Whats a girl to do when shes craving something warm, savory and golden..find the closest Indian bakery! The bakery is split into two sections when you walk in. Theres the to-go section where you can either pick-up or order what you like. Then theres the step down area where there are tables where you can eat and a "Yogurt Station" however its not always open (just ask the front desk for assistance). There is ample parking since the store is located in a plaza. They even have outdoor seating available on those warmer days. They have a variety of options from American fast food (mozzarella sticks, French fries, etc), Indian sweet cakes to savory Indian munchies. I had asked for their Madras coffee or tea, however they ran out! Chicken Tikka Puff | This was so much better than the puffs Ive gotten in the past. They have both non/veg options for your puff filings. Typically the outside is made with your traditional Pillsburry Puff Sheets one can find at ShopRite however they had a special dough that gave you a great crunch with every bite and was perfectly golden on the outside. On the inside, the chicken tikka pieces were bite size and was not too drying. Only down side was that there was a weird after-taste with the puffs however it tasted amazing so Id go for another piece! Samosa | Standard samosa however there was a lot of the spicy potato filling! The dough on the outside wasnt as crispy how I normally like it but it was chewy and doughy. I just wish they had a dipping sauce with it like Ive normally gotten at other places like some sort of mint chutney or something. In the seating area downstairs, they had Ketchup on the tables. It should be illegal to have the ketchup with the samosa! But I may have tried a bit with the ketchup just because it was a bit dry to eat. Cant wait to come back to try some of their sweeter goodies!

The biggest downside is "CASH ONLY". Even for orders more than 10 bucks its cash only. But heres the catch: If you tell him I have only this much in cash and the bill is more than that he takes credit card swipes it in the machine in the back room and accepts payment. What bullshit..why cant you just accept credit card for more than 10 bucks orders? bought two cakes for my childs bday. The first cake was bought from the ready made lot. It tasted old, dry and had a sugar overdose with no real flavor of pineapple. The second cake ordered was not ready for pickup and didnt taste anything like the orange cake we had ordered. To top it off it cost $60 for 4 lbs of crap cake plus $10 for the cake deco toys. Stay away from this place and please dont ruin your bday parties by ordering cake from here.

Love the food. The quality is exceptional. My favorite is the veggie burger. The owner apparently prepares a home-made super-tasty chutney to go with the burger. Also, chips are complimentary. But here is the downer--if you order the burger to-go, they dont give you the chips. The guys there say that it is the store policy and the owner is strict about not giving out chips. The chutney on insisting is given grudgingly. I simply dont understand--if you can give it to me when i am in the store--why not when i take it to-go?? If the store owner is reading this---please change the policy or make sure the workers are not plain lazy. Apart from that---they are friendly and the food is great.Would have given them five stars, if not for the above episode. Thanks N

I cant understand why they dont accept card and only accept cash. They have signs all over saying "we dont accept debit or credit only cash or Cheque" and when asked why, they should you a bunch of swiping card machines that dont work and their answer is that the machines just dont work. They had the same answer 2 months ago. I am sure they will have the same answer for every next time I visit. I hoped that the food was okay but it was nothing that was a great, extremely mediocre. I wish I could give the. Half a Star.

Had one of the worst experiences as far as restaurants / fast food centers in edison go. Its not so much about the food but the extremely rude behavior of the owner or manager or whoever it was. We had reached around 06:45 pm and probably they were getting ready to close at 7 pm or so and all we wanted to do was pick up some thing to eat. The manager was extremely discourteous and was not ready to take take our order. We obviously were not welcome and when reminded about the time not yet 7 pm he decided to ignore us.

Have always enjoyed Hot Breads eggless items. Recently I ordered cup cakes for my daughters birthday. They were a disaster. The cup cakes were dry & tasteless & no trace of sweetness at all. Even muffins can be more tastier. After discussing with manager, he explained that in his quest of making it allergy free for school kids, his recipe turned this outcome - which is nothing close to a cupcake. So the bottomline is if you want eggless allergy free cakes - HOT BREADS IS NOT THE PLACE!

Message from my friend: Not a forwarded message, self experienced today - we brought pufs this evening (9/27/16) from HotBreads shop in Apna Bazar complex in Oaktree Road. The pufs were smelling very bad with rotten curry inside and also got a roach in one of the pufs. I heard so many complaints before about HotBreads but did not really much bother. However after experiencing this personally, thought of sharing with you all especially for the wellness of our beloved kids.

food is ok....but worst customer service....there is a guy with mustache he has the cheapest behavior......there was another customer who probably took cake one day ago and complained by bringing it to them saying that it is bitter and this cheap fellow dig his finger into the cake, right in front of everyone and tasted saying it is fine to him......better to avoid this...if you think you have no choice then and only then visit this...

My throat is very sensitive to preservatives. My throat irritation starts as soon as I eat food which has preservatives. From my experience I can tell that Hot Breads use very high amount of preservatives in their Paavs (Indian bread). I think the amount of preservatives they use is way beyond the amount used in any other brand of breads you get in supermarkets. I am not going to buy from this shop anymore.

HORRIBLE... Am allergic to egg so asked for an eggless pastry ... One bite and I knew the pastry had egg .., when asked .. I was told since they use the same bowl for all batters , I should have told them about the allergy .. Such a waste .. Wont recommend anyone to go there .. Totally irresponsible behavior especially some of us have religious sentiments attached to non vegetarian ....BAD

This location at edison is a joke. All the cakes are dry..dont ever try. If you want to ruin your celebrations you will order from this location. The food is yuckie and service is aweful. On top of that its cash only why because they want to save money on credit card fees also. For the money you pay you can get fantastic cake elsewhere. Please dont ever go there.
