I hate to be the one to say this but I just had the worst 17 and a half sandwich Ive ever order from bread basket and Ive been a customer for over 15 years. it was supposed to be a 17 and a half on an onion roll grilled... it ended up look a rye bread sandwich. my bread was smashed it was flipped over like a rye bread sandwich. I was on my way back in to have them remake it but then i saw the onions in the bottom portion of the sandwich. the purpose of me ordering it on an onion roll and having it grill so I can have a corned beef sandwich on a toasted onion roll not a smashed up imitation rye bread sandwich. I wont even get started on the sandwich being cold because at least four people got their food ahead of me that came in after me, so i had a smashed up, cold imitation rye bread sandwich. I will be honest i will never order from the Livonia location again.

Employee were very nice an friendly. I have had many cornbeef sandwiches but that was not so good. Very dry pickles were old. I witness the manager asking an employee "what is that on the floor"? Instead of just picking it up herself. Phone was ringing and manager just stood there. Second manager pick up phone and told customer hang on let me get someone to take your order. Why i ask " why couldnt you just take the order"? Been in the business for over 25 years and this place needs a more caring management team who wants to work and be a team player. It was a let down for the most part..

The portion sizes are enormous! You need to go here with a big appetite. The corned beef on the Rueben sandwich is full of flavor and very tender. Also, Debbie’s Supreme was very tasty. However, my favorite is the united meats. The macaroni salad, fried onion rings & mushroom barley soup are delicious! I have also had the potato salad, deep fried mushrooms & pickles that were mediocre and would not order again. Definitely a great deli joint for lunch!

Im not a corned beef fan, but every other sandwich Ive had, especially the pastrami, has been absolutely amazing. Be sure to ask for toasted bread next time you order. The pickles are a nice touch and with an ice cold can of pop and some Better Mades added, you cant lose. The staff are more concentrated on the days prep and filling orders, so dont expect small talk. After your first bite though, youll be back. A++++++

Sandwich was wrong. First time it was made incorrect. Second time onion roll was put on toasted inside up. Causing a soggy mess. Update. I just tried to order a sandwich. And was told it would be at least an hour before they could get to my order. They have just lost a customer. I will never give this location another dime. At least the Redford location cares about their customers.

With all due respect the customer service here is the worst Ive ever experienced. The incompetent rude hood rats taking orders need to climb back into the sewers from which they came. do your self a favor and hire someone young girls with some positive energy. the food is good but your current help makes me lose my appetite.

The sandwiches are huge. You definitely get your moneys worth. I paid approximately $12 for my sandwich. Its a very small place. You might be more comfortable getting your order to go. They also have cake and the slices are huge. They have cold cans of pop also. Everything that you need to compliment your meal is here.

I got a 17.5 it was a decent sandwich but the service was terrible. The young lady at counter never raised her head out of her hand while taking my order. Manager need to teach workers to be more courteous to costumers. PS there is one slightly order women thats not always there who treat people right.

I enjoy the food made here. The workers are never in good mood though. I like the roast beef, always juicy and thinly cut here, completely delicious. The fries are also a good part of meal, as well as onion rings. If I had money and were able to I could eat here about almost every day.

Placed and order for two Cornbeef sandwiches, one with no russian dressing, and a order of fries. The fries were not done, and the apparently they dont take direction well they added russian dressing and mustard to the sandwich that I requested no dressing. $28 wasted.

Great corned beef. I had the corned beef & slaw on rye and it was awesome. Huge sandwich. Not the cleanest place in the world, I got my sandwich to go. They could definitely use a renovation. Also, they are now open on Sundays 12-8pm.

Staff was rude, unprofessional, slow and got my order mixed up with someone elses order. The place looks FILTHY inside. I have been going to the one on 8 mile for years but this one is terrible, avoid at all costs

The corned beef I had today was tough, and the bread was hard as ever! The cashier was rude, did not smile or speak. Never again will I ever eat at this place! Asian corned beef puts them too shame.

If you dont like the 17 1/2 at Bread Basket you dont know a good sandwich!! Best in Detroit and Ive tried most of them. Great food and a staple in the community as far as Im concerned.

Would be perfect if it were cleaner. 6-13-17. It only took 8 minutes on hold before they actually took my order. By that time I was standing in front of them. Smh

The corned beef is great but this place is pricey. Call ahead at lunch and dinner time to avoid waiting in line because theyre usually busy at those times.
