This place used to be a go-to for great quality and inexpensive steaks and other grill food but my recent experiences have led me to question my loyalty. In two of the last five instances the bartender/cook was visibly drunk, forgetting most of the orders taken and serving food/steaks that were immediately returned for being made without regard to doneness. To be fair, in both cases this would have been a somewhat challenging affair, having to juggle the bar and grill, so when my food came out cold, I let it slide. In all of these visits, even when the place was well staffed, the food was served with seemingly no seasoning whatsoever and was extremely bland. This was noted by others that I was with. All were disappointed. If the owners or management do ever read this, what used to set this place apart from other bars in the area was the great, well-prepared and served food along with cold, cheap beer. Currently, this place is just another dive-bar with a menu. In the menu, a lot is done, but nothing is done well.

My boyfriend and I just had the worst experience here and Ill never recommend it. We sat down, ordered fried mushrooms and Tea. We were brought one tea because they had to brew more, which was fine. Our fried mushrooms came out in a timely manner, and the waitress took our order. We finished our teas and mushrooms, waiting patiently for our order to come and or her to come refill our tea. After about a half hour, I noticed her talking to the cook whom was sitting at the bar smoking a cigarette. Our order was never put in or made. Needless to say, after paying our small tab we left. Never again.

Liked it..... Steak was delicous. Margarita was super tasty....It is a small hidden little place. Waitress was friendly. Now why did they not get the 5th star?? When we first walked in we were not sure about any menu or sitting yourself down. Fourtunaley, I seen a friend there that explained it to me...... It would not hurt to put the menu on a one pager and set it on the tables! Kind of wierd staring over other tables trying to read a white board, and please get some new table covers.

As I am writing this we are sitting im the bar and we asked the waitress for our tab like ten minutes ago and she acted like she totally forgot. We had to remind her. Other than that the food was great, hot and fresh! The service could be better. They also seem like the favor regulars rather than new people. Only reason I gave it a four out of five. Overall it was a okay experience. Bathrooms were clean. Its also 6:35 pm on a saturday, so not to many people.

We drove from Troy Mo. There were 6 of us Our waitress Kathy was very attentive and helpful, she answered any questions we had. This was our first time eating here and the Ribeye steaks WERE DELICIOUS! Years ago when we were all younger we used to come there and drink and walk home to Powell Terrace. Back then the Beer was good, Today the food was superb! We will be back, the drive was well worth it. Thank you!

We were just passing through and found The Pine Room on Google maps. It was great. Nice, quaint little place. My steak was amazing, and my husband said his fish was great as well. Service was really friendly and fast. Just be prepared. Its kind of in a residential area, so we almost missed it. Just minutes off of I 70, and well worth the stop!

The Pine Room is a small neighborhood bar that happens to also be a great place to get a bite. Friendly bartenders & very good food. Specialties are the steaks & the burgers. Daily lunch/dinner and drink specials. Just remember that around happy hour and again late, the emphasis is on bar, not restaurant.

I love the Pine Room, it is the only light of sunshine in my life. The burgers are awesome, the mushroom burger is epic delicious. The place is nice and the bartenders are really nice girls. You should go and have a beer on Thursdays and Fridays, only one dollar!

Best steak around on Wed and Thursday its only 10.95! Great cocktails friendly staff. Try the beef jerkey! Homemade with thick cuts of sirloin steak. Its fantastic!

Its a time warp to the early 20th century. Very old school and simple. If your nose sticks way high in the air, dont bother. Its too far below you.
