I really dislike leaving bad reviews however in this case I have no choice. Without going into too much detail what I will say is that the service was horrible from our waitress and the manager. The waitress actually brought the wrong dinners to our table and placed the plates down. When we told her of her mistake she left the plates on our table until she could figure out where they belonged and then took them to the table next to us? In other words the plates sat on our table for over a minute after we told her the issue. When our food did arrive my order was lamb when I ordered Veal and the lamb wasnt even cooked properly. on and on and on. When we approached the manager he said he would have to call the owner, TOMORROW, to try and help us. Some manager! The ambience was nice in the bar and restaurant just the rest of program was lacking. Good luck

Visited last week, seated in the Ice house, room was chilly, wood stove not fully attended to. The food was superior, but the service by a young redheaded waiter was the absolute pits. Terrible shortcoming by the management, hiring youthful waiters and failing to fully train them. The poor service detracted so much from the experience that it is unlikely that I would return. Among the short coming: failed to mention specials,replenish rolls and dipping oil, wasnt conversant with entree details, had to be summoned to refill water glasses. the list goes on - ruined what should have been a wonderful Holiday occasion. Real shame food and general ambiance commendable. Other suggestion - chairs may look charming theyre extremely uncomfortable.

We love The Sergeantsville Inn because we always feel as though were home. The service is the Best ever! We are always greeted warmly and when we dine in the Tavern, you know that you can speak with anyone else there and probably become fast friends. The food is delicious and eclectic. Weve been going for years. We were devastated when the fire destroyed the interior, but we we equally delighted when it was restored and the employees returned. #Youwontbedisappointed .

Dinner was great! We started with the goat cheese and pheasant spring rolls. We each had the hangar steak, short ribs and chicken. Everything was amazing! For desert we had espresso martinis and they were the perfect blend of bitter from the coffee and sweet. The desserts left a little to be desired, so I suggest purchasing an apple pie from McDonalds drive thru instead, it sure beats theirs. Overall I would come back to try other items on the menu.

The Sergeantsville Inin is one of the best restaurants in New Jersey and that reputation is duly earned. Everything about the place is wonderful. The food, the service, the atmosphere, the setting. The dining room offers great food at a price that is suited to the nature of the experience. One can also enjoy a meal in the bar if you wish to spend a little less money. You wont be disappointed here.

Dinner was absolutely phenomenal, as always. The food is always unbelievably delicious. The service, although very polite and courteous, they must have asked us a million times if they could clear our table when we were clearly still picking. Im sure they were just being very attentive, but it made us feel like they wanted us out, and it was only 6pm on a Sunday.

food was very good but timing of service abysmal. It took 1 hour 10 minutes to get appetizers and then an additional 50 minutes for entrees. Dessert arrived 15 minutes after coffee. the place is nicely restored however either they took too many reservations for this evening or the kitchen is out of its league.

Great history in the building. Comfortable environment and great food. Everything made fresh daily. Tiramisu is a family recipe that is really special. Crab mac and cheese was decadent. Tomato bisque is a must buy, they are known for it.

Beautiful place, food can be a bit too unique to the average person. Would go back though. The bar is nice, although on one occasion it was filled with douchebags. The gentleman bartender was very nice though and made up for it.

The menu was nice, the food was well-cooked (except for the raw apple pie), but the waitress was unhappy with me. Not sure if it was because I wasnt a local or because i was by myself at a 4-top. (I didnt seat myself...).

I ordered the Buffalo skirt steak for dinner with spinch and potato. My meal was great and would order again. The next time I go there I will be ordering the Kangaroo on the menu. Our server was great.
