I was searching for authentic indian food and was recommended to go to Tiffin by my friend, a Punjabi Indian-American. Of all other indian food restaurants within a 20 mile radius of Essex/Morris counties, my friend insisted that nothing compares to Tiffin. He was right; prices, taste, size and quality of the dishes, decorum and etiquette of the staff, and ambiance offered the best experience Ive ever had at any indian restaurant. They do an excellent job at delivering authentic, quality indian food that does not overwhelm those not well acquainted with spices from the East. Essentially, it is hard to find a place that will give you real medium spice thats not too mild and not too hot. Additionally, I recommend theit vegetable samosas.

we went to this place on our friends recommendation .Food was good . but our experience wasnt. we were there for lunch. we reached there around 2-2.30pm. few people were still there. we started our lunch as it was buffet we were enjoying our lunch, slowly the hall was almost empty and meanwhile we heard some words from kitchen as "they are eating like a Bird". It was clear that they were pointing us as just before that they asked us to take whatever we need so that they can close kitchen. It was very disrespectful hence we decided to leave and asked to get the check. after that no one came back to take card. we visited many indian restaurants in USA, But this was the worst experience we had.

Tiffin’s buffet is large and in charge. The selection is wide compared to most Indian buffets with soup, multiple desserts, and main dishes beyond the typical chicken tikka and paneer saag. The food is well seasoned and excellent with a few items that are a bit spicy, rare for buffets. Service was decent, but a bit disappointing that for a family friendly spot, there was only a single high chair available so we had to use car seats. The goat curry and chicken curry were both excellent with great depth of flavor and a bit of spice. The mango lassi dispenser was a nice touch for the buffet as well. You’ll have no problems finding a spot in the huge parking lot.

Cautiously optimistic, wife and I did the Living Social take-out thing on an early Friday night. Without doubt - food was awesome across the board. Way better than any Essex County-local Indian weve experienced. Fresh ingredients, sophisticated spices - not the usual curry this that and the other. Our credentials: my wife business travels to Cochin regularly, and I spent many years in the East Village eating Indian on 6th Street. Having only done take-out, quality of the actual food service remains TBD but the experience we had with those "take-out" services provided was solid. We think a safe bet - and heck, promote a local business!

Just got done eating at this place. Im not local .. but i bought a groupon and Wow was it worth it. My waitor Nadesh was so pleasant and very helpful in choosing a dish. This is the first time I have ever eaten Indian food. He recommened the chicken tikka marsala and i gotta tell you.. it is one of the most delicious chicken recipes i have ever eaten. If you have never tried indian food you need to go to this place and get that chicken tikki marsala! You wont be sorry! Big portions, extremely reasonable prices and everyone is so friendly. I will definately be back, even with the hour drive.

My Favorite Indian restaurant in the area. I was a big fan of the former restaurant at this location, Saffron, though it was a bit on the pricey side for someone used to NYCs, "Little India". But in NJ, you very much get what you pay for, and high prices aside Saffron was worth every penny. Well, Im happy to say that Tiffin hasnt missed a beat AND theyre more reasonably priced too. Get on their mailing list, as theyre always running specials and discounts. The flavors taste just as delicious, having me wondering if they kept the same cooking staff on. Ill be returning.

Recently we celebrated our sons birthday party. Around 60 people attended the event. From food to service, I wish, I could use better word than OUTSTANDING. Prior to the party I tried the food several times and suggested the changes in the recipe the way we wanted. The chef and the staff received our suggestions well and exceeded our expectations. If anyone considering a party, I highly recommend this place.

Great authentic Indian food !! We have been dining at Tiffin for a while now. Both the food and service is excellent. Tiffins Manager, Mr. Krishna Singh, is a great host and has done an impeccable job with both food and the ambiance of the restaurant. The team has successfully experimented with Fusion food for atleast 1 or 2 items as part of their buffets every weekend. Highly recommend !!

This would be my very first time experiencing the joy that is to be described as Indian cuisine and absolutely delicious is all i can say. Vegetarian and non vegetarian choices are available. The staff is very friendly and was very patient in describing every dish in detail to guide me in my new found love for Indian cuisine. A great place to bring the family or date.

Food was really good and their lunch buffet is amazing. $10 all you can eat at lunch cant be beat. You can order online for delivery also and get points for your orders that can later be used for orders, but if youre not ordering during "normal" lunch or dinner hours make sure you call and verify that they have a delivery driver.

This place used to be a great place which we always cherish and recommend . Coming since long tym for buffet. But last 2 visits, its not the same experience. All the food was cold and not of the previous level. Informed the waiter but response was even more bitter. Sorry to say but yesterday was our last visit.

We had two parties at Tiffin, average of 60+ people each time. Food, and service both were excellent. Everyone had a great time, food was very taste and service was very good. Chef came introduced himself and was very nice. My family and friends love this place I will strongly recommend for any occasion.

If you like friendly places with extensive buffet, good quality food...then you will find it here. And the prices are very reasonable. Negative point: when Tiffin is hosting parties, then you are out of luck, the general public is not allowed. Call ahead to be sure that your drive is not wasted.

Service here was phenomenal and the food was delicious. Our waiter Naresh was very nice and respectful throughout the whole experience. Explained every dish to us as it was our first time at an Indian cuisine. Highly recommend. Would come back here all the time.

Great Indian Food. One of the best places in and around Parsippany NJ to have Indian food. Flavors are good and portions are also great. The place has also got good ambiance. Service is also good. I would definitely recommend Tiffin.

Im an Indian and super picky about my Indian foods and I swear I rarely declare any food as good as my mothers cooking. This place is one of the only few that comes close. Seriously hope they dont change their cook anytime soon!! :)

Great food, but they were super crowded and plagued by a broken credit card machine. To their credit though they were just asking people to come back with cash when they could. Staff was obviously slammed, but still super nice.
