Just down the hill behind this place, and all over this area, there are what we call "soft spots" that allow a person to look and even travel back and forward in time. All you need to do is climb the right tree to the right height and Blamo. The trees leading to soft spots are marked with a half sawed off branch. If you get close to one of them, organized criminals will appear and try to stop you from going up. So if you ever are about to climb a tree in NJ, and someone comes out of nowhere to try and stop you, kick his but and climb that tree all the way to the top and see what you see. Just because someone can teleport, does not make them all powerful. They are still mindless chimps when they appear wherever they jump to. Oh yea, and the food at this place sucks pretty bad too. They are sex slavers. They drug kids and prostitute them.. Its an epidemic in Sayreville. Its organized crime out of control with time travel and teleporting abilities. Now you know why our world sucks so bad. Our time travelers are morons.

The waiter that we had was just horrible. He almost seemed that we were a bother. We were a party of six. He basically slapped in the face with the menus, we had to constantly ask him for water and drinks for the table. We had to return one of the plates twice for being under cooked. My dish was the seafood Costa Verde which called for Clams, Scalops, Calamari, and sausage but there was no sausage. Another dish was the seafood paella and the lobster was all shells and no meat. Im pretty sure our waiter didnt even know we returned the plate because it was the bus boy that helped us out the 2 times. Our waiter however, was very attentive to the other tables he was covering that night. The bar staff on the other hand was very attentive. One of the people in our party complained to the owner and all she did was offer a $15 gift card on a bill of $223 for 6 people. Wont be going back.

On 1-16-2016, I ordered the Paella Marinara, which is rice, clams, mussels, tiny shrimp and LOBSTER. The meat in the lobster shell was the size of the first joint of my thumb. Lots of shell, but no lobster. When the check came, I was asked,"how was everything"? When I told the bearer of the check, to tell the CHEF, he never put the Lobster in my Paella, the waiter ran over to the table. I told him the same thing. Very apologetic, he said let me take the rice and Ill be right back. Yes, he came back, and opened the container. I was pleased. But tonight when I went to eat the leftovers, I couldnt believe, there was no edible LOBSTER in the shells. Yes only shells. I will NEVER go to COSTA VERDE again. The Paella was $23.95. Thats one heck of expensive rice. But to think, that they did that is amazing to me

the food here is great and the sangria the best. Its not on the menu but the "shrimp with heads" or prawns are amazing I was first introduced to the place about ten years ago and its quite a hike from my house but I will drive the hour and wait a half hour or hour to be seated and not think twice. the mariscada costa verde style is phenomenal, and I havent been able to find any thing close to this dish anywhere including the iron-bound district. Couldnt personally comment on the anything other dishes there because ten years ago I was turned on to this place and I always order a pitcher of red sangria, a pitcher of white, "shrimp with heads" and mariscada costa verde style. I have personally brought twenty different people and of them has ever had a problem. Now Ive gotta go

We held our second marriage ceremony and celebration at Costa Verde Restaurant and give them a 5-star rating. The management and staff could not have been more helpful, cooperative and attentive to details. Many of our guests commended on the service staff on how accommodating they were to the wedding guests. They allowed us to make the reception very personal by adding all our own special touches to this event. We did family style meals and the food was excellent and never stopped flowing. We highly recommend this restaurant and assure you that you will not be disappointed.

Usually the service is fantastic but as of late, when i go, i get terrible service. Specifically from the bar! ! I had this one female bartender who was a small/petite girl (dont know her name) and acted like she knew everything. When i asked for anything barely got it bc she was too busy complaining and flirting with other coworkers;and if i did get anything i got an attitude. I dont know who is hiring these ppl. Although i must say, the bartender John is an upstanding guy. If youre gonna come here steer clear of the bar if you see a small girl working. Really nasty that one.

Usually an excellent value, our favorite place. The prime rib is always tender and done to perfection,except for last night. We ordered the prime rib med rare, came out well done but the problem was it was very tough and difficult to eat. Didn;t enjoy it at all. Disappointed, I was so hungry or I would have sent it back. Fix this guys and it wouldnt hurt to crank the heat up a bit, no one wants to shiver when theyre eating especially on the coldest day of the year. Probably would think twice about returning.

This Saturday I did a 60th birthday dinner for my husband with 20 of our family members. Although there was another event at the same time, our service was still excellent and the food was great. No one left hungry with the abundance of food which was served. As far as the bad reviews from several years ago, they must have changed the cook or took the advise of the bad reviews to improve their service, because everything was excellent. I recommend this venue for any event or just for dinner.

This was one of my favorite places to eat, however, tonight they brought our food out on dirty salad plates and dirty wine glasses !!! It was DISGUSTING !!! Seriously how long does it take to ensure dishes are properly cleaned ? They wouldnt even offer us a discounted price, I wasted my money on food I refused to eat because of the dirty dishes they were in and still had to buy dinner elsewhere !!! You guys lost a loyal customer tonight & I recommend that NO ONE eats here, ever !!!

We had a group of 12. The appetizers were great. Garlic shrimp, calamari, antipasto with sausage and olives. Then we got a simple but fresh nicely dressed salad. Everyone seemed happy with their main course except one which was mine. Dont order the garlic chicken. There was a too thick corn starch gravy that tasted like it was flavored with bullion cube and some Worchester sauce. I didnt taste garlic. I give it 5 yucks.

The food sucked! Appetizer was horrible, the soup was terrible and the salad had equal parts of lettuce and onion. Of the three entrees we ordered The fried fish was disgusting and sent back, the chicken was unrecognizable as chicken and the Marescada was cooked with stinking, smelling bad lobster. It made me sick until the next day. Avoid this restaurant at any and all costs. The worst meal ever.
