One day after work I decided to go here with 3 of my employees, one of which is my son. I have lived in Ann Arbor for many years, but never went to this place. We decided on Baskin Robbins this time because my sons girlfriend was recently hired there, and we thought it would be nice to visit, and get some ice cream. When we arrived on a Friday evening it was completely empty, save for a mother and her baby. At one point the mother unknowingly dropped a small sock belonging to her child, and one of my employees politely picked it up and returned it to her. While there some of our friends also stopped by because we were there. One of my employees ate 2 large cones, I bought ice cream for myself, and 2 more to go for my wife and daughter waiting at home. We spent alot of money on ice cream, I think between myself, my employees and our friends it could have been $100.00 +tips Ice cream was good. When I left I waved goodbye to My sons girlfriend who was doing great at her new job, and I also said goodbye to who might have been the manager. To my extreme dismay, I later found out that my sons girlfriend was reprimanded for us being there!?!! She was told that we were having "too much fun" Also I heard that a customer that came in later said that we were sitting in all of the chairs? We simply sat where there were chairs. First off, the place sells ice cream, its supposed to be a fun place! If there were more customers like us in there on a regular basis, maybe the place wouldnt be empty on a Friday night. Lets say we were the first customers to not sit and stare like idiots into an iPhone, and instead decided to , gasp, interact with each other and the establishment. Maybe there is nothing in the Baskin Robbins corporate handbook to handle "spontaneous joy". Well BR, what does that have to do with your employees?!? How is your employee responsible for who comes in, and how the customers behave? Happy, sad or otherwise?!? Guess what BR, Im reprimanding you! Shame on you! You punished a girl whos job is to give people ice cream, and she did that job swimmingly. Not only that, shes single-handedly responsible for at least $100.00 in sales!!, we only went there because she was working. Had you not totally misunderstood how to treat customers and employees we may have come back every Friday indefinitely. We probably would have invited more friends = Lots of happy people buying lots of ice-cream. But you blew it. Seriously, you just dont get it. Basically You suck. Big time.

The ice cream is so delicious and tasty. The ladies behind the counter are kind and friendly. The only thing that disappointed me was that they put the chairs on the tables at 9 while they close at 10. I had to stand and eat my ice cream.
