I went to this restaurant with my children, after picking them up from school. It was around 3:20pm when I got there. Apparently they have a lunch buffet, and then the dinner buffet, so the pricing is different. We just went there to eat, we weren’t thinking of the buffet prices, ok? So apparently the lunch buffet ends at 3:30pm, no problem. When we got there, the guy at the entrance told us we made it in time for the lunch buffet. The young lady waiting to seat us seemed to have a problem with that. So we are on our way to be seated, and she says to us, you will have to be charged for dinner buffet. I said, No, we were told we are to be charged for the lunch buffet, but she was so nasty about it! Really lady? I mean rolling her eyes and the whole bit. I asked her what her problem was? She said ok, I will charge you for the lunch buffet, but when dinner comes out you cannot eat. Is this woman serious? I turned all shades of crazy on that woman. I told that woman off so bad. What in the world? Are you serious? What do you care miss? We are here to eat at your establishment, and you just lost 4 customers because you want an extra $2? See ya! I usually don’t dine at this place, but I had heard they cleaned this place up. Let me explain. About 2 years ago I got the potatoes and onions from the buffet. There was a COCKROACH in my food. I told the manager, he said they were having problems with roaches but that they were fixing the problem. Nice to hear from the manager, made the situation SO much better. I had not been back there since. This was 2 years ago. But like I said, I heard they were doing better, I figured the health department had to be involved some kind of way and they were not shut down, so I decided to give it a try. I have read reviews on different sites about this place, it seems like they still have a problem with Roaches AND RODENTS! People, stay away from this place. Glad I did walk out yesterday. Check out reviews about this place on other sites. They need to do something about their nasty attitudes and their disgusting kitchen problems. Don’t waste your money there. Go to the new Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet place on Route 22 in Watchung, it is in the Blue Star Shopping Mall, it used to be Old Country Buffet, the food is better anyway.

Three of us went here for lunch. We had no problem at all, except maybe that the food could have been a little quicker coming from the kitchen to the steam tables. If there was anything upsetting, it was that we witnessed a couple lads (Black) get charged up front on their way in, while everybody else (White) was paying on the way out. I guess thats how things work in this town. Again, we had no complaints with the food. Never saw any bugs, or rats. Never saw the restrooms, so cant comment there. Price was reasonable for a lunchtime meal. And yes, English is their second language, so if you have anything to say outside of Yes, No, Please, or Thank you, you might do well to simplify your statement and speak a little bit slower than usual.

I am quite fine with people not speaking good English. Thats one of the many things that makes life interesting. But at LEAST be friendly..ESP if your food is not exactly enough to compensate for a bad demenor. I went yeseterday to take out food and went to the desk with a smile, only to get stared at by the woman at the front desk and get a yes "yes?" when I checked out I handed the guy my card and he puts it down on the counted after he rings me up... I walk home hoping that the food is at least good. I end up thowing 2/3 of it in the trash.

I have been going here for years and the food has never changed. Still go here because its the only place around that really feels like an all you can eat experience. I would stop if there was another buffet close by but sadly there is not. Food couple use a lot of help but nonetheless it is all you can eat. Sushi is good. Service is alright. Waiters are kind of pushy for a tip. Overall its what you feel about the experience. Go once and just try it. And just remember to ask for a hot cup of water to rinse your utensils in.

This restaurant was DISGUSTING. There were roaches everywhere, the bathrooms were terrible and unclean, the plates and silverwear were dirty, and the food and staff are terrible. The staff is rude to you, and the food is cold. The chef did a terrible job and the staff doesnt even care about your experience. I am a food blogger and this restaurant has the worst review I ever gave.

All You Can Eat . Great food selections : Five long tables of food to choose from. Very clean and nice workers. Lunch for 2 people under $15.00 !! And that includes taxes. ALWAYS GO TO THE FOOD WITH CLEAN PLATES THAT IS SUPPLIED THERE. I see a waiter or waitress comes gets the plates I always give a tip. NJ 15% on a dollar. $2.00 Tip.

I give one star because I could not put zero star. Today, I find a piece of roach in the limonade I ordered. I was so surprised that I spent all the time thinking, no way that cant be... Adding to the fact that customer service is very inadequate. Does New Jersey inspect their restaurants? This is unacceptable...

The food was horrible. The food was old and tasteless. The facility was dirty. The silverware was dirty. The bathroom was the most disgusting thing i ever saw. I immediately walked out. Never will go there again. Please save your money and time. That place is needs to be shut down by the health dept.

No variety in food. The majority of the food Is soul food so for people like me that Dont eat soul food its a waste of money. Place also smelled as if the carpet was washed the day before and they let it air dry while open. Wouldnt come back again.

My daughter just came from this restaurant so distraught after seeing a RAT the size of a KITTEN . Running around the seating area. I have also been there in the past and the Food was Terrible!
