Went here trusting the reviews......THAT was a mistake. Girlfriend and I went here for her birthday. She ordered the shrimp quesadilla. It had 4 shrimp in it, and an over abundance of peppercorn, making it a chore for her to enjoy. I ordered the mahi mahi fish tacos. I started on the first one, and noticed right away it was over cooked. Figured Id keep the drama low, and suffer thru them. But, when I got to the second one, it was fo over poked, it had the texture of dried out chicken. I alerted the waitress to the problem, but all she did was pick up my plate and apologize. I told her if she couldnt remove it from the bill, I would need to see the manager. She left, and came back with the bill... which was full out pricing. I got up to go seek out the manager. Asked at the check in point, and got pointed to someone who they claimed was the manager. He was simply the wait staff coordinator. He claimed that because I had tried NOT to be whiney, and had eaten the first of three tacos, that that was his "get out free card".... HIS words exactly. I was livid, and began to read him the riot act about what his priorities should be, and how I might expect this from Captain Ds or something, if they were $5 tacos. Apparently, he couldnt handle it, and I guess I was giving them too much bad publicity. I got the attention of the REAL manager. He too tried to snow me. I told him this was totally unacceptable, and if he expected me to pay anything, he had best go back in the kitchen, himself, and cook me an order to go. Ended up getting some of the bill comped, and an offer for free drinks next visit. Sorry fella, WONT BE A NEXT TIME. And none of my friends will be patronizing them either, as they all know Im a foodie, and trust my opinion. EBC, you need to train your wait staff how to properly respond to complaints. Your managers the importance of customer service, and more overly, your kitchen crew how to cook. Id like to put in my -5 stars for this place.

After three visits, we are done for the season. Our first visit, shortly after they opened, was our best. The food was decent, the service was fast and friendly, and the place was great. After that it all went downhill. Our last visit had us seated right next to a door, and paired with a server who absolutely did not like children. She had no idea what was going on and was visibly annoyed when we asked the simplest of questions or requests. She served people that came in after us constantly while ignoring our table. Our drink order eventually came and it was wrong. The food order was wrong. The food was cold when we got it. The milkshake one of us got was literally just a glass of milk with a scoop of ice cream in it - like the blender was broken - and there was a severe lack of caring. Id had an issue one other time before this, and the manager was completely unapproachable in the restaurant both times. I had written an email earlier in the season with some questions and was directed by the Ellicottville location to the local management - who promptly ignored my emails. I really hope they get it together by next season. I was really looking forward to this place. The area certainly needs it.

Was there last night. Wasnt sure if I should seat myself. No one offered to seat me so I did. I seen waitresses, but no one approached my table. After some time I went to the bar, got myself and my date drinks, and sat back down. Spoiled juice was used in my drink, I waited for a waitress to tell. After some time I went back to the bar and got it replaced, then sat back down. No waitress approached. After some time I went to the door, found a menu stand and grabbed a menu. Sat down, no waitress approached. We drank our drink and left. The level of non-service was very weird.

Absolutely beautiful building. The designers of this place have wonderful taste. Our waitress was extremely friendly and our food was delicious. It was very busy but they still seated us promptly and food and drinks were brought very quickly. I was extremely surprised to see bad reviews, our experience was fantastic. Im sure the people who wrote these poor reviews are just the kind of people who are impossible to please and would complain no matter what.

5 stars for how they handled fl96inches for being an a-hole. Cant wait to go to a place that treats snoody people properly. Your review makes you sound like a miserable person who no one enjoys being around. You didnt deserve special treatment. Be a normal person, dont finish your food and dont go back. You should have had nothing comped and should have that stick removed from from your bum.

Incompetent manager has little to say when they deliver two medium rare stakes well done, 0 pink. I can see making an error but to take a flight of beer off the tab after delivering two bad $26 dinners is simply unacceptable. Other than the incompetent manager, the rest of the food, beer and service was good.

Our waitress was an avitar. Rote conversation with no connection to us. The mahi mahi fish tacos: the fish was so awful I can barely describe-old, no taste, dry etc. Would have sent back but didnt want to offend person buying my dinner. You got away with it last night but if I ever go back you wont.

We waited for a server to come for 15 minutes to get our drink order. This was on a Thursday at 1pm and the place was pretty quiet. We ended up moving into the bar and the bartender was so nice and took our order immediately. The truffle tater tots are worth the visit and the beer is delicious.

Enjoyed sitting on the side patio for a drink with a view of the water and Main street. Inside and front deck look real nice. Didnt get any food so cant speak to that. Watch out for Rocco! (Neighborhood dog who is super chill and may come up to you to see if you have a bite to spare :)

Waitress got the wrong drink, forgot a milkshake, and gave us the wrong check. I know sometimes you will get a bad server, but the food was also bad. We requested medium rare and it was almost over cooked. I cant comment on the beer, but the food was bad.

We were kicked out of our table on the deck because someone else wanted an outside table even though there were @20 empty tables on the inside. Table of 6 and had just ordered after dinner cocktails. Very unhappy, have NEVER had this happen before.

Not the place to go if you are a picky eater. Food and appetizers were pretty over the top for no reason. Our server got the bill wrong a few times and charged someone else for the drinks. Not the worst pace but not the best either.

Excellent service today by Carter. Food was good, beer was tasty. Prices are a bit above average but EBC caters to a seasonal crowd at two of the three locations so it is to be expected. Overall great experience.

We (4 people) just left there without eating. We were told we could not sit on the patio facing the water because we were only planning on having appetizers. Never go back there, too snobbish for our taste.
