We called to make reservations for a party of 11 and were told they just take walk-ins. Once we got to the restaurant we were told by the girl at the door that they dont take parties of 11. We never were asked if we could be seated at two tables so I asked, Can we be seated at two tables in near proximity and were told that couldnt be guaranteed. I wondered the whole time does the owner of the establishment know that his employee who is probably just there for the summer finished turning away a party of 11 simply because she didnt want to try and accommodate paying customers. As it turns out we just walked a couple of feet to Delaneys and they were happy to seat us in two tables across from each other. Oh well!

We stopped here for drinks and appetizers but did not stay long. For some reason I wasnt crazy about the vibe - it was kind of noisy and crowded during the day but that mightve been bc it was the monday after labor day. The employyes were nice enough but not super attentive. The decor is a little bit of fluorescent colors and overall I just wasnt feeling it. The appetizer was ok and the rest of the food might be very good we just didnt eat much. Call me crazy but I kind of liked it better when it was the old nautical looking place - it had more character. We only went there a couple times over the years but it was comfortable. We may give this place another try though next summer since its so new.

Food was fin and the service was good but I bought a Dogfish Seaquest beer on tap. I asked about it and was told it was very popular. I ordered it. It was cold and looked good but it was a sour beer. Why they make sour beers is beyond me. To me it was not good. At the behest of my party I told the waitress that it was not what I liked and I ordered a 60 min IPA. After taking my sour beer away and getting it another I was told that I was going to be charged for the sour beer. A bit unfair. We spoke with the manager who said that I ordered the beer and there was nothing wrong with it so I would have to pay. The beer cost me $6 but how much did that really cost the restaurant? Do better!

My boyfriend and I went there during happy hour (3-6 pm), where the food is really cheap, and drinks too if youre 21. In order to get the discounted prices you need to sit by the fish tank, at the bar, or at one of the high top tables. We sat by the fish tank and we had a wonderful time with great service and excellent food. Adrianna, our server, was nice, helpful, and timely when serving us. We ordered a margherita flat bread, crispy calamari, and the crispy fish tacos. This ended up being too much food for us but it was so delicious and now we have great leftovers!

My wife and I had our first visit to Fins today, and it will not be our last. Happy hour from 11:30-6 was amazing. Most places reduce the size of their food portions for happy hour. Not Fins. The calimari was unbelievable and the chicken tenders were juicy and came with a huge plate of fries. We also ordered clams and oysters on the half shell and both were awesome. I have to give a huge shout out to Kenny the bartender. He was attentive to our drinks and at the same time, kept a nice conversation with my wife and I. Thanks for making our day, a day to remember.

The food was great, however the service was absoluty terrible. We started with appitisers and the waitress put in the wrong order, so we recieved an incorrect dish. Then, for entrees a simple substitution was made to switch rice to potatoes...the entree came out with rice. Also, the whole time we felt like we were being rushed with the waitresses hurried attitude. She also got very defensive and standoffish when we told her mistakes were made with our orders and her additude proceeded to get progressively worse. Good food, terrible service...wont be back.

My wife and I stopped by for a late lunch, (locals, who now split our time between PA and Cape May,) she had the arugula salad with duck and it was phenomenal. Happy hour menu and pricing was awesome!!! So glad they were open this time of year. The Pilot House (which was the previous incarnation) will always hold a place in our hearts but this redo is a great addition to Cape May proper. Get with the times Ugly Mug and Delaneys "Irish Pub" and provide quality and value to your guests and stop relying on your name/location. Great job Fins...

I am only giving it two stars and not one because of the previous positive experience. Looks like Fins is one of those new places, which got popular quickly and dropped their standards immediately. The bartender apparently had no clue what she was doing and had an attitude with that. The dinner menu was a lot more basic than before. The food was average at best and very bland. Mediterranean salad left terrible onion aftertaste. May be theyll improve off season, when the restaurants have to work a bit harder to attract and keep customers.

Had a really enjoyable meal at Fins. Our server, Marnie, was really friendly and experienced.. she stayed on top of our water glasses and was very friendly. She offered advice on what wings to get and I wasnt disappointed! House wings were the perfect combination of savory and sweet. My only criticism was the wait for our entrees. It was over 30 mins until we received the meal after appetizers. I know it was a really really busy game day but that was a little much.

Had the Shrimp and Crab Penne. It had all the right ingredients yet no flavour. For a dish with capers, broccoli rabe, crab; this dish had no flavour. I added over 3 tbsp of salt, hoping to bring out something, did not work. Pasta was overcooked too. Also they forgot our appizers, and served the main entree first. Hope this was just an off night. My guess is that the place is in such a great location the place gave up on quality food.

One of the top three Worst meals I have ever eaten!!! The Mac and Cheese App. had a stank fishy taste. The restaurant itself is unique inside and the dishes sound fancy on the menu but their lack presentation and taste. My main meal was bland. The bread was stale. The buffalo shrimp looked and tasted like frozen food from the supermarket. Dont waste your money!!! The Service and the French fries were the highlight of the meal.

Tourist trap! The food seems good on paper but was surprisingly low quality and serivce was slow. I got a special tuna steak sandwich that had a very gross massive blood line running through it and when I mentioned it to the server, she said the chef said it was normal and a vein. Sure, normal, but gross and a poor presentation in my opinion.

We went in for a quick bite between shopping and heading to the beach. For being a beach area places usually move quicker, there wasnt many people there when we came in but it still took forever to get our food (30minutes). The food itself was delicious, just wish it would of come out quicker.
