Just not worth the hype. So im going to be as fair and honest as I can be. I brought my family here for breakfast from two towns over on a Sunday at roughly 11am. I knew there would be a long wait. So we waited about a 1/2 hr which is typical of this place. Everyone knows that going in. The problems started here when my family of three were seated at a table for two. Two four top table/booths were open on either side of us. Seeing that the place was slammed i didnt complain we just tried to squeeze in and make it work. But after seeing parties of three sat at these four top booths i went to the front to ask why since we were ahead of both of these parties. The hostess just sort of gave me the deer in headlights look. The original young man that sat us said oh thats my fault i didnt know those tables were open...huh? So I responded, oh i guess im just out of luck then? He responded...yeah. There is just nothing here to justify the wait. The food is average. Not poor. Just nothing special here. I ordered blueberry pancakes and it was actually the manager that delivered the food to the table and said "oh yeah i owe you another pancake they are making it now".....huh? So i responded dont bother im all set. She then wanted to get into an argument with me in front of my family with my breakfast on the table. Just a comedy of errors here and not one apology from anyone. Judging from the snarky responses from ownership on previous poor reviews, why would they care? The place is banged out every day. Just not worth it.

The food was okay it seems their claim to fame is putting candy in their food. Im not huge on sweets and just got a waffle with a side of sausage. The sausage seemed like it was just frozen sausage links that were very dry. The waffle was not bad but it did not stand out in anyway it was just like ever other waffle. Girlfriend had Reeses peanut butter cup pancakes. She enjoyed them and said they where very good. She also had a side of home fries, they had good flavor but are sliced potatos with skins on them. So if you dont mind potato skins then they are definitely worth trying. The service was not the best but the lady did a good job keeping water cups full. She just did not seem welcoming at all and might of just been having a bad day. I give it 3 stars because of the dried sausage, service being meh, and waffle being nothing to brag about.

The food is okay, but not even close to Zoes (Harvard Square) or Zaftigs (Coolidge Corner). This morning, we were told that we should expect to wait for 20-25 min. After waiting for 50 min, the waitress (manager?), came out to tell us that we should expect to wait another 30 min. She only had tables for big parties, and regardless of the fact that she was then sitting parties of three that had been waiting for less than 10 min, she would not give us (two people) a larger table. It probably makes sense to them, I see it is a strong sign that they are not interested in retaining clients. Their location is convenient for us (we can walk), but thats it. Might as well drive somewhere else, where they respect clients. Not going back.

I heard good things about this restaurant and today I decided to come with my dad but Once I walked in the hostess just sent us on our own and didnt even brought menus like they do with Everyone else. After the server brought the menus we ordered and the food came it all looked cool and nice but they did not provided us with silverware and couldnt eat for like 5 minutes until another server brought the silver ware. I was not even half way done and the server brought the check to the table, like what the hell?! I was red to order dessert and some food to go. Not a good service and the food isnt great its just average you can find in other places with way better service

In a Pickle used to be one of my favorite places to come on a Sunday for breakfast. I highly recommend "The Ringer" if you are in the mood to indulge. It comes with eggs, home fries, pancakes or french toast, and bacon or sausage. The food is excellent, and they recently moved from Main street to Moody street to a much larger and nicer location. The lunch sandwiches are also pretty good, but I mainly come for breakfast. Only downside is they only serve breakfast and lunch, Id love to come here after work for dinner some time.

Been coming to this place for years, love the service and the food. Its worth the wait on a Saturday morning, would recommend coming before 9:30am and after 11:30am if you dont want to wait too long. The pancakes are huge and though the classic pancake batter they have is light and gets that wonderful crust from the griddle their stuffed pancakes become a bit hard to eat and dont cook all the way through. The value and portions are great, I recommend the Diablo omelet and the chocolate chip banana pancakes.

I love this place for brunch! If you love sugary breakfast foods like I do you need to try this place out. My favorite is probably the Nutella french toast. They have good lunch food too, but their breakfast is really their best. Waiting times can get long so if its a Saturday or Sunday morning you gotta get there early. Warning: if you have a peanut allergy you pretty much cant eat here. Unfortunately it says right on the menu that they cant guarantee that there is no cross-contamination with peanuts.

Probably the best breakfast/brunch location in the Moody Street area, as evidenced by the massive crowd that gathers every Saturday and Sunday morning. The Caramel Crunch French Toast is my personal dish of choice, a delicious affair of crunchy french toast and whipped cream. Offering standard breakfast meals like pancakes, waffles, and omelettes, and offbeat oddities like Marshmallow Chocolate Dreamcakes, In A Pickle is always my brunch choice.

A great local spot for breakfast. My friend and I both had the pancakes, 2 eggs over easy with sausage and bacon. The pancakes are thick and filling - you could share 2. I got blueberries, but they were just the frozen mini ones. Bacon was thin. Eggs, however was delicious. Coffee was good along with the friendly waiters and atmosphere. They have funny unique posters hanging everywhere. Not recommended it you are in a rush.

Delicious pancakes and french toast. Eggs are decent. But prices cant be beat and their new space is really nice and spiffy. Their old spot was such a great neighborhood joint but the new spot is bigger which is great since there were always crowds at the last one. Ive only been here on off hours so I cant speak to a wait for breakfast but the service is great and I love their carbs for breakfast! Great smoothies too!

One of the first restaurants I went to after moving to Waltham was In A Pickle. I am so happy that I did. Their breakfasts are amazing. One of the first items I had there was a Pumpkin Bread French Toast with Cream Cheese Icing. AMAZING!!! Like that, they have specials that rotate and I have yet to be disappointed. Make sure to go early on weekends, because they get really busy.
