My family and I have been to Martinos plenty of times over the years (birthdays, anniversaries, even our wedding reception) because the food is awesome and service was great. Last night when my Mother in law and spouse decided to go out to dinner, choosing Martinos was a no brainer. Unfortunately our experience yesterday was THE WORST and I dont know that we will ever go back to this establishment. We were sat at a table at approximately 6:25 p.m. and our waitress didnt come to our table until 6:34 p.m. to take our order (Yes, I know the exact time we ordered). I asked the waitress to bring my 1 1/2 year old daughters food out as soon as possible because lets face it, small children dont have a good attention span and lack patience. The waitress said "no problem." My daughters food came out really quick which was great (although it was just a cheeseburger, nothing that should take long anyway). Our waitress came to our table at 7:10 p.m. (NOW Im purposely keeping track of the time) to tell us that it will be a few more minutes. When we asked if there was a problem and if it was going to be much longer then we needed to just take our meals to go, the waitress got snippy and said "I told you its coming right now." We did not get our meals until 7:15 p.m! Waiting 45 minutes for food is RIDICULOUS. I could understand if the restaurant was full of people or if there was a huge party, but it wasnt. We were one of five tables. I ordered a panzerotti which came to me all soggy like it had been made and then sat while the other two meals were made. I wouldve asked for it to be made again, but I didnt want to wait another 45 minutes. By that time, were hungry, my daughter is done eating, bored and now fussing. I reluctantly take a few bites of my meal and then take her outside so not to disrupt everyone else. I came back awhile after to bring my wallet in for my spouse to pay the bill and my mother in law informs me that they asked for take out containers and the bill 10 minutes beforehand. I go back outside wait another 10 minutes, go back inside to check and then we had boxes but no bill. We did not finally leave until 7:50 p.m. We received HORRIBLE service from this place which is sad and very disappointing because it used to be our favorite. After our visit last night, it might be our last.

The food is fine (the only reason its not one star) but the service is terrible! Too be clear, they do have some very good, very hard working wait staff, but this is probably one of the worst managed restaurants Ive ever been to. First, for example, on our last visit, we were sitting on the small side, to the right, with 5 or 6 tables. Rather than have one or two staff working those tables, they literally had a different staff working each table while also working tables on the other side. Thus, more running around and more tables getting ignored. And second, while I see our poor waitress running around, I literally never saw her stand idle the whole time we were there, meanwhile there are 5 or so people that basically were standing around, looking like they had nothing to do the entire time we were there. An even half decent manager would either put them to work on tables or get rid of them and get some people who could. The last visit, it was a terrible waitress, literally comes to our table to take our order, once again to give us our food and the bill, never comes again to check on us or refill glasses, in an almost empty restaurant, does the same to the table right next to us. Im standing in line behind them when they pay, they apparently leave her the really low tip she earned, and I have to stand there waiting to pay while she goes on a loud tirade behind the counter about the ridiculous tip they gave her. As I say decent food, but if management doesnt wake up, Ill cross my fingers that they go out of business, that is what their abilities deserve.

Great dining experience. Food was excellent and plentiful. Some places will give you large portions of mediocre food, but thats not the case here. I brought my mom here and split a risotto with seafood (I cant remember the name). We both had more than I expected. We finished with a tiramisu that was fantastic, though not made on the premises. Ive had their chicken parmigiana a few times as well and its about the best Ive had. The restaurant is a cozy little building that used to be a convenience store. Not as stuffy as a more formal restaurant, hence the name Trattoria. Surprisingly quiet for this type of place. Not a dressy atmosphere. They dont serve alcohol so youll need to bring your own wine or beer. Thats a plus in my book, but I wish I knew that before I came. And the staff just couldnt have been nicer. Very friendly and very quick to refill drinks or clean up a spill. But not too in your face or aggressive with everything okays. They leave you alone and show up only when they can see you need something. Easy to recommend.

This establishment is amazing. First off there is like 20 pizza places in Vineland.. Ive tried them all and Pizza Pizzazz has been my go to favorite. BUT to me this is a restaurant and not a pizza place, its above it. 3rd or so time eating their food was a lunch with my wife, sit in. Both got pasta/chicken meals, ENDLESS garlic knots, an appetizer, 2 drinks, 2 soups (mine was french onion). Was 30$ AND we had such huge portions we literally had it again for dinner. Now we order take out from them probably twice a month. I will NEVER eat italian entrees from a pizza place anymore, over and over again ive been disappointed- chicken parm, lasagna, chick alfredo.. We thought we couldnt get these foods in this area done right. Martinos has changed our opinion on that! Being honest, the service can lack from time to time, but thats very much tolerable for food this affordable, authentic, and delicious.

Have been there quite a few times, once in the restaurant and for pickup. Food is good. Had a $62 order, picked it up and drove about 5 miles home. When I got home, part of my order was missing. I called and explained to the young lady that I have to drive 10 miles to get back-and-forth to the place. She identified what they hadnt given me. (They even had my number and didnt call me.) When I got there, she just handed me the box of pizza that was missing and she said sorry. I asked to speak to the manager, and she told a guy about it who was waiting on tables. He came up to me, identifying himself as the manager, and I explained to him what happened and that I had to drive about an extra 10 miles. I asked if he had some sort of "service recovery" such as a coupon, etc. He said "No, sorry we dont do that." I told him I wouldnt be back.
