Went here for the first time after being curious about the small looking place. It looks very non discrete from outside sitting next to a nursery. Parking does not seem like it could fit more than 7 customers however there is more parking in the rear. Careful coming during peak hours, spots fill up quick. There are only about 20. The place is pretty big inside and has a sushi bar, a small restaurant seating area, and a separate hibachi area. We came for hibachi during the weekday dinner time and it was nearly empty in hibachi, though the rest of the place was at capacity. Service here is very fast and attentive. The hibachi was nothing special here and average at best though the chef did tend to be a little bit more fun than most. For hibachi I am used to getting rice and pasta however here it is one or the other. Overall price is a little higher for what you get however given the area it makes sense. Will come back likely and try that restaurant. I give it a 3.5/5

I love this place. It looks small and nondescript in the outside. Its very pretty inside with full hibachi and sushi bar. Something for everyone here. Sitting on the sushi side you can still order hibachi also. Ive been here tons of times and simply ordered sushi because the house rolls are great here, but the hibachi portions are huge and look great. I say about thirty dollars a person but I can eat fifty worth of sushi if I put my mind to it. Most times Im less than thirty. Hibachi is less expensive also. Please give this place a try you will not regret it. Service I rated slightly down. This is only because Ive sat at a table waiting for a check and gone semi forgotten. Most of the time its no problem but maybe once out of five visits I feel like Ive fallen through the cracks. Love this place and all the help here though!

Hunterdon has few Chinese restaurants and the ones Ive tried in the past are not terribly good. Yi En is the exception. Yi En has a mix of Chinese food and Japanese Sushi. Like any restaurant some of the dishes are good and some other dishes are very good. Perhaps my favorite dish is the basil beef. Also the scallion pancakes are addictive as well. Some places deep fry them (yuck) but not this place. Very tasty. The Sushi is pretty good too and its always been fresh when I tried it. Ive not found a better place in the county to get Sushi. The service is also very good and very friendly. Ive never had any problems with them. If you go to this place on the weekend prepare to wait a good deal of time because they get real busy. Thats the best time to get take out.

Went in for an early lunch for the first time. Walked in at 1140 she asked me if I was ordering from the lunch special and said yes and that I would have the Shrimp and lobster sauce except with Brown rice. She brought me a small regular salad with thousand island dressing that she chose and then the main meal which was pretty good. Final bill $19. When I asked why so expensive she said " we dont have S&LS on lunch special menu" I said well thats not the only thing you wont have for lunch because you can get me once but not twice. What a shame, their loss.

Made reservations for 6:00 for 5 people. Arrived 5 minutes early with two hungry children looking forward to hibachi. We were told, despite having reservations, we would have to wait 30 minutes. After waiting 35 minutes, we were told wed have to wait at least another 30 minutes. When we asked for an explanation, we were rudely told they couldnt give us an exact time. Two very disappointed kids left the restaurant.
