2 bad things about this store: 1- Their parking lot is on steep hills! it is very difficult to push your cart uphill when it is full of stuff. let alone having it stopped without rolling down and hit other cars till you unload to your trunk. I got my car bumper dented because a loose cart who was rolling down the parking "hill" and hit it. I went to the store manager asking her to check the cameras to see who left the cart unsecured, but there was no cameras out there! I understand the store is not responsible for the parking area, but at least they should install a surveillance cameras on the outside! 2- These guys near the exit door who tries to sell you windows and stuff for your house are very rude, and pushy salesmen. I go to BJS for grocery, not for someone who insists rudely that I should stop and listens to his nonsense! Not only he asks once, but he insists like 5 times that you stop and listen to him, when you insist too to move away, he gives you a bad attitude. I really hate this branch.

Went there for the first time. Could not get a shopping cart because they charge $0.25 to release a cart and I did not have coins/cash in my hand. Shopped without a cart, picked up two items, and came to checkout but the wait was around 15-20 minutes because only one clerk was available. All other stations were self-checkout with long waiting lines. Then I was asked to go to Customer Service desk for faster checkout but the clerk walked away (for other important things, like re-shelving returned items) after talking to the customer in front of me, without even asking me why I was waiting. I had to leave the items in the store and walk out. I could not buy anything just after getting my brand new membership :(

This site/store needs a major remodel. The aisles are not as brightly lit as those at Sams Club, and the holding steel is old and banged up in places. That being said, its your run-of-the-mill warehouse club. They do have a few organic produce choices, not as nearly as many as I would like, Sams has virtually no organic produce which is a shame. Also they do have no-nitrite/nitrate cold cuts sold under the Applegate brand which are the only cold cuts I buy, cold cuts cured with chemicals are not fit for human consumption. I left Costco years ago and ended up staying with BJs and Sams because there is usually not a big line. My time is valuable and you would have to pay me to shop at Costco.

The place is generally ok, the staff is friendly and understanding. The reason I wont give it five stars is that for some reason they use old fashioned coin deposit shopping carts, which is way more annoying than one might expect. First off, I dont always remember to carry quarters with me when I go shopping. Second, the coin mechanisms frequently malfunction and take your money without releasing the cart. In my opinion, this place would be way better off with regular carts, but if you really have to do it, at least make sure it works without struggles.

Going to this place is like asking for torture. It seems like no matter what time you go the lines are crazy long, there arent enough cashiers, and the managers are just hanging out behind their desks instead of actively trying to assist customers.

You can save money if you watch the prices closely. Some items like ice cream for example are no where near as cheap as your local super market which has sales every week .

The packets of meat are not bulky and expensive. So you are not forced to by huge packages of meat that either might fill your fridge freezer, and wont go bad .
