitely went to your nose lol as with the other two above, the noodles itself could be better... but the soup was really good. Ribeye steak- my dad ordered this and it was definitely a hit with all of us. It was cooked just right and full of flavor! So good that we ordered a second order of since my mom didnt order and we all shared the 4 entrees. This does not come with rice so we ordered a side of rice and my parents really liked the rice... I think it was buckwheat rice? Plus, they gave us a Miso soup with it =) Now as for service... I called ahead to make a reservation just in case since it was a Sunday night. The guy who took my reservation was nice and repeated my answers to make sure it was correct. When we got there, there were maybe 5 tables with 2-4 people each so it wasnt that packed. We are greeted immediately and given menus and were asked if we wanted tea or water. Our waiter was nice and friendly - when he heard us speak Cantonese, he replied in Cantonese. The other woman waitress was friendly as well and came back to refill our teas a few times. There was once or twice where we were looking for someone to attend to us and saw all the waiters busy or staying towards the front but I think they are just a bit understaffed also, the chef came out to give us our food a few times but when we asked for rice, he said he did not speak English and waved for a waitress to help us. They were all nice and courteous though. One other thing, parking was a little tough but we parked around the block in the residential area. Overall a 4... Even a 4.5 maybe. I would definitely come back to try other stuff on the menu. I do have to say though, ramen noodles itself in Astoria is definitely better and seem more authentic.. But for less travel, good ambiance and decent snacks and a decent meal, this place is pretty good.

The Mill is my usual weekend indulgence - an Earl Grey for me (iced in the summer), and a latte or a red eye for my husband. The staff is always super friendly, and this is the only place I know of where they dont use excessively hot water and burn the crap out of the tea leaves. I cant really speak for the coffee (though hubby loves it), but the tea is always wonderful and never bitter. The price is comparable to the large chain-that-must-not-be-named, but the quality is infinitely better. The only reason Im giving 4 stars is that the baked goods are almost always as dry as sawdust - they sound interesting but Im always disappointed. But the drinks and the service keep this spot in my regular rotation.

Its a shame. We have been ordering from these guys for the past week. This morning ruined it all. No idea who "Eduardo" is, but he hung up on me twice. The third time he answered he was disgustingly rude and brushed off the fact that he hung up on me two times prior. Guys. You have plenty of competition in the neighborhood... terrible customer service isnt going to help.

Coffee was solid, but not at the top of my list. Food selection could be larger and/or offer more variety, but what Ive had Ive enjoyed. Out of the way spot on weekends combined with limited staff results in long waits for impatient NYers... like myself.

When in the US (even in NYC) finding good coffee is not to be taken for granted. This little cafe exceeded my expectations. They also seemed to have nice sandwiches and cakes but I did not try any.

Good quality coffee, a bit high on the price side, and service can be a bit slow sometimes. The space is cool looking, and the baked goods are solid. They have a nice bathroom and seating area.

So far, all I have had is the light roast drip. It was awesome and the best drip coffee I have had in a long time. Bonus, they have heavy cream available if you are in to that.

The coffee is decently priced for a coffee shop but its good coffee. I may be tainted by prices in the city but its definitely comparable to 4 coffees in the city!

Service is really nice. The sitting area is relaxing and nicely decorated albeit limited in size. Coffee is good and small bites are really good. Prices are ok.
