Went here for Sunday mid afternoon and had seafood platter, it was $10.50. Menu says oysters but they substituted smelt. This is a truck stop restaurant, with no trucks. Nothing wrong with truck stops if the food is good. The chairs are ripped, salad bar was ok but nothing remotely special and restrooms are just plain scary. We probably should have done breakfast but we tried to get real food. I would recommend this for farmers who wanted a breakfast or maybe a burger but there are many choices in Chelsea that have to be a better choice. Call Restaurant Impossible right away.

Known for its stiff drinks and getting "Stiverized" this place lives up to its reputation. Its not a fancy place at all but they make very strong drinks and the food is decent. Theyre priced very low for the area theyre in. It can get pretty lively in there sometimes. Located right off the highway it does seem that it is sometimes a target for State Police cars that sit at the nearby gas station or up the road. Take a designated driver and enjoy yourself. Perfect pit stop if youre traveling to Ann Arbor or Detroit from the west side of the state along I-94.

I agree the drinks are good. Ate on the bar side and got a good burger but ordered a side of deep fried mushrooms and didnt notice that they were $5 for the side. The going price in this area of Mich. is $2.50 to $3.00!! Mind you these are bulk generic mushrooms not hand battered or anything. I also question whether their fryer grease is changed as frequently as it should be. Had adverse side affects. Used to stop here 20 years ago and it was phenomenal. Wont ever stop again!!

The best patty melt in Michigan, amazing fries and on Fridays they have a wonderful clam chowder. Over the years we have been eating here, we have never had a bad meal or poor service. People rave about the fish dinners on Fridays and so do we. Nice breakfast menu also. A non pretentious oasis between the overpriced eateries in Chelsea and Ann Arbor.....Lar & Cecilia, Whitmore Lake Mi.

A wonderful place if you dont want fast food chain chow and would like to relax a bit before you hit the high way again, their burgers are great as are the hot beef sandwhich and Ruebens. If you are looking for a coat and tie experience then this is not for you Stivers is a local greasey spoon bar and grill that just serves good food at a great price with a smile.

Stopped in here for lunch one day. Got sandwich, soup, salad. They had curly fries which were pretty good. Prices were relatively inexpensive. It looked like they had a pretty decent breakfast selection so will probably go back to try it again. Good food for a good value, recommend.

Went there this moron for breakfast at 10am. Understaffed Im assuming. Got my OJ, and still hadnt ordered after 20 min so we left still hungry. And to top it off the frustrated waitress said J.C. next to us. My daughter looked right at me knowing how much I hate those words. Too bad :-(

Went here for breakfast, pancakes were huge fluffy and flavourful. I had a breakfast Skillet it was really really good. The coffee was pretty bad though, seemed like they had used the same grounds for two pots and I got the second pot...But I guess I like my coffee strong.

Very good food. I had the special 10oz steak and baked potato and it was wonderful. It has a simple small salad bar but it was fresh and good. Friendly staff and the owner came out to say hello. Just outside of town but a nice treat.

Two words: Clam Strips. If the only thing youve experienced is the thin, crummy, shoe-string-type Midwest clam strips, lemme tell you this: I aint had clam strips THIS good since the last time I was on the East Coast.

"Ive been Stiverized!". If you go to Stivers for drinks this too can happen to you! :) They have the best (and strongest!) mixed drinks around and the prime rib on Friday and Saturday is AMAZING!
