4 and a half stars! Its been about 3 years since a Golden Corral opened in Flint. I eat there often and the food has always been great. Theres always a variety of food choices so if I dont like something I can always get something else. Its always crowded too which is a good sign that others like to eat there too. It also means that the food will be hot and fresh and in constant supply. The restaurant is located along a stretch of road that some people have dubbed Restaurant Row. There is lots of competition for your hard earned dollars so the food has to be good or else it wouldnt be so crowded all the time. I highly recommend it when youre hungry and dont know exactly what you want to eat. Or maybe you just dont want to cook. The price is reasonable considering what you have to pay for just to get a burger and fries nowadays! For a few bucks more you can have a feast! Ive read a few bad reviews of other GCs. I never trust a 1 star review since some people just cant be pleased or they write bogus reviews because they werent treated like Kings and Queens when they arrived 15 minutes before closing time. So what if you have to wait a few minutes for a steak cooked to your preference? If you hate waiting in line then go to a conventional Steak House! If you hate having to walk 10 feet to get a plate and eating utensils then you need to know what a buffet is. And I know that some places couldnt possibly be as bad as some of the comments stated. Or else customers would find some place else to eat and ultimately the business would fold. All businesses have occasional staff problems too (absences due to sickness, death in the family, lateness, scheduling conflicts, firings ) so such instances can be an issue for patrons from time to time. Ive seen it too and its annoying but its a fact of life. Servers rely on tips. If your service is less than expected dont tip them well and then tell them why! If the service is poor or the eatery is dirty, complain to the management -- NOT the cashier! If you write a bad review at least tell us where it is located so that we can avoid it if its consistently filthy. And the last resort is to call the board of health and complain!

Corral is right, felt like cattle trying to walk around in this over crowded restaurant. I wish I could give less than 1 star.... While the food was actually surprising not as bad as I expected based on previous reviews I did notice a major issue with layout and logistics. They basically took the same terrible layout that Fire Mountain had when they were in the same building and reused it. The food layout also makes very little sense like previous reviews mentioned. The shrimp is on the other side of the restaurant as the cocktail sauce which makes no sense. There are also signs right in front of your face when trying to get a steak. Be prepared to stand around for 5 minutes if you want one because they somehow had none ready. Also, the silverware is in one central location instead of separating out silverware and plates throughout the buffet area (like how Old Country Buffet does). This makes it incredibly annoying to have to walk all the way back to the same spot, especially when it is right in the main corridor for everyone in the restaurant to walk through. The staff in the restaurant had a general demeanor of apathy and seemed to ignore my piled up plates until I was almost ready to leave. I also ran out of something to drink and the waitress was nowhere to be found, so I had to walk all the way back up to the front entrance with the rest of my family to get drinks. I would NOT recommend anyone go to this restaurant.

This was our first time here, and will be the last! We walked in, and got our drinks first? I thought that was very odd.. Made it to the cashier, and a lady walks up while Im paying for our food, and tells the cashier that the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting, that there was a lady who walked out and wouldnt even use the bathroom, it was that bad! This should have been my first clue to turn around and go to OCB instead. As we walked to go seat ourselves, we couldnt find anywhere to sit, because all the tables were piled of dirty dishes.. We walked around the entire restaurant 2 times, before finding somewhere decent to sit, and still there was food all over the floor under our table, just gross! The buffet was VERY disorganized! The food looked horrible, and tasted the same! Runny mashed potatoes, no tortillas for the "chicken fajita mix" no steaks ready, pizza under cooked, mac and cheese was watery and gross, nothing was labeled correctly at all.. Wort place I have been in a long long time!! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!

I usually have a decent experience here. I lower my expectations knowing it is an all you can eat buffet so Im not expecting gourmet food and excellent service. This time I saw a man I think named Kevin who I believed to be some sort of manager from the extremely self important was he was talking to people and the fact he was sitting at a table in the middle of the dining room with a ton of paperwork laid across it. He kept pulling employees over to talk to them which was annoying because it blocked the walkway and made it uncomfortable because people were standing right at our table. He kept stirring the food but never did anything about the fact that items like the mac and cheese and the pizza were completely dried out and the grilled items were very badly burnt. I usually let my kids grab a bag of cotton candy on our way out from the dessert area which Im not sure if its frowned upon or not but no one has ever said anything but this guy glares at us the whole time we are.walking out the door.

They got me once but not a second time!! $$$$ 32 for two people and food is not good. Food i ate Bacon first piece was good. They rest was fat and or salty! Steak was good Shrimp not that good Mac and cheese watery Sausage had no flavor. Yes i eat a lot! All the chickens were very over saused The roll was a sour taste Girl at the front desk Alyssa i think. Seemed shortwith responses. Told us to sit and get a drink from our server.... server said the drinks are up front..... the server was a great lady very nice. She was obviously over worked. She had way to many table to her own. One should have like 3 she had what looked like10. Floor was dirty. The people cooking walked by food on the floor.. i saw a piece of watermelon on the floor for all three plates i got.... gross. Th food was so bland and not good. Looked like it was out a bit.... like hours. The cooks are loud and yelling very ub professional. This is sub par for whT they cost 32$ for two people without tip...

Food wasnt the best the popcorn shrimp had a bad after taste, the broccoli wasnt cooked good , mac n cheese watery, steak wasnt good , but expensive as hell for 4 adults and 1 kid better off saving money and eating at McDonalds, Kids throwing rocks at windows and repeat doing it with people telling them to stop and they didnt, shame on to the parents or whoever was responsible for them rotten bad ass kids I hope you take better care of your children and show them from right to wrong or theyll end up corrupted and in jail , smh , kids needa belt to the ass if theyre going to Golden Corral trying to break windows with rocks smh God bless whoevers car got damaged, this is probably the last time I go to Golden Corral, a rank of 1 outta 10, Im very unsatisfied with this place, if you guys are planning somewhere nice to eat for family try Cracker Barell, Great staff , great food and a good decent price ,
