It is, after all, JUST a diner, not a fancy high priced restaurant, but keeping that in mind, you have to try a few things out to see what they can and cannot make well. Most of their menu is, in my humble opinion, quite good. They need a little work on their Italian menu, but their sandwiches and wraps are really good. Their turkey dinner was really good last Thanksgiving also... surprisingly so. Any flaws in their menu are compensated for quite adequately with one of the best in store bakeries Ive been to in the area. The free shortbread cookies as you head out the door are great and I almost always get something from the dessert display that is placed fiendishly near the checkout cash register. Leave the tip... Take the cannoli. Hey! Its me again. I decided to give you an extra star for what I consider to be excellent service beyond just the expected restaurant protocol. I work late at night and sometimes miss the last bus home at roughly 2 in the morning. The Phily Diner is the only place open all night and they let me wait there whether I eat anything or not, until the first morning bus comes several hours later. If any of them are reading this right now, you probably know who I am, at least by sight, and all I can say is thank you for your kindness and hospitality, especially on those cold, rainy, or snowy nights when I miss those buses.

I really wanted to like the Phily Diner. What a cool looking place. Love the old style Diner look with all the rock and roll memorabilia. However, when after enough time has passed that I have forgotten about my last experience, I go in for more. This time I went with my wife and two sons ( 9 and 13). While sons orders were correct (thank God) both my wifes and mine were wrong. All we ordered were turkey club sandwiches. The waitress made no attempt to correct the problem. Not only was the food order incorrect but I feel that this place is severely overpriced. Two childrens breakfasts and two turkey clubs cost over $50. My sons cranberry juice cost $4.25 and it was non alcoholic. He said, "dad look , I could have gotten a margarita cheaper than my juice" on the way out as they were advertising drink specials. I dont mind paying a little more when the food and service are good but Im sorry to say they both suck here, and weve given them a few chances. On the way out I told the manager and he made no attempt to correct the problem. I told him I would not be coming back. He said if I chose to come back that I should ask for him and he would take of us. I told him he should have taken care of us today and that I would not be back unfortunately.

As someone who owns and runs their own food business i know how customers should be treated, first off I gave my name to wait as alyssa, some girl (host) who must be family who probably wasnt even 13 was screaming in my face LISA LISA LETS GO LISA TABLE FOR 4. So we are seated and we order breakfast, the food quality is just so terrible Im at a loss for words to describe it. This review is not based upon one visit in the last 6 months Ive continued to give this place chance after chance but I will not be back. Out waitress didnt even provide her name or say good morning she didnt smile and we were given our food and that was the last time we saw our waitress. We waited for our check for a half hour until finally some other waitress came by and asked if we needed coffee refilled, we politely said no and requested our bill, our original waitress didnt even drop off the bill, she never came back to apologize or anything. If it was possible for no stars thats what I would have rated this place. Dont bother, try the metro diner in brooklawn great food and service

Ate here recently with a few friends. Food is always great and waitresses are always friendly. We were told before by a waitress that we could only split the check up front when you pay. However when we went to the counter to pay the young lady ringing us out was extremely rude with a terrible attitude. She kept apologizing to the people behind us in line for us taking for ever. Instead of trying to split the check by what we ordered she did it by the amount our meals costed minus the tax. So at the end of everyone in our group paying our last friend had all the tax put on her bill. The staff should not treat people like theyre stupid. She even talked to an older gentleman who also worked there with disrespect. He was trying to give her advise on how to ring us out. Extremely disappointed with this place because I eat here all the time and never had issues before.

Me and my boyfriend decided to make a quick stop for dinner here. Worst choice we ever made ... we heard so much about how good the food was here but those people must have been eating somewhere else.. we walked in and were seated , our waitress never introduced herself. Our soda was FLAT ... my cheese steak was dry .. and the roll was soggy from the pickle they put on my plate along with all of the pickle juice. My boyfriend got a buffalo chicken wrap with ranch .. they must have put the whole bottle of ranch on it. The fries were cold and the soup was just a bunch of vegtables. No noodles or chicken. Lets just say we will NEVER eat there again !!! A $34 dollar meal straight into the trash. DONT EAT HERE !!!!

I usually have great food here. I love that creamed chip beef breakfast, and their French onion soup. I am obsessed with their Buffalo Busters. You need to try them. Yesterday I went and they had a special on nachos for Monday $6.99 any Nacho. I got the pulled pork nachos and I was not disappointed. They were so big, my friend and I could have been fool just on that. They were very good. However I ordered the buffalo chicken panini, and I was not very happy with it. I didnt think the chicken it was very good quality. The bread was good and the fries were great. But I wouldnt recommend that sandwich. Make sure you try the Buffalo Busters. Our server was also very lovely.

We are "regulars" here... probably come for dinner on average once a week, and for breakfast once every month or so. We love it - to us it feels like home. We have favorite waitresses, and favorite menu items, so we could go on and on. But their soups are all awesome -- favorite would be the Chicken Escarole. I personally love their Chicken Salad Wrap, and their Cheese steaks and burgers. My husbands favorite is the California Chicken Crunch sandwich. To us, this is the BEST diner in the area -- nothing else comes close in our book. Pete, the manager comes over to shake my husbands hand every time were in. Just a nice, warm place to eat. Highly recommend.
