We love this dinner, this is our dinner of choice sometimes we are there multiple times during the week especially because we live a couple of blocks away. Except for last night, my family went there for dinner my ribs were inedible and my husbands lasagne was gross. I returned my ribs and they took it off the bill. My husband didnt want to return his lasagne and just said lets get the bill and go when the kids are done. When the waitress asked if he wanted to wrap his lasagne he said no she proceeded to say but you just took a bite. I told her it didnt taste good she took it upon herself to tell the manager and he said I cant take it off the bill but I can give you a piece of cake. I was more annoyed with that than anything else we didnt have diner but you want to give us dessert. I would think as a manager you would of come over and be more concerned that your dinner served two unedible meals. Its not like we ate the food and said it was not good both meals had one bite that I actually had to spit out into a napkin thats how bad it was. My bill was $60 and I had to go home and make diner for me and my husband. Its sad that our server was more concerned and kept apologizing but the manager wanted to buy us a piece of cake. Wont be going there for dinner again.

This place is mediocre at best. The only reason it survives is because its the only place in the area that serves the type of food that it does. Otherwise, they always make mistakes- missing sauces, missing ingredients, etc. Once I found hair in my food. Oftentimes it seems like a 12 year old cooked my meal- no care, just slopped together to get by, missing ingredients (the ones listed on the menu) cold. Despite this, I do eat there once in a while, because again, they are the only place that has the menu that it does. Certain dishes are reliable as are as their desserts, but otherwise, not worth the price. C-/D+

Honestly, I love this place. My girlfriend introduced me to this diner last year, and we literally order here every other Friday. We always get the rib eye steak. Im a big steak person and Im pretty picky about where I get my steak from and my girlfriend is even pickier. But when she told me the steak was good I didnt want to believe it. But its definitely more than good for a diner. There mash potatoes are bomb!! And so are their curly fries. There chicken Ceasar salad is bomb too. And Mike the owner is a great guy. Hes great with customers and he always has my order 100%

My smoked salmon was cooked to perfection - savory, moist and just the right texture. My friend ordered the Greek Salad and she loved it. The service was overall very good and the vibe in the diner was quite lively - an overall great place to dine out. Definitely returning! PS: We were browsing Gotham City, Fair Lawns reviews and came across the previous low reviews, which left us scratching our heads after our experience. So we looked at their other posts -- very revealing! They must be the over zealous competition!

We loved Gotham at first then they kept putting us in the back dinning room with all the large families when all we wanted was a quiet booth. Then the final straw was a Sunday afternoon lunch special, a hot turkey wrap, first of all wraps are usually cold, second the turkey was BAD. Didnt realize it since it was masked with so much cheese and onion but belive me at the end of the sandwich we were grossed out. Well never go back. Go to 4 West Diner where the old Bennigans was. Great food and really FRESH!

One of the best diners I have ever been to, and Ive visited a fair number of the years. I went for dinner and the food, ambiance and services was above average for a diner. Prices were reasonable. Minestrone soup was all vegetarian and homely Salad was simple and fresh, with a top-notch blue cheese dressing Shrimp fajitas were spicy and easily fed two people Special lamb shanks were fall-off-the-bone succulent Triple chocolate cake was OK, not as moist as it should be I will definitely visit again soon.

This place is ok. Not bad. Just if you come in like today early in the morning sit with the Spanish girl server Melissa. The other girl Susan is very rude, Melissa had just one table which was us. And the other girl had about 6 tables rotaing. She had the nerve to get mad. Needless to say. I will never sit at her section. That was very rude and unacceptable to shout out at the spanish lady. However, Melissa is great. Be more like melissa SUSAN. Have a good day. ✌

Ive been coming here since the establishmentchanged hands and rebranded from a different diner. Generally speaking, the food and service have always been great. Last visit however, I was told there was a new chef; the quality of food had dropped somewhat, and the buffalo chicken wrap didnt taste quite the same as how Id enjoyed it for the several years Ive been coming here. Its still a Fair Lawn staple, I just hope that the food returns to how it was.

Husband and I decided to come here because of the good reviews. When we first arrived no one was at the front to greet us. A waiter sat us at a table. Once we settled in, they told us the table will be for someone else. We didnt complain. We had to go back to the front and wait after the other people in line to get seated. The worker guy at the front seating us had a bad attitude. Bad day? Thats not our fault, so please dont take it out on us.

Took my family there for dinner. The place looks amazing. The food quality is below average, but the prices are above normal. The place will be best if it had a signature chef and covert into a restaurant and not a dinner. It has the infrastructure and design for a ridgewood type of restaurant. Will not go out of my way for it since it is just average over price dinner food.

Pm employees were not helpful I ordered 3 dishes One of them came missing mashed potatoes Never placed napkins on our table Never show any care Horrible service Will never have dinner there again I was a regular customer not sure if I am going back again. The manager did not even care when I complained And instead gave me her back. Definetly not going back again

told the waitress over the phone that i cannot eat spicy food i ordered chicken wings and they sent me spicy buffalo wings when i called to complaint all she said was we only sell them that way. at no time did she offered to changed them to something else or bothered to try to make things right. but now i know not to order from here.

Cold coffee, crooked fork, old "plain" cheese cake that tastes like lemon cheese cake, barely ok triple chocolate cake, bad store bought mozzarella sticks with ok fries thats served with old chipped plates and cups. Also dont forget to ask for serving plate in advance to eat your food. Ooh yeah the last thing, no batman either...
