Ive actually been working at Tasi for almost two months now, and so I guess Im not really an impartial source; but I just have to say that I love this place. There are a few reasons: 1) Warm, friendly atmosphere, with great music and sweet decor - I absolutely love everybody I work with. Its a great group of people - and we love our customers! 2) Crazy healthy and delicious food/smoothies, which I enjoy eating myself whenever I get the chance. Sometimes when you work in the food biz, and you know everything that goes on backstage, you end up not wanting to eat anything in your place. But its definitely not like that at Tasi...everything is actually fresh and healthy and clean and all of that. And tasty. Super tasty. 3) AMAZING COFFEE/ESPRESSO. This is a new thing for us, and we have this coffee guru who knows more about coffee than I even thought it was possible to know. Its all locally roasted and ground-to-order, and we just got this really awesome new espresso machine, and...ok, just come in and get a cappucino, with a little amarettini on the side, and youll know what Im talking about. Im just saying, come in and check us out. Were pretty sweet.

I have been fortunate to have eaten many times in what are considered the finest raw food restaurants in the country, mostly in the LA and San Francisco areas. The main dishes I have had here so far--the burrito and the Mexican salad--rank up there with these famous raw meccas in terms of taste, density of food (how filling it is), and how I feel afterwards. The smoothies and desserts Ive sampled--the raw banana split and the peanut butter bar--were similarly exceptional, and the staff radiate warmth, passion about their food and their restaurant, and positivity. The only thing I wasnt as huge a fan of was the raw juice I got--not bad by any stretch, but not quite as exceptional on the taste factor. But trust me--Cacao Tree is a real find, and one metro Detroiters are exceedingly lucky to have in this area. Im not recommending that you go to support any raw-food or green-living agenda. I say go to be completely selfish and chow down on some great-tasting food that makes you feel great. Cacao Tree Cafe will quite simply give you an incredibly satisfying dining experience.

I own a small local Michigan business myself known as The Carpet Guys so I am familiar with the importance of great customer care and the value of delivering a great product. Happily I think the folks over at Cacao Tree Cafe do amazing at BOTH. I enjoy walking in there and the friendly atmosphere where they all great me with a happy tone and warming smile. They really make me feel like I am at home and the food is incredible. I am not a vegan however, I have been eating vegan recently since it has helped me with my skin allergies. I never thought I would enjoy all natural Un processed foods but between the great food and amazing attitudes of the people working here, I have become a regular and am very happy I stumbled upon this absoulte gem of a place to eat lunch.

Today was my first time at this Cafe and OMG I am so impressed with the food I ordered it was so good. I actually found this place because I was looking for a place that sold vegan smoothies near me and this one popped up and I went to the website to look at all the different kinds of smoothies they have, and Ive been wanting to go there ever since then. So today I finally went and didnt even order a smoothie I ordered a burrito and it was the tastiest vegan burrito Ive ever had. I also tried their creamy potato and Kale soup it was also good i just need to add a little salt that all. I would definitely recommend this place if youre looking for vegan foods that are very flavorful. i think I need to go back tomorrow for a smoothie.

I have a friend who is mostly a raw food vegetarian, has eaten here many times and loves it. I joined here and a friend for lunch and they were each getting a second mango dessert when I came and raved about it. I have a lot of food restrictions and the staff was extremely helpful in going over the items to help me find something that would suit my needs. They do have some vegetarian cooked soups and I settled on a squash soup that was excellent. I decided on a falafel sandwich. It was good sized and seemed quite fresh but the falafel was kind of bitter. I wouldnt have that again but would definitely go back and give it another try.

Godmode. They make the beautiful decor hardwood. I think Im going to bring my own blanket. If you eat here while you work you will get everything done. Cacao Tree Cafe is a great source for raw food. I spent one day here and holy cow, so many healthy people came in. Morning and evening staff have great attitudes and seem to enjoy their jobs. Everyone is so friendly. Than k you Cacao Tree Cafe.

This is a very nice, small, European style, funky place. I recommend going there if you prefer individualism over franchise. I appreciate the alternative menu. Food and beverages are fresh, healthy, and well-presented. Price is justified. The staff is utterly friendly and accommodating.

Nice friendly staff, they were very helpful as Im new to raw foods. Decent selection of food, lots of smoothies some people said its small. Its a mostly raw, vegan restaurant. This isnt LA or NYC. It would be stupid to have a huge space and empty. Definitely, worth the price.

Amazing food for those that seek ultra healthy food and drink. Amber has created an amazing menu of organic raw vegan meals and smoothies that will ensure repeat visit from any vegetarian. Staff goes above and beyond with customer service with tons of personality. Enjoy!

I had the Flu and Cold tonic (12 oz) and a cup of green split pea soup. Like most raw foods, it was very filling. The staff are friendly and we chatted about the vegan lifestyle. I hadnt thought if it as a lifestyle, but I suppose that it is.

Great service, delicious raw vegan food. My friend got the General Tsao Salad and I got the quesadilla. All ingredients were fresh and well prepared. It was my first time doing a wheat grass shot. An experience I would recommend!

I enjoy the grass that they blend for me. Ive already lost 20 lbs with their wheat grass. If you dont want them to do it for you, you can buy a tray!

Lots of great healthy food and drink options and friendly staff. Im not even vegan, and the vegan burrito is one of the best burritos Ive had.
