We have lived in Ortley Beach for 20 years and have patronized both the Oven and Lavalette Pizza which I understand have common ownership. On the Memorial Day Weekend we went to Lavalette Pizza. I (Marie Pizzuti) ordered a fish dinner, Fillet of Sole. The waitress brought a bowl of bread and a full salad. The dinner itself had two substantial pieces of fish and a small side of pasta. It was great. 4th of July weekend; went to Lavalette Pizza and ordered the same fillet of sole fish dinner. The waitress served us two small salads consisting of lettuce leaves, two olives and a tiny piece of tomato.-no bread. I asked for some bread twice. Finally got some. The fish dinner was a dish of pasta, spaghetti with oil garlic and broccoli and one small piece of fish on top. It didnt even look like it was broiled. It was a pasta dish not a fish dinner a big bowl of pasta with a little fish on top. A woman named Antonette came over and explained that she doesnt put bread on the table as people waste it & order pizza. She asked if I liked the spaghetti with broccoli. I said tasted good but its not what I ordered. I ordered a fish dinner. She blamed it on the waitress and she offered no solution except saying I can bring the pasta home. They were obviously skimping over the holiday. I was planning on bringing the whole family but no way. Very disappointed. They will not be seeing me again. The waitress was very nice. Marie Pizzuti

Im going to be honest, I made this account just for this review because I have never experienced service like this. My friends and I ordered several menu items for delivery and they came pretty quickly, however the food was just terrible. The pizza was like cardboard, the chicken was hard, and the sub was dry and didnt contain what we ordered. It gets worse. We called to speak to a manager about how we were dissatisfied with our order and were very polite but the manager just stopped talking to us and hung up. It would have been nice if he maturely handled it but he didnt. We called back and the employee said the "manager stepped out for and emergency and couldnt talk to us." He proceeded to say that if we dont like it that we "should never come back." I will never go back here and I advise you to do the same.

Lavallete Pizza is the one restaurant in Ocean County that I know of that serves the exclusize and equisite Cluck U Chicken Wings. They offer all the traditional sauces that make these wings out of this world. Add on great pizza and very friendly service makes this place a WINNER!!! I cant vouch for there Italian dishes but Im sure they are fine. Only bummer is that they close at 9 during the week and 8 in the winter. Bummer. I dont get home from work till after 9 sometimes. Ive missed many of Cluck U oppurtunities because of this. Dont Delay and get there while there open.

One of the worst experiences I have had in my 25 years of dining. I ordered a chicken parm for delivery that was tough as leather and appeared to be frozen. My side salad was a few sparse greens with no dressing and the pizza was like cardboard. I called the manager to politely express my dissatisfaction and to make him aware of the unstatisfactory food he was producing for the price. He immediately hung up and upon calling back I was simply told, "To just never come back". I warn all.. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! The food is awful and the service is worse. Such a disappointment.

I called the order in over the phone. I was told it would be 25 minutes. It took about 30 but they were busy. Good estimate. I ordered a thin crust pizza with green peppers and onions and a sausage roll. The sausage roll was outstanding. The pizza turned out to be a half plain with garlic and half green pepper/onion with extra cheese. It was not what I ordered but it was outstanding. I hope the person that got my pie enjoyed it as well as I enjoyed thiers.

Lennys is good, but as far as value goes, Lavallette Pizzeria is better. The portions are huge, the subs are stuffed with meat, not just toppings. The people who work there are friendly. The winter hours are kind of off but during the summer, they are the best local pizzeria this side of New York. I highly recommend them. I have grown up here and there isnt a place I havent been to. If you are looking for a good value and they deliver, eat here.

I drove an hour to get here and it was worth the trip. The food was excellent . Menu was extensive and the portions were very generous. The owner Manny came out to introduce himself and his mom Antoinette was our server. They are such genuine and real people. If your in the area or if you are looking for great Italian please stop there you wont be disappointed.

Some of the worst food I have ever ordered. I called the manager to bring it to there attention about how poor the food is and he hung up on me so I called back and the cashier told me some crap that he cant speak on the phone and to "just dont come back ever" The food was bad, the service sucks. I wouldnt go back.

It was ok, we went for dinner. Staff was nice but service was S L O W!!!! Omg!! 35 minutes for 2 salads, once slice and pasta. Their tomato sauce was way to sweet for me. I would go back for the pizza though, thin crust. Ill also give them another chance, maybe they were just swamped.

minds. there was one bus boy who was asking his coworker if he wanted to "do a line". poor kid, so young. anyway.... the pizza sucks an the owners are how u say "jewish". we totally got skimped on cheese for r pizza. an i was like "all i taste is white bread an sauce"

Waited over an hour for pizza eat in on a Thursday at 6pm. Asked waitess to box left overs waited another 15 and had to go inside inquire about it. None of the 4 people at counter acknowledge me for another 3 mins, box was sitting on counter the whole time,
