Overall, a great experience. It very interesting to read about the history of Red Wagon. You can tell with the quality of their food and service that they try to keep the values that made them a neighborhood favorite in this current business. The pizzas come in one size that is perfect for 2-3 people. We split a pizza and that was just about perfect for two adults. What was nice was afterwards, we didnt feel disgusting. Often times when you have pizza that has sub par ingredients, you feel sub-par after finishing. Not here. They have top notch ingredients. The sauce is semi-sweet, but spicy with a nice taste. The cheese tastes fresh and "real" (if thats a thing). When I try a new pizza place, I try to get one or no toppings so I can get a feeling for what the big three (sauce, cheese, and dough) taste like. Those three ingredients make for a one of the best pizzas Ive had to date. Its nice to dine at a restaurant that values the quality of the food and a customer experience. Not once did our glasses go empty with water, and we were greeted right away upon arrival. You can tell that everyone takes pride in what their doing. The atmosphere is darker and a bit "modern", but you wouldnt feel out of place with shorts and a t-shirt. They have a nice patio that Im sure is hopping during the summer months - although they do have heaters that help when it gets a bit nippy out. For adult beverages, they have a big rotating list of beers that often times compliment something on their menu. A great time mixed with great, high quality food, makes this a place I highly recommend and will be going back to.

My experience started when I called to see if there were tables available. I was told there were available tables outside and no need to make a reservation. Once I arrived I was told there would be a 20 minute wait. I waited at the bar, where there is a large selection of beers. I noticed there was an open table on the patio and to my surprise the table was given to a party who arrived after me and my party. I asked the host why another party was given the table when I arrived prior to them. I was first told that they had a reservation, but when I questioned this further I was then told that that party was an investor, so they got the table before me. I then had to wait another 15 minutes for a table. So, now my wait was 35 minutes for a table I was told on the phone there would be no wait for. The service wasnt great and the pizza over priced and mediocre. So the moral of the story if you want to be treated like trash, sold over priced pizza, but have a nice over priced beer this is the place for you!!

Our whole family went here for supper last night, since weve heard so many good things about Red Wagon Pizza. We tried the Bahn Mi, the Margherita, and the Red Wagon pizza. The Red Wagon pizza was the best one we tried. The wait staff was friendly, prompt, and helpful. Everyone enjoyed watching the pizza dough get tossed during preparation. Four stars for doing a great job, but there are better pizzas available in the Twin Cities. Note to visitors from Detroit: the Detroit pizza is their take on Detroit pizza, its not the thick crust variety we call Detroit pizza.

This is now my #1 favorite pizza place in the Cities. And if you like beer... they have an incredible tap beer selection too. Always an opportunity to try something new. The pizza is top notch, thin crust wood-fired pizza. Our family favorite is the Red Wagon with peppers on only half for the kiddo. The Caesar Salad is also great. The ONLY downside is that it gets pretty loud inside when the place is full; in the summer the patio is the place to sit. Kid friendly, great staff and some interesting menu items too. GO here.

Incredibly rude service. Refused to seat us until whole party arrived even though lots of seats available. Ended up standing outside in the rain with kids while we waited. Once everybody arrived, we were told it would be a 30 minute wait even though they had tables. I felt like they didnt care. They said i should talk to the owner so i waited another 5 minutes and they came back and said the owner was busy and asked if i wanted to wait for a table. We didnt wait because we felt so disrespected.

This Pizza Restaurant is not only have a fantastic food, but also care about the customer. We went there the first week when they opened, and we fell in love with them right away. The other day, Ive realized that our take out order was missing one Pizza(we order 6 pizza,s but they gave us 5), they were sincerely apologetic, and gave us two free pints of beers, $20 gift certificate, and the free appetizer. Red Wagon is our default and favorite Pizza restaurant.

Great pizza with a "neighborhood" feel. Every time I come here I feel like Im in on the secret, that Im part of a club of people allowed in to enjoy fantastic and unique pizzas while the service makes me feel like Im their most important customer. I love that there is such a diverse group of people eating out and working at this local gem!

The pizza was great and the beer selection was also big with some of the better craft beers that I like and some I have not had. We met the owner and the service was quick and friendly. Logically with a great place there is a risk of a line though. Plan accordingly, but you will not be disappointed if you go.

Great service and pizza. We came as a large group on a fairly busy Saturday night. I thought we would have to wait for 20-30 minutes, but we were seated after only a few minutes. The staff was helpful and courteous. The pizza is great, especially the specialities. A nice neighborhood feel to the restaurant.

Some of the rudest kitchen staff I have ever encountered. Bizzar rudeness receiving a delivery at 6PM on a Saturday when distributer was obviously their last option when they failed to keep an eye on inventory. The lack of gratitude for solving their emergency was vomit enducing. Bad vibes.

Great pizza and a tremendous and passionate beer selection. The indoor seating is a little limited but their patio is large and great for informal get togethers. A very traditional beer and pizza joint, not an extensive menu, though, and no kids menu, if thats of consequence.

The best beer list in southwest Minneapolis! Amazing food -more than just pizza. We tried their skillets -one with chicken and sausage and the other with beef cheeks. Both were hearty and delicious. Atmosphere and service excellent. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Delightful environment with friendly, efficient staff and pizzas that are truly wonderful. The owner and his wife met us personally and explained some of the history of his family that led him to begin his own pizza parlor. All around excellent experience.

Amazing pizza. Had the bahn mi and redwoods bbq pizzas - hard to top the flavors of the bahn mi. Good beer selection. Only thing that could be improved is waiting times. Was there on a slow Saturday and it was a bit of a wait for our food to arrive.
