This is the best restaurant in Warren County. Its one of the best restaurants in either Warren, Monroe, Sussex or Morris counties (all adjacent to Warren). The food is top notch. The wait staff is top notch. The facility is top notch. Since I last wrote an update on Ellias, Ive probably visited 20 times. The reason I keep going more and more and more is simple: its because other restaurants have become a waste of my time. At this point, when I do venture forth and sample the surrounding cuisine, I typically come away bitterly disappointed. Occasionally, Im somewhat satisfied. Either way, Ellias always, without fail, wouldve been a better choice. Elias Lahoud, the chef/owner, is an artful master of his craft. His ability to create flavor combinations that you probably never dreamed of - and wont soon forget - is virtually limitless. I will try food here that I normally avoid, and every time, Im blown away. I wake up the next morning thinking about it. The amount of care and thoughtfulness put into the food is truly astounding. Elias wife Rola, who runs the front (and is equally charming), ensures that the service (dedicated, passionate wait staff) and decor match whats coming out of the kitchen. Their concern for their customers enjoyment, and ability to anticipate what you want or need before you do is truly an exceptional ability - and unmatched at any restaurant in the area. If you live in any of the adjacent counties, and want to experience the best, this is the only place that can deliver in every facet of the dining experience. Trust me, Ive tried everything else multiple times. Maybe theres something comparable within over 40-50 miles. Thats a big maybe, and personally, I wouldnt bet on it.

ELLIAS.. Sorry but spend your money elsewhere! Its was a surprise date night from my husband. Upon several recommendations, my husband booked table #10 7pm reservation. Good news is the table was there and so was our reservation. After 10 min. someone did great us..(NO WINE OR BAR LIST) so we ordered a crown royal and a absolute/club. SHe returned to only tell us they did not have it. We requested a wine list and it did come. however nothing looked great so we asked her what drinks they did have.. so she ended up bringing a vodka and well the crown royal she told us they did not have??? @745 some guy placed a basket of a dried up 4 inch piece of bread.. it made me laugh. (Why bother?) 800pm we were looking for water/ another drink. My husband had to go to the bar to get it. No one was there! So he hunted down our waitress. Some wine came @810pm and our app... it was their shrimp cream sause special.. I gave it a 5 out of 10.. still not sure who brought it over. Maybe the chef? but no one from the front of the house. Salad came to our table at 820pm.. NOTHING to talk about. It was a side plate. We saw our entree at 850pm!!!! 2 hours later!!! Same cream sause was on the monkfish as the app. we ordered. Whn you turned the monkfish over it was burned on the other side. My chicken dish had no flavor. It was moist however it to was burnt and the only flavor you could get is if you covered the chicken with the cooked fruit. We didnt stay for anthing else. I do not mind the time if it is fine dining. IT IS NOT! We would not go back. So many other restaurants have much better food for the price!

Ellias may very well be the Best Restaurant I have been to in years. After hearing many excellent reviews from friends and family members, I decided to try Ellias for the first time, taking my fiancee for her birthday. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing. I hate restaurants with excessive noise and the feeling of being rushed. At Ellias, there is none of that. When we got to our table, the server was very quick to greet us. He presented us with the wine list and took our drink orders. I had a Kettle One on the rocks, my fiancee, a cosmopolitan. While waiting for our drinks, we perused the menu. EVERYTHING SOUNDED DELICIOUS. We started with the baby lobster with pineapple salsa, as well and the tomato and mozzarella dish. Both were amazing. You can immediately tell the mozzarella was not store bought, this was made fresh in house. For our entrees, my fiancee had the filet mignon, and I, (while always hesitant to get it at a restaurant) opted for the rack of lamb. I have never had lamb seasoned and cooked so perfectly, and the filet looked amazing. Our server was attentive to our needs, but also was not pestering. He was also very knowledgable of the menu. I am so glad I was told about this restaurant, I will be sure to spread the word and recommend it to everyone I know. I know I will be back again soon.

I was looking for a place that is half way between my cousin and I. I was hoping something a little better then a diner. Well I got a lot more then I expected. The food was exceptional. We had their mussels which came in a red sauce for an appetizer. It was a nice sized portion and the sauce had so much flavor that you just wanted to dip your bread in. We followed up with a Ribeye for two. It came with two sides, we took mashed potatoes, I asked to add garlic which was no problem, and Brussels sprouts. The steak came out with mushrooms and I think spinach on top, It came out exactly right and it was very flavorful. We also had a nice cabernet which matched up with our meal perfectly. All in all, the service was very good and the price was very reasonable. A true value. I will find a reason to make it out there again.

Excellent service and unforgettable food. I am a frequent patron of Ellias, and I am continually impressed with the consistency; every meal is fantastic every time. Ive had almost everything on the menu--although the menu is evolving and changing with the seasons--and its ALL great. The ingredients are of the finest quality and the food is artfully prepared. The passion for excellence among the entire staff is evident in every aspect of the restaurant. Im having trouble verbalizing the exact feeling, but they make me feel like theyre happy to see me back. Even before I became a regular, I felt like one.

We had an enjoyable evening at Ellias, the staff was warm and attentive, and made us feel welcomed. I had the brie appetizer which was very good, and the evenings special, crab cakes and prawns with a smokey broccoli rabe, which was amazing. My dining partner ordered the calamari appetizer, followed with the steak with truffle sauce (not quite the right description). I didnt hear from him again until it was all gone. Although we were celebrating and went for the more extravagant fare, the menu caters to multiple price points and Im sure everything is given the same great attention to detail.

I have been going here with my parents and husband for a few years. It is the best food, service, and atmosphere around. Actually no restaurant around Warren County or Monroe County, PA has anything better. Every time we go to Ellias we are never disappointed. Ellias, the chef and owner, is very accommodating so if you need something adjusted in a dish, just ask. The strip steak is the BEST! The shrimp are huge, the chicken dinner is delicious, the Pork is thick and cooked perfectly, and the Bolognese sauce is soo good! Everything on the menu is delish!
