We wound up at this bakery by chance. I had drove past its windows several times on a Saturday and finally stopped in to get my treats. Me and my son are from a small city in upstate NY and we were greeted by an owner who loves his business and making people mouths happy. The young lady behind the counter was wonderful to chat with and we shared some stories. And that persona followed through into the items that we purchased to take back to our motel room and enjoy. The Tiramisu was the best I have ever been fortunate enough to taste...it literally made every taste bud in my mouth pop up and savor every bite. My son who is 12 had the Ricotta Cannoli that he said, "mom this is so good I cant talk right now". I had planned to go back and purchase more to take home but we left earlier than planned to get ahead of the holiday traffic. I can honestly say I would travel the 4.5 hours with a cooler to bring some back home to my friends and family. You can not miss out on getting your favorites here...we also had the Creme Puff and I believe it was the chocolate mousse cheescake ! Amazing, delicious , and exquisite taste and customer service. Thank you for making the last night of our stay so pleasant in so many ways! See you next time......

I placed an order for 75 assorted danishes, muffins, and cannoli for an office event I was hosting for a client in Boston. I called the day before the event to have everything ready by 9 am the following day. When I arrived at 9, everything was nicely boxed, labeled and ready to go. I have to say, driving from Salem to Boston with that wonderful aroma in the car made it difficult not to sneak a pastry out and eat it on the way. Throughout the 4 hour event, all I could hear from my clients was praise for how great these pastries were. Everybody kept asking me where I got everything. I managed to get my hands on one of the cannoli before they were gone, and WOW, Id place that cannoli in the top 2 that Ive ever had (yes, Ive had more than 2... my wife is Italian and my stepmother was Italian... trust me, Ive had enough cannoli that I should probably weigh a couple hundred pounds more than I do). I will absolutely be using this bakery for my future morning events.

Just got my sons birthday cake from here. He loves the "death by chocolate" kind of cakes, so thats what we got him - chocolate cake, chocolate mouse filling and chocolate ganache icing. We paid $34 for a small cake with a poorly cut out picture on the top of it (looked like a 5-year-old had done it). The ganash wasnt sweet at all, more of a dark bitter chocolate, which my kids didnt like at all. The cake wasnt moist....it was mushy, especially by the next day. All in all, quite a disappointing experience. Next family birthday, Ill make my own cake.

Hands down the best lobster tail pastry Ive ever found. Better than the famous guys in Bostons North End, or the bakeries just over the Mass line. The pastry was buttery and crispy, the cream was light and sweet without any grit or greasy film. I wish I hadnt driven by so many times without stopping in to try out the amazing offerings. My daughters freshly filled cannoli received the same review, crisp, sweet, perfect. I cant wait to try more of the delicious looking items in their case!

When I do not have time to make homemade, I go to Sugar and Spice Bakery. They make everything the best. I have never had a bad pastry or cake. Their Ganache is awesome. My husband loves the rich taste of the chocolate which is not supposed to be sweet and is so many other places. The owners are the most friendly people I have met in a long time. Even when they are swamped, they take the time with each customer to make their experience a good one. I recommend Sugar and Spice 100%.

Dont try to order a strawberry mouse cake around the holidays the owner will yell at you saying I have 700 customers and I cant do it, when you tell the owner there is no need to yell he will say I am just trying to make sure you understand. I am pretty sure you dont need to yell at people to make them understand then he says have a nice day and hangs up on you. I have ordered 4 cakes from this shop in the past 2 months. He has lost my business forever. Bad decision to make buddy.

Ive been buying cakes from S&S for the 3 yrs and have never ever had an issue! I bought cakes from Fredericks, Klemms and none compare to S&S. Even after 3 days of purchase the cake is still pretty fresh!! The cakes are delish and weve tried many different flavors! The assorted slices of cakes are just as yummy! Im suprised that the phanton gourmet hasnt visited this shop!! Im very pleased with the service and the quality of cakes and desserts!! AAAAAAAAA++++++++++

I called on a saturday morning for a whipped cream cake... last minute... was able to picked within a couple of hours... and OMG!!! It was soooo moist, the whipped cream was perfect! A little expensive but so worth it.... definately will go there again!!!!

The Lobster Tail is one of the best--all details taken into consideration: filled with real cream, and really, carefully filled! The crust is perfect. The shops pride. The shops owner is knowledgeable and nice, and so is everybody working there.

Light. Creamy. Decadent. Heavenly. Best bakery in the area. Dont fall for the fake cakes from the departmental stores. This is the real deal. As long as we were in that area this is the only place we trusted for pastries. Tiramisu is the best.

Best quality, best taste. So fresh, so reach in flavor. Nothing comes even close. I know cause I tried everything in nearby towns. The owner Brian is so friendly. I have to have their cakes for each of my family birthdays. Strongly recommend.
