Anti Semitic Employees- Surprising to me for a place that tries to cater to the Jewish community. I walked in and asked if the sesame bagels were hot, they said yes. I ordered a sesame bagel with cream cheese. I got back into my car, opened up the bagel to eat it and the bagel was cold. I went back in to tell them about the cold bagel, and to ask for a new one. The girl who made the mistake would of made me a new bagel, but her manager was standing there and she had to ask her, the manager just shook her head and said "No your sandwich is already made". I was shocked that they refused to make me a new one. I left my bagel on the counter and walked out. One of the employees followed me out the door and said "do you want your pennies back?" in a rude and demeaning tone as he reached into his pocket to give me some change. He made me feel real uncomfortable at that point. He was mocking me and my culture. I didnt even want my money back, I just wanted to get out of there. There are plenty of other good bagel places around, I would go elsewhere. In regards to the bagels, if the bagels are cold they are terrible. If they are warm they are decent. Most of the time they are cold. So if you do decide to eat here make sure they are warm, or walk out.

I have been getting hot bagels since I was a little kid, I can remember going in with my mother before school to get my hot raisin with extra cream cheese. Years later and the same guy that gave me my bagel as a child is still there making everybodys morning into a happier one. Even after high school hot bagels were always a morning treat for me and my girlfriend, her favorite ones are the hot sesame bagels. And once they introduced baby bagels why choose only 1 when u can have em all, and at such amazing prices. Every late night always ends happier with a hot bagel, you can find me waiting by the clock for the fresh warm early morning bagels, what a great way to start the day. it is something you can only experience here in NJ at the hot bagel bakery. Everytime I am away, its the first place I visit on my way back home. In fact I think ill go for some right now.

Best bagel bakery around. They dont serve egg sandwiches here (so no bacon/porkroll egg and cheeses) but when you have one of their bagels with whipped cream cheese youll know why this place is so popular. and lets face it, if you dont like whipped cream cheese thats a "you" problem. Hot Bagel Bakery is also located in the famous "food triangle" of Brennans deli, Rook Coffee and the Bagel Bakery. Once you enter the food triangle, your perception of deli sandwiches, coffee, and bagels will be changed forever - going anywhere else will be ruined. Good Luck

God how I love bread! And these Bagels are to DIE FOR ! Never in my life have I ever eaten such a delicious bagel besides at The Hot Bagel Bakery! I mean, this place as been a pillar in our community for over 30 plus years! Thats absolutely incredible. Part of me would say that you should never eat here because It will raise the bar SO HIGH, that every bagel that you eat, which isnt from this place will now just become, sadly, mediocre.

Im been eating these bagels for over 30 years. If you want the best bagels in NJ, this is the place. No other bakery in the area still rolls the bagels by hand like these guys. All the other bakeries use machines that use oils to roll their bagel. Thats why the other bagels dont taste as good.

The bad reviewers have issues, disregard them. Theres a reason why the line goes out the door - perfect bagels. The whitefish salad is an amazing compliment with a fresh bagel at 4:30AM, especially if you had one too many the night before. So glad I live 2 mins away. Carry on, dont ever die.

I have never eaten better a bagel. Ive looked but I cannot find them. They are spectacular fresh and you can freeze them, microwave them and they are still amazing. The line can be long but it is well worth the wait. I recommend the everything bagels in particular.

The real deal,authentic bagels, hand rolled and water bathed before baking. The place is always busy and the service is great. My first stop almost every morning for a hot bagel and a terrific cup of coffee. .

Great tasting bagels. Remember CASH only. Whatever I dont use, I freeze. Of course better fresh, but they do freeze well. I try to get the really well done, brown ones, but no luck yet. Still delicious!

Delicious bagels every time. My personal favorite are the bagels that are well-done and crispy out of the oven - make sure to ask for it when ordering. The Veggie Cream Cheese here is out of sight.

Best bagels in NJ, possibly anywhere in the world. 99% of bagels out there are just bread in the shape of a bagel whereas these are perfect bagels. 5 stars for sure.
