First and last time at trivia night. We went to this bar specifically for the trivia . We were a little late, and missed the first couple of questions, but the person running the event was very understanding and let us catch up. We ended up winning both the first and second round, and tied for the third.. Upon asking the waitress what the prize was for winning trivia, she informed us it was a free round of drinks (maximum 4) per round won of trivia. We had already paid our tab by this point, and were delighted to have two more drinks before we left. However, the bartender was reluctant to give us any of our free drinks, and eventually just agreed to one round of drinks. He asserted that we "missed the call to see your server" even though that phrase was never used by the person running the event, and the server was constantly checking on us. Other bars are willing to commit to $75.00+ in prizes for trivia nights. This bar wouldnt even spend the cost of 4 extra drinks to patrons who spent hours in their bar (drinking and eating the whole time) who were brought in just for the trivia. We wont be bringing our group here again.

I can only speak for happy hour as we have never ordered off of their regular menu. Just recently they switched their happy hour deals and they still tend to beat many local places. The biggest plus, and the reason I give them 4 and not 3 stars, is that the happy hour goes until 7pm. The drinks are half off so most craft pints are $2.75 which is great. The food selection is also not bad, onions rings are fresh and crispy, boneless wings are better than what you will find at most chain restaurants and the misc. items have never been bad enough to note. Overall, you get what you pay for. Diveish bar, atmosphere is kind of lacking (never really anyone in there on weeknights for dinner) but the prices are good and if you are looking for some standard bar food it is the place to go!

Dive bar atmosphere with terrible food at well above-average prices. We ordered the 20 oz beer special (advertised all over the bar) and received 12oz cups. When we inquired about the discrepancy we were told they were out of the 20 oz cups. No accommodation was offered, instead we were just charged the 20 oz price for our 12 oz beers. Then when our food arrived, 45 minutes after ordering, it was cold and awful. Not even acceptable for "bar food". This, despite the fact that their prices are about %25 more than surrounding restaurants which serve fantastic "from scratch" food. To top it off, our server was rude and the whole place smelled like a musty barn. Cant stay far enough away from Legends.

Our Bloody Marys came without shrimp. Our friends came without pickles. Our server was apologetic and said shed bring shrimp but never did. My husbands Chicken and Waffles were pathetic- the waffle was tiny and the chicken was essentially a chicken finger. The yolks of my eggs in my Eggs Benedict were cooked hard. Waited to eat it so I could tell the server, but we didnt see her for 20+ minutes, and I finally got hungry and ate it anyways. Mentioned it when she came to pick up our plates, and she said shed tell the kitchen staff, but we were still charged for the full price of our mediocre meal. A disappointing meal to say the least. We wont be returning.

Perfect place to cure a hangover. Tasty breakfast food, college-aged waitresses, and good seating options (AC indoors at the bar and tables or shaded outdoor seating on the patio). Food was comparable to perkins, but the atmosphere was laid back. Went with a group of 8 or so for Bloodys and breakfast. I could tell one family and some couples were getting annoyed with my loud and often obscene party, but the waitress still treated us with respect. The prices typical (similar to a Perkins). Havent eaten any lunch or dinner here but I assume its respectable. Location is great for those on the north "outskirts" of dinkytown.

Bar and grill on the edge of Northeast Minneapolis. Whats really legendary about this place is their bloody marys - not necessarily the highest quality in the Twin Cities, but great for chasing hangovers. The food is of decent quality and moderate price. Theres plenty of TVs if you want to watch sports, as well as a patio with a gas fireplace. On the weekends theres (sometimes?) a live DJ and in the basement; sometimes its packed, other times not. All in all a pretty casual place.

I live almost next door to this place and am still not tired of the food. Hit up the happy hour or 2-fer-1s on saturday night for a great deal. I have tried almost everything on the menu and have not been disappointed yet. Hands down the best "bar" food Ive ever had. Try the artichoke chicken quesadilla and the seasoned waffle fries! Service is typically slow but has gotten better over the last year. Avoid the rail rum, it tastes like soap!

I went here one time with my mother and her friend, I ordered a cheeseburger, nothing to special and they come with these waffle fries they tasted so good. I could of swore I ate mine and my moms. But the place was really nice the staff was polite and friendly. WE sat at the tall table right when you walk in, sort of by the bar. We all had a good time laugh ing and whatnot, WE had a very good time here at Legends Bar & Grill.

Got a rueben to go after seeing 2 of my friends share one.. it looked really good piled with meat and they were raving about it.. Extremely disappointing.. got home and way way way to much dressing on it and the meat was almost non existent.. so feel like I wasted $20 on a sandwich and an ice tea and there is still half a sandwich left and I dont even think I want to finish the Thousand Island Dressing Sandwich..

I was COMPLETELY unimpressed with Legends. Their service waitresses stand around when you need them, I mean they entirely ignore that you are there. They left our empty plates on the table for more than an hour without asking us for another round. The bouncers are a$$ holes. I will never go back to this bar, its sad that I had to give it a one star... this place doesnt deserve any.

Incredibly average. Drink specials are average with rotating special, their draft selection is adequate, their wings are nothing to write home about, service is good, decor, cleanliness and over all ambiance are OK. If you are looking for a place to waste some time you are in luck, come on in and have an average time with average food and average drinks.
