Great pizza Update: We recently dined in and it was a good experience. We ordered the calamari appetizer which was very small amount on the plate compared to the amount of sauce(and the cost) - I think the price should be lowered for such a tiny appetizer or they can put more on the plate. The pasta fagioli was AWESOME. My kids actually took over my plate - and they usually dont like this soup. My husband ordered the Grilled Sirloin but got a rib-eye instead. I dont know why but in the end it was very delicious. he enjoyed it even though it was not the cut he expected. And I believe he would order it again. I had the chicken piccata. The sauce was fantastic. The chicken was slightly over cooked so I had to use a steak knife(I like a tender chicken breast, so this may be personal preference). The veggie accompaniment was wonderful - crisp and tasty. We were too full to order dessert. Now as far as the service... at first we didnt know who was serving our table because 4 different staff members walked up to out table - none of whom introduced themselves. My guess would be that the one in a different dress shirt was the supervisor. They were all very polite and kind. We figured out who our server was because she came to take our order. For a quiet Sunday evening - service was pretty slow. It took long waits between drinks, appetizers, and entrees. Even the check. However, they were very very nice. I would say 9 out of 10 for service because of that. Overall, we enjoyed our meals and we will return. :)

I am posting an edit to my review as they have frustrated me twice in 2 weeks. 1 time I was in there and my bill came out to 4.85 and I did not have cash on me as I usually pay by credit. They would not allow me to pay by credit card because of the 5 dollar minimum. Im 15 cents away. Then the following week the line was out the door and I ordered a couple of slices for lunch and asked to sit in the dining room. They informed me I was not allowed to sit in the dining room to eat unless I ordered in the dining room. Even though there was nobody in there. So let me get this straight: If I had been in the dining room, where I would have ordered the EXACT SAME THING then I would have been "allowed" to sit in there? But since I ordered in the other part then Im not allowed in there? Ridiculous. Pizza and garlic knots are still very good. But their lack of accomodations really rubbed me the wrong way and will not be back.

i ordered a whole wheat pasta with penne vodka sauce with grilled chicken and ended up getting my order with fried chicken cutlet called back and told them that the chicken was wrong. The owner or manager was very rude and disrespectful they service was very none professional and there customer service really sucks the moral of my review is that i order this meal for my fiance and mother in law and they where both allergic to bread crumbs the manager asks "well why cant i just eat that" and if thats the case then "dont order here anymore" i mean really is that how u treat ur customers so if u do decide to order there make sure they have ur order right or me personally i wouldnt order there anymore who knows what they do ur food. if they are rude like that i can imagine what else they are doin

We had a wonderful dinner tonight, sat outside in front soaking up Saturday night in Montclair pedestrian sights. Great arugula salad, with a lemon garlic dressing that was light and tasty. Asked if they would do veal instead of chicken parm (no problem!) and it was tremendous - light breading with melted fresh mozzarella (you can taste the difference). Wife had a pasta melange with tomatoes, eggplant, mozzarella and pesto, VG. Sauteed spinach was so good with garlic and oil that I encourage you to try it. BYOB followed by tiramisu - molto Bene. Comfortably casual. Enjoy!

I will admit that Villa is probably the best pizza around. That being said, their service is bottom of the barrel. There is no efficiency behind the counter. If they tell you 25 mins for take out, it will be 45 mins. There is not much attention paid to any line that may form. Ive gone here for a long time, but with the frustration I suffer every time I leave the restaurant, I cant take it any longer. Other pizza places dont have this problem, so whats up? Their only saving grace is the great food that is made.

Great sauce. Pizza can be too "doughy" sometimes. They have delivered orders with items missing a few times and do not seem apologetic enough. The waiters on the sit-in restaurant side are very nice. Revised review on July 31, 2017. Delivered soggy potato chips as the "potato" in the marinated grilled chicken entree then argued with me that they are out of potato so too bad for me. Ive been a customer since 1996. Taking my business to Fiamma around the corner on Bloomfield Avenue.

I love this place if I could give 10stars I would, me and my boyfriend ate in the resturant part, the food was outstanding, on top of that staff was great my waiters name was Dino he was great so kind!. On top of that any one can eat here because of the gluten free and vegetarian options, plus the bathrooms are gender friendly for anyone who would need it. Love this place and cant wait to come back!

Be careful. The pizza was great and service was great but I ordered over the phone with my credit card. When prompted, I gave my three digit code on the back. A day later, there were two fraudulent purchases ($200 total) on my account. Thank God I monitor my accounts and caught it quick. I dont see how it was anyone else and just had to write to let you guys know to pay cash when ordering out.

Villa is a great place to go for slices. Their penne pies are awesome, as are their veggie ones and their plain slices are huge. They also have really great hot subs. However, if youre looking for a plain pie, dont go to Villa. Ive never had a worse pizza in my life. It was ridiculously greasy, almost too thin to even pick up, and way over cooked. Stick to hot subs and fancy slices only.

Expensive, but very good pizza. The subs are slightly over priced and I also feel that the speciality topping pizzas are expensive given the size of the portions, but overall a good spot to take the kids after a game.

Very overrated. The pizza is descent and not nearly as good as Enzos and it is still twice as expensive. Leones is a doors down and that is much better quality for the price. Not worth it.

Simply THE best sautéed vegetables either as sides or appetizers. Fresh. Im a vegetarian in case youre wondering where Im coming from. Needless to say their pizzas and entré are succulent.
