On a scale of 1 to 5 ----------------------------- Food - 3 Ambience - 2 Service - 0 (well, on a scale of 1-5) Customer service was worst at best. a) We were initially seated in a place that somehow ended up in the aisle, and the air conditioning was hurling hurricanes right at us. Initially they said they had no other place (to seat two), but when we decided to walk away, we were accomodated in another section that was much cozier. b) After 30 minutes, we had to remind them to serve us the free appetizer (papad) c) The beer we ordered came after 40 minutes d) Unfortunately, the beer that I ordered came only in bigger bottles - and I did not want to drink that much as I had to drive. I told them to get me some brand in a normal 12-oz bottle - the waitress went back to the counter, and came back, replying that they cannot take the bottle back as it has already been opened. When I asked why was I not told that this comes only in bigger bottles, she replied "Dont tell me you dont know, sir". So much for customer service. After arguing for 2 minutes, they agreed to serve us a smaller bottle instead. e) After another period of eternal waiting, another waiter pointed out to the waitress and asked why have we not been served food yet. (This was overheard by my spouse). She told him to do the serving and added that she would not do it. f) When the final check came, there was another shocker. (i) They had charged us for both the beers (big one that the agreed to take back, and the smaller one), and (ii) They had missed taking into account an extra bread that we ordered. The nice person that I am, I pointed out both, which made the owner/manager approach us. She mentioned that she does not have the authority to not charge us for the opened bottle and that we have to pay for both the beers. She added that I can take the open bottle of beer home if I wanted. I was so #$*(ed of at this stage that I told her that I will pay for it, but I dont need any take-outs. And the smart penny-pinching-at-the-cost-of-customer-service person that she was, the extra bread was added to the final check. On a final note, the restaurants that we tend to visit repeatedly have great food matched by quality service. And then there are some like Rasoi, where the experience made us vow not to approach the entire chain (later we heard from our friend that they have Rasoi restaurants at Monmouth, Jersey City, Oak Tree Road).

Folks have appreciated the banquet. Maybe its good. I went for a normal dinner last night and it was a horrible experience. I dont think I am going back again! As others pointed out, the bathroom sucked. We got in around 915. Ordered our food within 10 mins. Food came about 50 minutes later. They were busy serving a doctor family I guess who came in 30 mins after us and their food was served within 10 mins. So, we started eating our food around 1015. We almost immediately noticed that the naan wasnt going to be enough. We called the guy and asked him for extra naan. Big Oops, the clock hit 1030 and the kitchen is closed. I asked the guy why werent we informed about the kitchen closing timing? Oh Well, he apologized and that was the end of it. Clock hits 11 PM. Oops again, we just hit the restaurants closing time. Entire halls light was turned on full power mode. What was a very dim, soft ambiance suddenly turned on to a day/night stadium. Here is the rub - they have the audacity to enforce 15% gratuity on the bill. Not going back there again. What couldve been a good food turned into a mad mood.

Went here for a Friday buffet, variety of items they had were encouraging, which dimmed of pretty fast after we started tasting the food, to Start with they had Chilly Lamb, God know how many days old that dish is, followed by a Kaju Panner Capsicum curry, I could literally tell how bad the cashews in that dish was, Pani Puri was good, keeping apart the fact that the paani was ice cold .Naans were cold & blunt, they had a very good collection of vegetarian dishes all of which invariantly had paneer in it (not a very big fan of Paneer). We were there on a company sponsored lunch ( 6 of us) & they gave us a hand written bill (with automatically added 18% gratuity & tax) without even a bill #, which will be of no help to me as I would not be able to reimburse. Finally when we gave them credit card to swipe, they came back even without a credit card bill, On being questioned about this , the answer was “you will find the amount on your bank statement”, Further went about boasting that we are in business for so many years and that they know what they are doing Seriously ! Pathetic, all around.

Worst service ever!!!! I would NEVER recommend this place to anybody. We placed a large order for a party and they messed up big time. First I had to wait an hour because the food wasnt ready. The party was an hour away and they forgot to give us our rice. We had to call them a thousand times and the manager "hung up" on me. The manage said they couldnt do anything. Then the manager said he would call me back, but he NEVER CALLED!!! We gave this place so much business, we took out food every week and their service is just terrible! Not to mention, every time we took out food they always burned it. When we went there to complain one of the waiters was really rude like he was the manager or something. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE AND THE SERVICE SUCKS....THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO RESPECT THEIR CUSTOMERS!

we had booked a banquet hall to celebrate holiday season and new year 2014. Rasoi 3 has nice variety of banquet halls. Food was awesome. I feel it cannot be better than what we had. 3 appetizer, 4 main entrée and 3 desert. It was fantastic. I also had experienced food in their Friday buffet. It was very nice. They also gave good deal on banquet hall which was far cheaper than others. I recommend this place if you are planning a party and looking for a party hall... -------- I again visited Rasoi 3 last Friday.. same experience.. excellent food quality.. reasonable price $11.50 for buffet.. no gratuity.. I always had great experience with Rasoi 3. I found Rasoi 3 food quality best among all Indian restaurant. I always go there on Friday .. never visited on Saturday/Sunday except parties..

Never going to do business with Rasoi at Monmouth Jct. I had booked a party three months in advance and paid the advance payment with the condition that the payment was not refundable if I ever decide to cancel the party. Two weeks later, after I had called my guests and asked them to save the date for me, the manager calls me saying that the date is no longer available, and I have to change my date. Obviously, she got somebody else with more guests. I am surprised that the contract only binds me but not them.Above all, the lady was extremely rude.

Amazing food amazing venue. Amazing banquet hall. But please do something about the bathroom. It was disgusting. What a mess. Rasoi food anywhere in NJ whether it being jersey city. Edison or rasoi 3 is always the best food in life. Went to India. And countless other restaurants but still have never eaten better food than rasoi. Hats off to you guys. But please do something about the bathroom. Fix it and make it presentable and I will plan my next function again at this venue for sure.
