Avoid it!! If you are in the area, this a nice place to take pictures from the outside. Good luck getting in and out of the parking lot (busy road). Now to the nitty gritty..... 1. The hostess was very friendly and polite, so she deserves an A+. 2. The waitress is a whole different story. She was eating while she was taking our orders and continued eating while serving our food - a big turned off. She gets an F- 3. The food...... Oh my God...I dont even want to go there...... I ordered steak and eggs ...steak medium well..eggs over easy.home fries and white toast...the steak was medium rare and rubbery and the eggs...they looked like they were frozen in time like Niagara Falls in a harsh winter. The home fries, they looked like the were the last on the grill...charcoal black and of course the burnt toast. Definitely food for the garbage ....I give the cook a fail grade, with the suggestion that he goes back to culinary school or find a new line of work. There were 5 in our party and everyone had serious complaints. This restaurant has the potential to be better, but to achieve that, the management should look for class A help and class A cooks..people that take pride on their work. It is your prerogative if you want to to eat at this place but YOU BEEN WARNED! .

One of the worst breakfast experiences Ive ever had. We waited 35 minutes for two waffles and one order of home fries. When the food finally came, my waffle was covered in FROZEN fruit. As in, it was still frozen. When we complained, we were told I could have another waffle but that the fruit would still be frozen because thats how they serve it. My tea was served with ice cold water and we were given boxes of orange juice when we ordered juice. What kind of diner messes up waffles? There wasnt even any kind of apology for the long wait or the errors. Our waitress never even glanced at us during the half an hour we were waiting for our food. Its a shame what Jumboland has come to. I came here when I was a kid for burgers and ice cream and have fond memories of it. Looks like I wont be making any new ones.

Ive gone two times and have never been able to finish what I ordered. Food is tasteless. The first I went I got a steak sandwich that was burnt and had no flavor. Tasted like burnt cardboard with a meat texture. I went a second time, earlier in the day, just to see if it was any different. I ordered Spaghetti Scampi. Disgusting! No flavor, just a wet sauce over plain,flat noodles. If that didnt ruin my appetite, dead may flies littered the windowsills and spiderwebs were in the corners. It may just me and my taste buds but I will not be going back. The staff was also not very welcoming.

This place has been around forever, and Im not sure why. The staff are very friendly, but thats the beginning and end of the nice things I can say about it. The food is pretty bad diner food. The ice cream is terrible. The interior has no charm whatsoever. It was never what Id call a clean place, but I wouldnt call it particularly dirty either... however I havent been there in a couple years, so I cant tell you its current state. This is just a perfect example of Sussex County food. Its terrible and bland, and yet somehow keeps customers coming back year after year after year.

Stopped here after work this afternoon. 9/13/16. Sat down and waited for someone to come over to take my order. Waited patiently for about 5 mins. The whole time there. were 3 girls standing by the front counter talking and one was eating. I walked up to them and asked if someone was going to take my order. The one that was eating giggled and smiled. I said well I didnt want to bother them so I promptly left with a real disgusted attitude. Tommy you have to get better help or train your staff better. This is the second time I have walked out. Awful service.

The place looks nice but the food leaves a bit to be desired. I asked for my burger rare but it came out well done and very dry; no lettuce, no tomato. The roll was also dry. Even the BACON was dry! (I mean come on, its pretty hard to get bacon wrong.) Water came in styrofoam cups. Coffee was very weak; ice cream tasted very artificial. Waitresses are friendly but dont always follow up. (For instance, kids meals come with milk or juice, and choice of dessert, but you have to ask to make sure you get them.)

Been going there for three years now. You cannot beat the breakfast special. Three eggs (any style) home fries & toast with coffee, etc. All delivered by a pleasant and efficient waitress in a timely manner and hot. Only one time the waitress was not up to par, but that was because she was new. One of the best breakfast diners that I have EVER been to.

We stopped at Jumboland after RV shopping. There was a nice menu the food came out quick and it was what you would expect from a diner. I was a little surprised that the wait staff was so casual. One waitress was wearing workout clothes. Our waitress was arguing with the hostess over tables. It was interesting if nothing else.

This was our 1st time here, many people have recommended Jumboland for great food and I have to say we were not disappointed! The waitresses were very nice! Food was excellent! This is our new permanent place to eat at! We dont like whats around in the area! I promise you wont be disappointed!! Thanks Jumboland!!!

Avoid this place. Stopped for breakfast. Home fries were barely room temperature and burnt.Toast was cold. Sent it back and it came back maybe a degree warmer!! Toast so cold it couldnt even melt the gobs of butter (actually think it was margarine not butter). Waitress never came back to give us a coffee refill.

I dont know what you other people are talking about but everytime I order from jumboland my food bangin everytime. Service is always good too I never wait long. And its my favorite place to order from when I have off for the day. So jumboland keep it up.

Overall this place was friendly and has good service. The food was okay. I had the cheddar burger, which barley had cheese covering half the burger. It was pretty disappointing but after coming off the Appalachian trail I just wanted to eat it anyway.

This place is nasty all the help was eating when I walked in nasty floors and walls I even saw a mouse under the bench bewareeeeeeeee please stay away this is not a good place to eat... the silverware was so cloudy and Grimmy my God its unbarable

Hiking the AT, this is exactly what my body craves. Nice staff, generous portions, reasonable prices, delicious food. Dont expect anything fancy but come for things like Jumbo Texas Hot Dogs, Sirloin Steaks with Onion Rings, etc. Love it.

Every time I come up to see a client I stop here for breakfast. Prices are super cheap, egg plater with homefries, toast and coffee is like 3.25 thats a steal. The food is also good along with the service. That same dish in nyc is 8.75.
