TV Lounge is a great venue. If you like House and Techno, this is the place for you. I dont know what the reviewer who commented on parking was talking about, because there is ALWAYS parking near by. You can park for free on both sides of Grand River and on the surrounding streets if need be. The music is always great, they have regular events and shows with local and international DJs and cover is only like $10. If youre looking for some dance music other than your standard Top 40 teeny bopper bullshit, this is the joint for you. Drinks are a bit pricy here, but I dont go there to drink, so I could care less. The patio on the side of the building is fun, it has a certain "at home in my own back yard" feel. The bathrooms (at least the mens bathroom any way) are clean and tidy, and there is usually a friendly attendant in there keeping it in order. Last, but not least... The staff! The staff is alway super friendly and they always have smiles on their faces (not the security though, that would be kinda weird). The servers and bar tenders are super nice, and they all dig the music usually so they like to have fun and break it down with you every now and then. Check this spot out. Its worth it.

I hope this helps!... the outside of the place looks like garbage, I arrive there and theres no parking for the place.. theres only one row where u can parallel park which is for one a nightmare and 2 only good for about 8,9 cars... so I had to park down some dead end closed off street... ok so I walk in and boom they hit u with a 10 dollar cover!! soo not worth it!! Then I sit at the bar and I orded two drinks, a double shot of vodka and a single shot of vodka with cranberry... the vodkas like some mohawk trash, stuff u can by for like 8 bucks a bottle.. the drinks looked clear as if no cranberry was in there at all... and guess what I got charged!? 18 bucks!!!!!!! I was like whaaaaaat??!!! So I payed and left... ill NEVER go there again... complete rip off!!!

Although it is designed for everyone to check you out as soon as you hit the door, if you like that sort of thing, make sure youre ready to floss when arrive:)!!! Jokes aside, this place is very cool. The name does dictate the one peice of media they are DEFINITELY not short on. The remodel from the older version of this same space is remarkable. I love the almost bucket-style seats at the bar, but the piece-de-resistance in the outdoor space. Very Orange, Very Sexy!!!! The Bartenders are masters of their craft, and happy hour on Saturday is to die for! (call ahead to see if 2-for-1 is still popping off!)

I guess TV bat is the best place for techo parties in Detroit. Especially when party is done by Paxahau promo group. Prices for beer are higher than the average, but place by itself is just great! Coffy sofas in front of DJ scene are awesome! There are mainly two rooms in TV bar - red one and blue one.

My favorite bar! Love the tall sci-fiish seating at the bar. Awesome outside patio where they have live music. So much fun. Brings in all sorts of age groups and different styles and types of people. A must go for everyone who is chill and likes to have a good time
