I brought my family and my fathers friends family here for an enjoyable dinner but expect to be insulted by the service and quality of the food. I would like to start off by describing the weakness in service where my mother brought a small portion of her wine, that was medically suggested by a doctor to be taken during dinner, into the dining area and as the food was being served the assistant manager with a small mustache who said not to have the drink and is not allowed any other conditions by the restaurant. My mother who has a minor issue with her heart must take this type of red wine to improve her condition and was not by large proportions, and to further reduce the amount of wine sharing the same man took an empty glass from our table and neglected to return it back. This angered all of us and we could have used the glass for something else such as sharing water, or sharing a specialty drink if someone simply wanted a small sip but regardless the glass was not return and no explanation was given for the act. The horror story does not end here. It continues until we receive the cold food that the waiter brought out and we had to tell the damn waiter to heat it up for us again in any means possible. This did not anger us, what really set us on fire was the fact when we were "TRYING" to enjoy our meals we were constantly being monitored by the waiters and the assistant manager as they stood in the corner staring directly at us as if we are crooks. We are hard working people just like anyone else and have a clean record and why would we want to do that ? This made us uncomfortable. Next, remember that empty glass and the small portion of wine ? well it is back to haunt us again when the receipt came, there was a charge for having one glass of wine ,WHICH WE WERE UNAWARE OF AND DOES NOT STATE IT IN THE RESTAURANTS POLICY ANYWHERE !!. Plus this its sister facility who is under the same owner as Moghul restaurant, couple of streets down and they allow this BYOB policy in open arms. Is it possible that this facility does not recognize a medical condition ? We are and were furious, they lost tons of customers, congratulations. Ladies and Gentlemen the decision is yours !!!

This was our second visit to this place, our first visit was fairly satisfactory as we had been on a weekday early in the evening. The trip yesterday 3rd July was a absolute disaster. I believe all the restaurants on Oak Tree road should be avoided at all costs during a weekend or holiday unless you are ready to be insulted and demeaned. The majority of the Indian community that visits Oak tree road seems to accept arrogance and lack of any service etiquette from the eating houses along this street. Unfortunately I don’t relish being insulted and demeaned when I am paying a premium in an eating house that claims to be a up market one from this or any other eating house on the street. Its time the other community members also express this same feeling. I do not see any constraint of implementing a proper queuing system at these eating houses. They just do not feel the need for the same taking all customers for granted. On 6th July when we entered this place approx 9:30 PM , it was not too crowded but the smaller table available was just one. We were three of us in a party, the waiter showed us to a table in the corner near the rest room. There was some sort of stink in that general area, the air was musty, and apparently the air conditioning was not functioning up to the mark. When we requested to have a better table the waiter had the arrogance to tell us that we had to sit in that specific table and all the people around were OK with the stink and we should also be OK with the same. We will not be given any other table even if one was available as we were just 3 of us and the other tables were for larger capacity. I walked out of this place as I did not feel the need to pay a premium for arrogance. Point is: Avoid this joint at all costs during weekends and holidays unless you are prepared to be insulted.

Food was served quickly... May be because there were only few customers on the weekend. Normally we ask for especiity of the restaurant before we place the order believing whatever is their best and greatest dish... We should hear about it and order the same. Ambience: Fine/OK. 2.5 on 5. We were 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) we were offered a dingy place in an 20% occupied restaurant. We were motivated to order "Egg Bonda" and "Urban Special Chomp". Egg bonda had hardly anything to do with Egg and 4 half pices, weighing may be 5 gms each. I mean, taste was 1.5 on 5, quantity... Lols for USD 8. Now coming to "Urban Special Chomp"... Priced at USD 18. All you get is 5 pieces of 10 gms. Taste was 2.5 on 5. Now the question, if I will go there again... May be if someone else is paying. Would I recommend this place to others: Yes, if I want them to get ripped off. To make it clear, am I recommending this place: If you are reading this line, you havent read what I wrote above... A Big Nooooo.

We came here for their spl brunch buffet on Fathers Day. On a weekend like this, one does expect lines and a wait before you get seated and some if it is a full service place. Which is why we chose buffet. So no compliant about waiting to get a table. But then you realize there is a nasty wait in the buffet line because there is no food in the buffet dishes. We waited over 20 min in line and the food still didnt arrive. When I asked the servers how long the wait may be the answer was very condescending that I was being impatient which was uncalled for since it was a busy weekend for them. Nobody refilled the water either. Duh me - expecting good service on a special weekend. To add insult to injury the food was quite tasteless and lacked any kind of flavor. Maybe it was because they ran out of food and cooked this at the last minute but I am surely not going Bk for anything!!

Horrible experience with the waiter. Food was ok. Nothing to rave or complain about. But the waiter taking our order and cleaning up at the end including handling the check was just simply rude. He was u professional. Took the order as if he was doing us a favor. Was absolutely impatient. Made faces at what we wanted to order. The final nail in the coffin was when I was the last person in group of about 10 people cleaning up the food while others pondered on dessert order. He just took all the dishes up and asked afterwards if I was still eating. He didnt care about my amazed facial expression when he picked the first two and continued to just clean the table. We had five curries and 5-6 pieces of bread left. At the very least, we could have packed it. Went there after a year and dont think I m going back again anytime soon.

Did not eat the food yet and so far have not appreciated service. Will continue this post as evening progresses. Original 2 star rating. Food came. Chicken 65 delicious but small portions. Perfect for 2 people only. Chicken Biryani also excellent. Larger portions. Priced toward the higher end though. Or half priced appetizers go M-Th between 5:30-7:30. We went on Thursday at 9:30 and they did not honor it. Kind of bummed by that because te place was empty and it was still the same night. The manager was a bit rude but the other waiters were nice. It can be loud in there although the ambience is very nice. Overall enjoyed the dinner but Urban Spice could make some adjustments with courtesy and service so that it retains customers and becomes on par with higher end restaurants. I give this 3 stars.
