Constructive Criticism, Pros: Nice atmosphere, convienant parking. Cons: Unattentive staff, long waits for food, cold coffee, cold meals. I was there for Fathers day weekend. The prices are a bit on the high side but not as high as some other places in the area. But thats not my complaint. First, the young teenage staff are super friendly, but super slow. We waited quite sometime for drinks and even longer for food. The business was not crowded at all. Once we got drinks, neither myself or my wife could drink the coffee. Its was served at room temperature and tasted stale. Then, the food came out. They served my wife two slices of cold and dry french toast. It was supposed to be stuffed with strawberry and marscapone cheese. There was about one or two sliced strawberries on top, and the cheese had the consistency of Elmers glue. $8.50 they asked for this. I had a western omlet with home fries and toast. The entire meal was cold. The home fries were pathetic. Think of a very small potatoe diced up, deep fried, and served hours later. The omlet was soaked in cheese whiz. Again, served cold. I only ate it because I was hungry and hadnt eaten since early the night before. It was awful. No one from the staff asked us if we needed refills on our drinks, I had to wave them down for water. Usually, I dont complain because most people in the food business get offended. I pay, post my review and never return. But this was basically the worst meal Ive had in years. So, I told the waitress I wasnt paying for the French toast that had two bites taken out of it and I asked her to take it off the check. Some one from management came out. Maybe an owner?? She seemed slightly annoyed but to their credit, they removed the French toast. So, for cold eggs, cold coffee, and kids pancakes I paid $20 which included a $1.00 tip. The tip wasnt deserved but its not the teenage girls fault, its managements fault. My advice to management: Rethink your pricing if thats the quality meal youre going to serve. The place wasnt busy and the wait time was unacceptable. Every time I looked into the kitchen, I saw people standing around doing nothing. You need to decide if youre going to be a gourmet breakfast cafe, or a value dinner. Once you decide on what you want to be, then you can adjust your menu, quality, prices, and portions appropriately. My adive to consumers: Go around the corner to Lava Java. That place is consistently awesome.

Just found out that Hurricane Sandy heavenly damaged their original location at 607 Bay Ave in Lavallette, NJ. They have reopened about 3 miles South of that location at 421 Bayside Terrace, Seaside Heights NJ Just North of the NJ Rt 37 bridge into Seaside. Very lay back/casual kind of a place. Outdoor seating for 45 people + inside holds about 30 more. Great view of the bay and marina. Sit back, have a bite and watch the boats drift past. Currently open for Breakfast & Lunch till 3pm. Starting in early June, they will stay open for dinner. Joe at SeaShoreMusic

I have a small YouTube account and this place is so cute and a loving place. The young staff was very attentive and welcoming. The cafe was packed, but my group of 5 were seated within 10 minutes. Since the place was full, the food took a little longer than expected, but it was definitely worth the wait. Our waitress, "Liz", checked in on our table and my group gave her a nice tip. Please check into my YouTube to look for a vlog review of the place! Also, my Instagram has beautiful pictures of our food!

Our waitress did a horrible job. We ordered two eggs with homefries and bacon. The home fries tasted freezer burnt. We had to ask for our bacon, then she only brought one out instead of two. Had to ask for our water to be refilled after 5 mins of it sitting there empty while she was chatting with coworkers right beside us. No butter was on our toast, and when we asked for some it was frozen. The ketchup was extremely warm like it was at an outside table all day. Needless to say we will never go back.

If I could give this place less than one star I absolutely would. This is second time I have tried this place out and it is terrible. Not only did the woman at the front seat a few tables ahead of my party that showed up after us but our waitress was terrible. The food took over an hour to come to our table and our waitress did not come check on us once for refills or anything. I would absolutely not recommend this place. Take your buiness elsewhere.

Absolutely terrible menu and terrible place to eat. We waited at our table for 40 minutes and never got food. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a cheeseburger....thats it. I asked the waitress how long it was going to be for food and her response was...."like 5 minutes". That was enough for me to kindly pay for my iced teas and leave. It was a Monday at 1pm. Not enough help to run an efficient restaurant. Stay away.

VERY disappointed they have new owners and changed the menu. The used to make a great huge sandwich called the Bomber...gone. The waitress tried to recreate it but no cigar the sandwich wasnt close to being big. She said a lot of people had been asking about it you would think the new owners would see the demands of the people and react accordingly. Been going there for around 20 years there will not be a 21st

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Took them a half hour to bring out menus, no bread, salads didnt come at all. My group and I waited for an hour and 10 minutes and we only got one appetizer. We left because we couldve eaten two dinners in that time period at a different restaurant.

Great breakfast. Pancakes are amazing.. I love there atmosphere and every thing the reason why I didnt put five stars is that the service could be faster during the summer season

Service was very slow, kitchen forgot our order, gave us the wrong food, and charged us extra for things we didnt want, like extra toast or lemons. Not happy with our experience
