First the good.... They have good pizza. Real good. We have some dietary restrictions in our family and they have probably the best gluten free pizza weve ever had. Typically their service is good. Now the bad... One incident can leave a foul taste. We recently had a birthday party for my 8 year old son in which we ordered online at about 2:00 p.m. for delivery at 4:00 p.m. We received a voicemail at approx 3:30 p.m. stating that because of a large order they were filling, they could not deliver until close to 6:00 p.m. We had to cancel our order and scramble to make alternative food arrangements. Now the ok... Since neither the manager nor the owner was there at the time, I contacted Cottage Inn Corporate via email. I received an apology from Deborah Masse VP of Operations. She indicated I would be contacted by the franchise owner. A day later, the owner, Bill McDonald sent an apology as well. Per his explanation, there is currently no way for them to block online orders. So if they have an unusually large order that is causing a backup, you will never know that when you order online. That is what happened to us. Now in our case they did call shortly after the order was placed, However we missed the call. They did not leave a message. They called again over an hour later and at that time they left a message. From my standpoint that was too late in the game. The staff apparently told Bill that they had attempted to call several times. That did not happen as our logs only showed the missed call and the voicemail call half hour before scheduled delivery. Bill did offer us a credit as a means to make it up to us, so that was nice. He also said he was working on getting this hole in the online ordering system fixed. My advice is to enjoy the pizza but be wary of the online ordering system and make sure you can experience delivery delay if ordering for a special event.

I work for a hotel in Auburn Hills. We order and referrer the Auburn Hills Cottage Inn to our guest every other day if not every day. On 8/9/2014 at 11:18pm, I ordered a bbq chicken pizza and club sub, when I bit into my pizza I was stabbed in the top of my mouth. When I spit out the pizza my mouth was bleeding and it was a clear, sharp plastic object. When I called I spoke to Kennon, he asked was the plastic hard when I said yes and tried to continue my story he cut me off and said he would credit my account, I asked if I could get my money back he said, "no" he could give me a credit and that was all he could do for me. I was unsatisfied with his tone and the way he dealt with the situation, I asked if the credit could be used at a different Cottage Inn he said no, but went on to explain that he could try to transfer the credit in the morning. I am not happy that I have to pay for a pizza that I am afraid to eat, I am not happy that I am forced to use my credit at the same terrible store, and I am unhappy how Kennon could care less about their mistake. I will be contacting the store in the morning to speak with a manager,because hopefully Kennon is not the person who represents the store, and I will try to speak with the owner if it applies. I have worked in customer service for over 10years and I am disturbed with the customer service I have received from your store. He never apologized! As I was typing this I decided to look at my sub to see if it was editable and a long hair was stuck underneath the tomato I am outraged and will be at the store in the morning this is ridiculous and I will be going to the store in the morning even if I have to wait. I will never eat at Cottage Inn no matter free or not and I will be speaking with my owner so we wont recommend Cottage inn to our guest. I will never eat here again and will not be recommending it to any of our guest.

The worst pizza experience i have ever had and i am 40 yrs old. I would not recommend this place even as a joke. Some choice words TERRIBLE SERVICE HORRIBLE COSTOMER SERVICE IGNORANT TO TIME just to mention a few. Only place i know to get a HAWAIIAN pizza with no PINEAPPLE but plentyOF CHICKEN. LOL. ONLY TO HAVE REDELIVERED A HR LATER TO RETRIEVE THE WRONG PIZZA AND BRING BACK ANOTHER HAWAIIAN PIZZA WITH GUESS WHAT NO FLIPPIN PINEAPPLE. WHAT A JOKE. THEN OFFERED A 2 LITTER FOR MY TROUBLES. TERRIBE HORRIBLE AND IGNORANT. BEWARE...................

I ordered two Nino Pizzas about 30 minutes before they closed. Made it to my destination and bit into the pizza with little to no sauce . I ordered a bbq chicken pizza and a meat lovers pizza with pineapple. I should be able to taste the sauce on my pizza. Spoke to the manager who was very rude asked him if I could bring the pizzas in for an exchange for a new one or something. He very rudely said No! I am from out of town and never had that kind of customer service. I would never order from them again!

I went here when visiting a friend at Oakland University last week. The pizza seemed kind of pricey but I had never ordered specialty pizza before. I tried the Chicken Mediterranean pizza which had grilled chicken and lots of fresh ingredients. It tasted like a homemade pizza. They didnt have a very large drink selection but their staff was fast and friendly and the place seemed to be fairly clean. I plan on going back and trying a different specialty pizza next time Im in the area.

The best Customer Service at the Auburn Hills location! I place very large orders for the office staff and its always delivered on time and hot! I had one issue that I ordered round and rcvd a deep dish (and unfortunately the person it was for cant have all that bread) I called and offered to pay for another pizza since others had already eaten some of it and they graciously made us the pizza and delivered it at no charge! Very Polite and very gracious and understanding!

A few of us were staying at a hotel in Auburn Hills last night for a concert and decided to order pizza befor the show. We told them we were kind of in a hurry, and they said theyd bump our order up and get it out asap. Sure enough, the pizza arrived in about 25 minutes. They have a pretty wide selection of specialty pizzas and other stuff with decent prices. I wish there was a Cottage Inn closer to me, because the pizza really is better than the big chains.

Delicious pizza and garlic cheesy bread. Honestly the best I have ever had! I have cravings for it all the time and will never go anywhere else to satisfy my craving for it! Thank you cottage inn pizza for creating such wonderful combinations and delicious, work of art creations!!! P.s. me being a HUGE garlic and cheese fan, I also eat the cheesy garlic bread with the delectable garlicky cream cheese dip. Truly magnificent!!!
