I didnt have high expectations after reading the other reviews. But we did heed warning and called ahead for reservations. We were seated immediately when we showed up at our reservation time. The staff was super-friendly, our waiter even invited us to walk our 2-year-old around to check out the whole restaurant since we had never been before. The kids menu was all clearly frozen options (we went with dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets and "fresh" fruit which was our only mild disappointment, because it was pre-packed apple slices) BUT, my son LOVED his nuggets, and its usually impossible to get him to eat outside of home because he gets so distracted. My husband and I both really enjoyed our meals. I have a garlic allergy, but thought I would be safe going with the chicken salad. Our waiter immediately notified the chef, who came out to talk to me. When he told me the chicken was marinaded with garlic, he immediately offered to cook a plain piece of chicken and make a single-serving batch of garlic-free chicken salad just for me. (I was SUPER impressed with not only how accommodating Rainforest Cafe is, but the chef was so kind and willing to make adjustments. So my suggestion for anyone else taking littles for the day and concerned about the wait. We went to the aquarium first, walked thru the aquarium, went to the restaurant ordered our food, and then my hubby took my son back to the aquarium for another walk thru while I waited at the table. I texted them to come back when our food arrived, and I had no problem with my little man getting too antsy while waiting. After he finished eating, I walked around the restaurant with him to look at all of the animals. I really cant say enough about the staff! They definitely know how to cater to kids! The food was a little on the pricey side, but for the service and experience, totally worth it as a treat!

AWFULL MYST READ IF GF I have celiac and we had gone to three other places looking for somewhere. I walk in ask about options and they seem super acomidating to my severe allergen restriction. The chef comes out tells me everything I can have and I hear they have gluten free fries because there baked, and a gluten free bun. I feel estatic so I order a cheese burger with fries. My order comes out I double check Im starving and I take a bite fries freezer burnt but it was no big deal, and the burgers are good. Im eating and I taste something really crunchy weird but NBD, it could be the crisp on the bun. I bite some more and its extremely crunchy I open the bun to see a freakin ONION RING. WTF!!!!!! I begin to panick afraid of the illness that might follow. Me and my mother call the waitress over to where she just goes and "asks the chef"! She comes back with a freakin smile on her face and says the chef will make you another burger. I look at her and say "So did the onion ring have gluten?" She looks at me and smiles saying " yes!" With a smile! Are u kidding this isnt a little belly ache this is vomiting diarrhea and being sick for days! Never going there again!m.

Well we never got to eat here because they would not allow us to bring in a stroller.. this is not a family friendly place. I never had an issue with ANY restraurant with allowing strollers.. usually they just move one chair and we put the stroller there, thats it. We have NEVER left our stroller out in the way of other customers and staff..we were also shopping in the mall so of course we had a stroller.. and our little guy is a baby, not a toddler thats capable of even walking or sitting up yet in a high chair. I think by the time we got done arguing with them at the entrance they were going to seat us near the entrance but that was no fun.. we wanted to be by the animals, this place will never get out business and I have never encountered such rude service like this anywhere.. I could understand if most restraurants had a no stroller policy but never been anywhere that did.. I am not going to leave our stroller outside of the place so it can possibly get stolen.. no way! I am going to make sure this gets out there and spreading the word about your terrible customer service and policy!!!

I read reviews before I came here so I was a bit hesitant at first. However, my family and I loved it. The atmosphere was great for kids, the food was very good, and good portion sizes too. Our waitress was very nice and came by to check on us a few times like you would normally expect. Our food was out in about 20 or so minutes, even considering how busy they were! We got lucky and were seated right by the tigers so my daughter really had a blast watching it! Yes the prices are a little bit more than normal but thats because of the experience! The kids meal prices are about the same as Fridays or Applebees and there are alot of choices. The adult menu has a good amount of options and every meal is only $3-6 more than if you were to order it at Applebees or somewhere like that. So its really not as bad as a lot of the reviews on here make it seem! I definitely will be coming back again next month when we come to the Aquarium :)

My family and I recently decided to give this place a try after hearing not so good reviews of this place from a friend who complained about both the food and the prices. Still our kid was mesmerized by the rainforest theme and all the animated animals. We went in and to our surprise the food was really good. and the prices werent that bad at all. Our kid got the kids meal (only $1.99). I ordered the chicken pita quesadilas (sp) for only $10 and my husband of course splurged on one of the more expensive combo platters that was probably about $15. Everything was really good. We saved so much on the kids meal, we picked up one of their cool take home cups with a fancy drink inside for her and she was ecstatic! Weve been back twice since and we love sitting near the big water fountain. Needless to say, now everytime we go to the mall she heads straight for the Rainforest cafe and we love it too.

The food is very overpriced- and lets face it.... not very good. Our server was distracted almost every time she came to our table- looking at other places in the restaurant while speaking with us. She placed my drink between my two kids on the other side of the table and literally tossed the straws around the table without looking where they were going while she was looking elsewhere. My daughter asked her a question about an entree and she was a little snippy with her answer. Apparently everyone is supposed to know everything ahead of time about the menu. We asked for boxes- 3 of us had leftover food. She brought one small To go container for us to cram everything in. The experience was fun for our little ones, but we wont be back. We did it once and thats more than enough. And to think we drove over 90 min to eat there. What were we thinking?!
