I have eaten at Old Village Café several times and consider the food good and the wait staff friendly. However I have to rate my comment so I picked disliked based on my recent visit to the Café. The reason was that I paid with my credit card and was charged an administration fee when my card was ran through the machine. I questioned it with the waitress and she commented on how I was a smart person for seeing it and that the bank charges it because it was a new machine. I found out this is not completely true. It is the business that decides to charge a fee and can trickle it down to the customer to pick up the cost. It was not a bank fee but an administration fee. The waitress said if we pay in cash no extra charge. Your Customers keep you in business. Perhaps a small sign at check out would be a good business decision and we can choose our method of payment or tell us before hand.

Been here a number of times, usually a good experience. My last visit was different. Server seemed to be bothered to be there...food was served, no asking if we needed anything else, she dropped the check on the table and no return from her at all. No refill of the coffee, no nothing...we sat right by the cash register. All of the servers passed by us numerous times. I watched our server with others also and she seemed like she wanted to be elsewhere. Food was ok, even tho one order was not as ordered.

Terrible service! Waitress gave me a dirty look and pouted about my 5 yr old sons request for a mixed soda. then took forever to give those drinks to us. Then ignored my request for a refill. Employees seemed more interested in chatting with the locals than doing their jobs. Food was nothing special definitely a Costco/GFS restaurant. Small portions too. Will never eat there again. Warning everyone I know also.

Great eggs, bacon and American potatoes! Bacon was meaty. All were tasty and came to the table cooked exactly as I ordered them. Large portions for a reasonable price. The restaurant was very busy, yet service was timely. Why only 4 stars? The quality of the coffee means as much to me as the quality of the food. In my opinion the decaf coffee was weak. It didnt have a good taste.

By far my favorite place to eat! Been coming here for breakfast for years. The food is awesome, and the staff is great! I usually try to go on Dawns days since shes been our waitress from the beginning. Shes very personable and remembers your usual order after the first few visits... all in all its a clean, friendly atmosphere and the food/service both are exceptional!

WOW, about sums it up for me. What a great place. I was cheerfully and warmly greeted as I walked in from the snowy cold. I found the servers to be very friendly and attentive. The food was great no fantastic. I give Old Village Cafe a 5 star rating, only because there are no more stars left to use. Summing it up, great food, great service and great ambiance.

Staff is friendly and the food is always good! They have a great selection for breakfast lunch and dinner - I had pork chops and eggs for breakfast. It came with two chops, two eggs, American fries, and toast. However, when its busy the restaurant gets crowded quick.

5 Stars ***** The Old Village Cafe has the best breakfast food, the atmosphere is friendly, and it is cozy. We try to make it here every week. And we frequently recommend family and friends to this friendly hometown cafe.

Friendly place with great food. We are always warmly welcomed when we go. The specials offered are delicious. The prices are very good as well. We like the old fashioned ambiance in the small downtown of clarkston too.

Average food. Come on......how hard is it to cook a good breakfast? Much rather stay home and have a tasty breakfast. Been here a couple times and have never eaten anything that would make me want to come back.

A good place for breakfast. It was incredibly crowded when we visited. We ended up waiting outside for a good 15 minutes. Next time I dont think Ill be inclined to wait that long. Glad I went though.

Great Family Restaurant! Best waitstaff I have encountered at any Restaurant. They make you feel at home. Food is amazing and are huge portions. Two thumbs up! Well worth my drive from West Bloomfield!
