Went here with a friend and came for lunch. I got the corn beef sandwich and my friend got corn beef and cabbage. First, onions are not a good flavor with corn beef in my opinion so I ask for it with out. There was also a very coarse mustard what basically consisted of mustard seed, whole ones and not much of anything else, but when the food came after about 45 minutes, and the restaurant was empty mind you, it had onions on it. I commented to our waitress who was rather rude about it 'um, okay, can you just pick them off' is not something that you say to a customer, especially when it's your mistake for not remembering. So she brought it back. Really fast and it's obvious that they just picked off the onions and put it back together, the mustard as bad as it was, was only on half of the sandwich, and the bread was soggy by the time i had the chance to eat it.
It was a poor experience which I hope to never relive, next time I feel like irish fare, I'm going to check out Coopers.
Had the waitress not been so painfully difficult and rude to deal with, i might consider going again at dinner.
But really, give anyplace a second shot. Yeah in a perfect world, they would have their a-game every day. But if you got and it sucks twice in a row? That's a poor business and management situation. Unhappy workers simply don't make great restaurants, they can be ok but I'm unimpressed and never going back. If you eat here for some reason, I hope you have a better experience.
Just read how inconsistent the ratings are, in the restaurant business, if you are not consistent, you lose business.

Got to Kips at 9:54 the waitress asked us what we wanted I told her we would like to order Bloody Marys she told me that they dont serve alcohol till 10 a.m. I looked at my phone and the time was 9:56 I said I think I will wait she said are you sure you want to wait she was also very abrupt and rude about it to me and my buddy . At the bar the time was now 10:22 no Bloody Marys in sight so we decided to leave ,as we walked out she said wait I finally have them . So I decided to stay. the Bloody Marys are okay there was no alcohol inside the Bloody Marys if anything a half a shot and I also say the food was very subpar was nothing that I could have whipped up in the morning and the kitchen myself. And Im not even sure if the people that were making the Bloody Marys in the morning and if they even had a bartender I was qualified to make them overall. Experiences but me and my buddy out we dont get a lot of time to hang out and all we wanted was a God damn good Bloody Mary. Ill be going back to Coopers to get them.

We gathered here with a large (11 person) group to celebrate a birthday. The fish and chips were very good (Friday during Lent). The main problem we had was that we were seated very close to the musician. He was good, but the music was cranked up WAY too loud for sitting that close, and we had to practically shout to hear each other. On the positive side, we were given 3 free desserts to compensate for the fact that our table took a few minutes to be ready (despite having a reservation). The desserts were delicious!! Id come again, but definitely ask to be farther from any live music.

Ordered the corned beef and cabbage, side salad and flourless chocolate torte which was delivered to my job. Everything arrived promptly, tasted amazing. I loved the generous portion of corned beef and the dessert was decedant. My two concerns were that my meal had a small hair in it ( I removed that portion of my meal and threw away) and most of the meal arrived in styrofoam. There are too many healthier options to use styrofoam anymore. Overall, I understand that things happen in food prep so I will give them another chance because the food taste and quality was excellent.

Pretty fun place to go with friends, but really expensive. I ended up paying out over $30 for two beers and a plate of fish and chips. However, our server was really, really helpful and very patient with out large group. In fact, when our meals took too long, the management threw in some complimentary desserts. I thought very highly of that! P.s. the beers are served European style! This means that they are slightly under room temperature, no frosted glasses or anything. Great for actually tasting your beer. This is a turn-on for some, and a no-go for others.

Fish and chips was delicious, as was the Shepards pie. House speciality drinks were undrinkable. Tried both the two ginger and the pear martini. Martini was so strong that it burned my mouth even in small sips and lacked any pear taste. Rather potent taste of cinnamon and the burn of hard liquor. Tasted like a combo of vodka and fireball. The two ginger was like a flavorless, alcoholic sparkling water. Service was ok. All in all food was great with good portions but drinks were awful and service was nothing to write home about .

Was there with My family for a Retirement party, the kids got hungry and we waited to be seated at a table for over 20 minutes (Didnt looked busy). (Asked Why?! & A Blonde Waitress said because they were too Busy ...) Finally at a table waited over 40 minutes to get some water, I finally lost my Good Mood and requested Help; an Amazing Server = Miguel (tall, tan & Nice) very politely finally was able to bring us Food and drinks and We enjoyed a Great Service thanks to Him !!! (Food could use MORE flavor)

Kips is always fun. Being a part of Marriott you can party all night and stay over, no need to drive. Rooms are nice and the indoor pool is very relaxing as is the spa. The food is Irish! the bar is Irish! In fact the whole bar was imported from Ireland! There are at least a dozen Irish beers on tap and I have never seen so many great Irish whiskeys. While the food is Irish its made just a little healthier than youd get in Ireland. But that doesnt mean it is great because it is.

Awful. Service was non-existent; food was mediocre; and worse: When realizing how bad of service they had provided, they offered to cover an item on the bill, which they did - a single beer, which was the lowest cost thing on the bill. We had a $25 gift certificate, which when we used to pay part of the bill, they re-added the beer back on the bill, then only honored $20 of the certificate. No apologies were made and our server conveniently avoided us. What a lousy experience.

They messed up the reservation for my rehearsal dinner and then still made my father-in-law pay fo the drink tickets. They tried to shove the 25 adults into a space meant for 15. They had a party of 50 in the room I reserved back in November and must have shuffled us to the small room because a bigger reservation came along. We ended up going to COOPER in the West End, which was awesome! They were super friendly and accomdating!!

Definitely what other people have said--happy hour is "ok" at best, as the overall experience is much more catered to the certain clientele of the guests that stay at the hotel. I feel like if Kips is going to market their happy hour to bring in a broader crowd theyll have to overhaul the happy hour experience--especially the draft beer menu where $12 mixed beer drinks are right next to the happy hour specials.
