Preps was a pretty terrible experience. First of all, the pizza was far too expensive. The prices are insane and youre probably better off just getting a frozen pizza from the grocery store. It would taste better and be much cheaper. Second of all, the pizza was really bad. We got the plain pizza and the Buffalo chicken pizza. The pizza itself was subpar and the chicken on the Buffalo chicken pizza was absolutely terrible. It didnt taste good and was either old, not cooked enough, or just bad quality chicken. We also found a hair that didnt belong to anyone at the table on the plain pizza. We asked for the manager and she took a while to show up because instead of actually managing the place she was off riding a ride with her granddaughter. When she showed up she was both apologetic and defensive, but far more defensive. She just kept telling us the whole spiel about how people come in all the time saying they love the place, better than manco and mancos, fresh ingredients, girls wear hair in buns while guys wear hats, etc. As she was saying this though we could all see right in front of us that there was a guy flipping pizza dough that didnt have a hat on. Even then hats and braids dont prevent hair from falling out. We did get a $30 certificate and our meal was free, but I dont think we will be going back. Even discounting the bad customer service and high prices, the pizza is still pretty bad. Find somewhere better to get your pizza on the boardwalk.

The boardwalk would not be the same without Preps!! Absolutely the best pizza ever!! My family and I have been coming on vacation for the last 23 yrs to ocnj and Preps is ALWAYS our first nights dinner :) we LOVE it!! Even before it was renovated it was awesome. We use to love playing the jukebox as kids and teens. The same waitress has been there for along time and we love seeing her each year. We go here for dinner more then once and its always pizza. We also make about 3 trips in for ice cream after our nightly shopping and rides. Theyve got the best waffles for waffles and ice cream. Love Preps!! Keep up the awesome food and staff!!

I have been going to Preps on and off for about 30 years. (as it was closed, and i lived in other parts of the country and, Iraq. I was in the US Army 1st Cavalry Division out of Ft Hood, TX. The pizza has remained tasty, crispy, consistent in taste, as far as I remember. I like the modern look and expanded menu. Walk up to the window, order a slice, and enjoy. Far superior to any other pizza place on the boardwalk in OCNJ.

Great food, but AWFUL service. We waited here (me and my friend), sat ourselves, AND were not served for over an hour. They didnt come to our table, EVEN when we moved around, tapped and kept pointing to their waiters. Update: they FINALLY came when they saw we were writing this one-star review. The waiter looked over my shoulder and saw that we were giving them a one-star review, so they served us.

We stayed in OC last week. We ate dinner here twice. Fantastic pizza, wish they had fries but they allowed you to "bring" them in. I brought my young kids in almost everyday for ice cream. Staff was exceptional in dealing with them sampling the different ice creams. Once picked, the ice cream was enjoyed by all. We have found a new spot!! Very clean and bright.

My favorite place to get pizza. Typically a much lower wait time (if any) compared to Manco & Manco. I get it every time theres an opportunity when im in the area and wish they would open up other locations. Thw updated interior is also very unique (see image). Another benefit for those out of town is access to their rest room located in the back.

I had a group of twelve hungry kids And we got a table within 8 minutes. Pizza was excellent. Thin and crispy. Afterwards we all have ice cream. Very generous portions for the price and all kind of flavors. Cookie dough was our favorite.

Ridiculous. Patrick re-served us pizza from another table. When I brought it up to him, he tried to explain it away. Bad show. Its oizza. If a customer brings it up to you, act on it. To top it off, he forgot the first slice we ordered.

Fantastic pizza. Our favorite is Manco and Mancos but this is right there. The crust is slightly thicker than Mancos , but still thin (which is actually nice). Sauce and Cheese is money!! Service was great too!

Truly the BEST on the ocnj boardwalk We have been going here since we were kids! We would stop here after hitting the boards, and everyone was happy with the choice between pizza or ice cream! Preps is wonderful!

Absolutely amazing. When coming to Ocean City Nj for a year, month, week, or even just a day, you HAVE to come to Preps Pizza. Best pizza Ive ever had, and the ice cream is just as good.
