Yeah the menu is limited but what they do have is excellent! Some places have a huge menu and do everything mediocre. I would rather go to a place that has a small menu and does everything well and The Bait Box Does that. I had the Grilled Pork Chops and my wife and Farther in Law both had the Broiled Crab Cake. My wife makes excellent crab cakes herself and for her to say it was excellent it has to be above and beyond anything else. The Crab Cakes were almost 100% crab with no filler only something top hold them together while cooking. She said she could not see how they would even be able to fry them although a fried option was on the menu. My Pork Chops were tender and juicy done to perfection. Service was quick and very attentive without the feeling of being rushed. I did not need to look or motion to our waitress she always seem to be there at the right time. We will be back!

The atmosphere is nice and peaceful. The food is mediocre. The calamari is frozen which means they taste like rubber bands. The crab cake is more like crab imperial. The vegetables did not taste fresh either. The dessert was tasty! The server was nice, but rushed us and it wasnt busy. We had appetizers and dinner at the same time. We traveled about 40 minutes to go here so I doubt we will take the trip again. My suggestion: prepare fresh quality food. There is no excuse to pump out frozen or canned items. You have a great location and nice restaurant, but the food is below average. If you want customers to drive to this remote location the food and service need to be good. Dont rush your tables when it is not busy! Again, driving 40 minutes I would like to enjoy my meal and not feel rushed. Try coursing your food so it doesnt come out all at the same time.

We drove almost an hour to get here and then we see a sign on the door saying that there was a private party??? I spoke to the manager and they said there was a post on their facebook page and their website....1. There are some people that dont have a facebook. 2. People dont really think to check the website. I just google searched and it said the regular hours, nothing special. We also tried calling, but the automated voice answering machine didnt saying anything about a private party....Very disappointed since we wanted to relax and have a nice, scenic dinner after driving all that way. We have been there before and the food is good as well as the service. A shame the phone system wasnt updated about the party. Unfortunately we most likely wont be taking the trip to this restaurant anymore...

The lump and I use lump loosely here, lump crab cakes were bland and could have come from any grocery store freezer section. The roasted rep pepper sauce is red, it had that going for it. As for my steak... I havent had one like it since the sizzler steak house closed. My wife had a ten dollar appetizer the capresi tower, three sickly slices of hot house tomatoes, possibly mozzarella cheese and a dark viscous liquid...balsamic? The whole experience was underwhelming until we got the check! Holy $#/+!!! Never again p.s. the green heads were the highlight of the evening.

Neither myself, my family, nor my friends have ever visted (and probably never will again) this marina/restaurant until today. Service was fine, but food was overpriced and beyond lousy. I wouldnt give the prime rib cheese steak to my dog. It was one huge slab of fat on a stale roll. Why would you put that on bread? There was only one waitress for 22 people! Really?? I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone. I hope things improve there because the employees were very nice and understanding.

I really like this place. It’s a pleasant drive through some beautiful country and the view from the restaurant is fantastic. Food was great and we had the best Rum Runners we ever had. My only complaint was that our appetizers and meal came out almost at the same time. The only other thing that would make this place even better would be an outdoor seating/bar area, screened in of course.

Portions were small and the fish was way overcooked. My Mahi-Mahi was chewy-chewy. The garlic potatoes were decent but came out cold and the veggies were bland. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 1 star is the atmosphere, the setting was nice and the waiter was trying hard to keep up. I would go back for the outdoor bar but not the food.

I had the BBQ Carnitas sandwich. It was easily in the top five best things I have ever eaten. The atmosphere is nice with lots of neat old tools and nautical gear. Great view and service to boot. Highly recommend.
